Ciana Stone has been reading since the age of three, and wrote her first story at age five. Since then she enjoyed writing as a solitary form of entertainment, before coming out of the closet to share her stories with others. She holds several post graduate degrees and has often been referred to as a professional student. Her latest fields of interest are quantum mechanics and Taoism. When she is not writing (or studying) she enjoys painting (canvas, not walls), sculpting, running, hiking and yoga. She lives with her longtime lover in several locations in the United States.
There's a few things missing with this set, and I bought the first book in its own and the spring for the set so sadly it's across the series, there are lots of typos. Simple things like chilly instead of chilli and dropped letters from words, but it really takes away, for me. Also there's no blurb?? I had to go to each book on its own for the blurbs. With that being said, I enjoyed the stories enough to read them all which is saying something for me. I liked the town and all the characters and some of the plot twists I never saw coming, which is awesome. The last 2 stories, not the bonus one, felt rushed and there were too many side stories that I wish had their own books. Also there's still some characters left, is it really over?? Lol. Best of luck in the future with writing, I enjoy these stories. I will look at the authors other books, I hope the editing has improved.
I read and reviewed each book separately. Overall, this is a 3-star read. The stories are entertaining and pull on characters, world-building, and drama to make a rainy-day book set. The stories are engaging. There were some editing issues throughout the set that may get annoying if you read straight through, but some books were worse than others. I did find myself skipping through some scenes. I've always found Ciana Stone's writing engaging. I think my favorite is the Seven series which actually ties into some of the Cotton Creek stories. This set is not fit for people under 18 due to adult scenes.
It is the only way to truly appreciate this series and have a character list at hand. As one reviewer said I think in book 4, it got really confusing with everyone. Each book had a mystery or suspense, tasteful bedroom scenes and not muchPOV. The stories relied on dialogue and interaction between characters. These stories were about small town life and how they maintained this life when outside forces invaded them.
This series is so good I've injoyed these stories so much . highly recommend all of these stories .if you love Romance,Intrigue, friends and family laughs action, a little paranormal these stories have it all and more don't pass up the gang join them at Billy's Honky Tonky Angels.
My Daddy's from a small Texan town. The way these books were written is truly how folks live in Texas. I believe in love and Angels, so, why not name one Joe. I would recommend this series. Fun read. God Bless Texas.
I am saying this seven Book Set was a very enjoyable Read. It has been a trip, a good Trip! Many strong Woman, Handsome Men who all live in one West Texas Town. Along came Joe who was an 👼 It was easy to deal a 5 🌟 Smile get set, GO!
I love that this series covers so many favorite characters and I feel like I am living the story with them all. You will enjoy this book series and treasure the memories. Wonderful love stories. I always enjoy a visit from Joe (guardian angel).
Each book has drama, danger, love and surprises. The last book in this group was a little different for me. Several errors, but overall really good. I was glad to get to know the people of Cotton Creek.
Honky Tonk Angels was a great collection of stories by Ciana Stone. These story had a bit of everything in them from suspense , danger, family drama and definitely some love. I really enjoyed these book and I absolutely recommend them.
The characters in this series are so well-drawn, you feel an affinity for them right away, and the inhabitants of Cotton Creek are well integrated throughout, which only adds to the appeal and overall enjoyment of each book. Each storyline is so engrossing, you’ll find them hard to put down. But they are fast-paced reads so it’s easy to stay involved. There’s plenty of drama, moments of violence, a touch of the supernatural, some steam, and lots of hot cowboy love. It’s all just enough to keep you entertained from beginning to end. I highly recommend this gripping, exciting, and very appealing series!
