I thought the first story with the wizard was pretty cute. I liked their relationship and I think it was a nice sweet little story. The second story with the angel was fine. I don't really understand why they liked each other. Also it was a little rape-y, so that wasn't fun. Third story with the invisible man... honestly, I already forget what happened. Not nearly enough development between the two characters or their relationship. Forth story with the train was super icky and creepy. It had relationships between an adult and a child and said child was also regular groped by other characters. If you decide to read this, I recommend skipping all the extra stories.
What I love most about this title is the world the author created. It's our world but with magic, a world where humans and magical creatures live side by side. The main couple, a wizard and human real estate agent, were so charming and loveable. I especially loved how they kept popping up in the other stories. It helped this world feel cohesive and cozy even if the other stories didn't quite live up to the first.
Yet another BL volume that’s made up of multiple short stories. They’re all actually relatively good for what they are, but I still think expanding the main story (or removing it and expanding one of the others) would have been better. It felt a bit like “false advertising” since the title story is so short and bland.
What I mean is, the premise of the magical and non magical worlds intersecting is neat but here it felt lazy. Like the story was too bland so the editor was like “hey what if one of them was a wizard?” So they made a couple changes but the story was still pretty lifeless… I think the whole realtor thing was pointless, and they don’t really “live together” like the title claims, nor does that cause any real conflict of any kind as it implies.
Not sure I could really recommend this one either.
This is a compilation of short stories. I liked the first two set in a magical world where human and mythical creatures coexist in harmony, very cute and whimsical.
Seme is a beautiful long haired magician, grew up with his strict magic educator grandma after his parents passed away in accident. After his grandma passed away the seme continued her work at the university, conducting research on healing magic and teaching students.
The seme wants to sell the old family house and downsize to start a new life. The uke is real estate agent helping seme with home search. The seme is keen on pursuing the uke but the uke pretends that he’s got a lover already. The next day the uke’s cat got cursed and the uke had to find seme to lift the spell, while also suspecting that seme is angry about the rejection…
2nd story 同時収録作品 ハートアンドアロー (意外的邱比特之箭) The uke is an angel who dislikes human because they have ugly heart, he’s failing at his job as cupid and got sent to earth for an marching assignment to be completed within a week. Cupid fell into the seme’s garden and accidentally shot an arrow into the seme’s head, also begin helping out at the seme’s flower shop while living upstairs. The seme has a poker face and is cold to the uke, so the uke decided to go back to heaven…
One night the uke uses his magic key to open up the seme’s chest and saw a bunch of sparking heart shaped crystals, he also heard the seme’s true feelings… When stuffing the crystals back into the seme, uke accidentally left out one (self control heart), so the seme suddenly becomes very expressive…
The uke is a doctor. The seme is a sales at pharmaceutical company who would turn into an invisible man when he is nervous… Unfortunately I didn’t read this story because it wasn’t available online.
4th story 同時収録作品 躾のできない男の子 (無法管教的男孩) The seme is a working professional, one morning he stopped the high school uke being molested on the train… Then he found out the uke is actually quite used to this because he can’t wake up earlier to avoid rush hour train… The seme couldn’t help but keeps on saving the uke time and time again, until one day the uke realizes that he want his first time to be with the seme…
I didn't like it much. It's different stories set in the same universe, so every couple has a chapter or two to tell their story. The relationships are too quick in developing and they didn't make much sense to me... Some even made me uncomfortable. A shame, because the design was quite cute...
I did not realize this was a collection of different stories. They were all rushed and confusing. 2 stories depicted an underage relationship and dubious consent. This was not for me
The rating is for the main story (and maybe a little for the second with the Cupid) as I didn’t particularly care for the additional chapters (stories). All of the stories take place in the same universe where humans and magical beings/creatures interact/coexist with a couple briefly featuring the main couple.