I have only read Playing for Keeps (Book 5), Lookin’ for Trouble (Book 6), and the holiday novella, Coming Home: A Cotton Creek Christmas, out of Honky Tonk Angels: A seven book holiday set, but I loved all 3 stories, as I have every book I have read by Ciana Stone. I really enjoyed reading about the Sweet family and all of the other residents and visitors to Cotton Creek, Texas. I most especially enjoyed the Christmas novella, Coming Home, the second chance love story of Olivia and Max. It was such a wonderful story of truly finding your place in the world after being lost for so long and brought out so many emotions. It may be short and sweet, but it is packed with happiness and Christmas spirit. It was also nice to catch up with the other characters from the two other books I’ve read in the series. I was so excited when I saw this series was being released as a box set because now I get to go back to the beginning and catch up on the first 4 books that I somehow missed, and at such a savings. Ms. Stone has a way of transporting the reader into the story and each new book I read was like visiting old friends. This is a must read if you like small town romance, or romance of any kind. Ciana Stone is one of my go to authors and this is one of my very favorite romance series. I truly enjoyed what I have read of it, and highly recommend the Honky Tonk Angels series.
Below Is a review of two of the representative stories I focused on in this collection. This entire series is incredible! >>> Reviewing “Book 5: Playing for Keeps” <<< Cade Beckett felt it was time to move on to something else. He had made a success of the hotel and casino he owned and was ready for more in his life. Then his mom called and asked if he could help out his two cousins by running their bar so they could get a break and take care of their other work challenges. So he move home to help out his family.
Roxie and Dini were heading to Mexico from Vegas after Dini caught her boyfriend cheating on her. On the way, Dini suggested that instead they find a small town to settle in with real jobs, something totally different from being a Vegas showgirl. As if on cue, the car fell apart all over the road, dropping engine parts all over the highway!
Dini quickly got a job at the town’s diner and Roxie met Cade who offered her a job at the bar he was managing for his cousins. Because Cade was attracted to her, and she would not date someone she worked for, he drew her into a bet. If she could resist him for 3 weeks, she would get a big bonus and he would fix her car so she could leave. Otherwise, they would be seeing a whole lot more of each other! She could hold out for 3 weeks, right?
I loved this book! It was home and family and relationships and it just felt so right. The characters were so real that they felt like good friends. The action never stopped, with mysteries and double-dealing going on all around. I highly recommend this incredible book. It has everything you need to keep you intrigued and eagerly turning the pages. It never gets stale!
>>> Reviewing “Book 6: Lookin’ for Trouble” <<< Riggs had decided not to get together with Cody Sweet when he got released from the hospital. All his visitors had urged him to avoid her. But he also was uncomfortable about his own feelings for her. There were too many things that could get complicated fast! With his resolve to avoid her firmly in place, he looked up and there she was in the doorway! Before he knew it, they were wrapped around each other and moving toward the hospital bed to take care of things! If it hadn’t been for Nurse Debbie, well . . .
Cody spotted an old school friend walking with a child. Belinda needed a job and a place to live. Cody temporarily offered for her to stay at the ranch. But Belinda showed up with a man at the bar. Code found out they had given the child Benedryl to make her sleep in the truck while they came in to party! Cody’s mom came to get the child for the night; and when Cody was finally free to have it out with Belinda, she and the man were gone. How could a mother act this way???
Cody’s sister, Hannah, in the meantime is causing everyone intense grief! She has become a Bridezilla and everyone cringes when she comes near. Cooper even tried to talk lher into going to Paris to marry and forget about the elaborate wedding! Will she ever get to walk down that aisle and fulfill her childhood dream?
I love reading this author’s books! You have humor, suspense, relationships, and a fantastic story line that keeps on going! What more could you want? The characters come to life and the reader feels the strong family closeness. I highly recommend this book! It’s well worth your time to read and enjoy it!
I love this series so much! Honestly, it is one of my favorites and I keep coming back to it over and over again. I read all of the books individually, but it is a great deal to buy the entire boxed set like this. Overall, Ciana Stone covers a variety of couples in different situations, as well as different age pairings, reminding all of us that love does not expire. I would recommend reading this series after Ciana's other series', as there are some characters who overlap.
I am not going to review each book individually, as I have already done that on the different pages. Just know, the average rating of the entire series is 4.95. I love Ciana Stone and this series is a wonderful collection of love stories. The new one, only included within and not sold individually, is Coming Home, A Cotton Creek Christmas. Here is my review for that story: I loved this story! It really brought everyone together and was a good way to finish out the Cotton Creek series! Unlike the rest of the books in the series, this book was not primarily centered in Cotton Creek at the Honky Tonk, but most of our favorite characters were present and we got to see some happy endings. Beyond the finishing touches on this wonderful series that I have loved, this book also reminded me of the skills of Ciana Stone. She has always been able to write and enchanting story, but this time she also tackled a little bit a taboo or potentially uncomfortable topic with the age difference in these characters, and she did an amazing job. She still mastered the story and sucked me right in! I would absolutely recommend this book to everyone! I will say that you have to read all of the previous books in order, as you won't be able to fully appreciate all of the wonderful characters throughout this story.
As always, yet another great read from Ciana Stone. You reduced me to tears lady!! A wonderful tale of an older woman & younger man. A lifetime spent loving each other as they moved on with their lives, after Olivia was forced to move away. Max never stopped loving her & as you read you see the depth of their love, the pain at seperation, the loss of that love, but yet, never stopping their love for the other. I half expected to see Joe but the pair did the work on their own once emotions settled to think & see straight. This was a great read, full of soooo much emotion that I had tears forming. I loved it & despite being about two new characters, the Honky Tonk crew were still there as we see Cody finally say 'I do' with Riggs. I received this book as part of a review club & am voluntarily reviewing this book gifted to me by the Candid Books To Review Club. But please note I am also a very big fan of this authors works anyway, :) having brought most of her collections to date. Always hungry for more.
I've read a lot of the Honky Tonk Angels series. And I loved them all so far. Her bonus story at the end didn't disappoint either. Maxwell may have forged on from his past heartbreak, but he hasn't forgotten the love who left him. And as far as he is concerned, she is still the one, but he wants answers and he wants them now. Olivia aka Liv has made a name for herself out in the photography world. If only her heartache would leave too. But somethings where never meant to be. Or could they still? When a blast from her past, struts in still just as handsome and eyes just as expressive, will she shy away because of the past or will she fight for what she wants in her heart?
I've read a few of the HONKY TONK ANGELS books but not all. I did want to write a review for COTTON CREEK CHRISTMAS in this boxed set. A great read of young love and a cougar. They didn't set out to fall in love but they did. She's got about 10 years on him but he doesn't care. She stands firm though on him being 18 first. Life threw them some hard knocks and they went their separate ways. 10 years later, they meet face to face. Do they get a 2nd chance? Can they overcome some of the hurdles of their pasts? Read & see:)
I started with the Christmas novella "Cotton Creek Christmas" and I just had to start reading the other stories in this bundle. Not a disappointing one in the bunch so far. They are easy to read one after the other and you don't feel like any story is repeating itself. The flow is so smooth between the books I have been seriously impressed.
Don't pass up this bundle to read as it is worth taking the time and spending the money to obtain.
I LOVE this series. It's well written, the storylines are interesting and the characters are captivating. The stories are full of drama, suspense, romance, betrayal, twists and hope. The characters will melt your heart and make you smile and make you cry. Each couple is special and every story is engrossing. This series should be on your TBR list, it won't disappoint.
I've read and reviewed each one of these books separately (except for the last book), and I haven't been disappointed with any of them. The last book is like a bonus holiday special and it's such a great way to end this series! Happy reading : )
This box set and the different yet intertwined stories was a great read. Each story line and the characters are are full of every drama you could imagine but yet there is hope, love, family and laughter. The characters will take you on a journey, leaving you feeling that you actually know them.
The perfect gift for yourself...ALL of the Honkey Tonk Angels books in one place plus a bonus read!! It doesn't get any better than this. 😍
Ciana Stone knows her way around a place like Cotton Creek--and her books and characters show it! The storylines are aces; you become intimately familiar with all her characters--even the ones you love to hate--and the emotional highs and lows...keep tissues handy.
I've read each of these books multiple times and they just get better with each read. Do yourself a favor...1-Click this collection today! ❤️
I Loved this collection! Each book is a heart warming read. I loved each characters. The storytelling was flowed beautifully. However, if I had a favorite would be Book 1: Southern Comfort Annalise + Riley like they were made for each other. There are no cliffhangers. Each book got their own HEA
