C.M. Sutter was born in San Jose, California and split time between the sunny California coast and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. As a senior in high school, she chose Wisconsin as her permanent address. After many years in the Badger State, she decided on a warmer year-round climate to call home and moved south. Years of progression took her from working in large companies, to twelve years as a massage therapist, and finally, owning a corporation. She has been self-employed for over twenty years. Ms. Sutter has been writing and self-publishing since 2014 with eleven titles published in a different genre. Because of her deep interest in crime and thriller novels, she took up writing in the police procedural/crime thriller genre in 2016.
Excellent! Psychic stuff never really interested me but Sutter introduced the star of one of her other series (the one I wasn’t planning on reading) and I loved it. Jade Monroe is a great cop character. The stories are fun and hard boiled.
Sutter also creates creepy bad guys and she was at the top of her game here. Her books may not be huge best sellers but they are always good. Give her a try.
Pretty good read, although I'm not fond of psychic stuff, this one wasn't bad. You do know who the killers are from the start - I prefer to guess who the killer(s) is/are!
She has been my favorite LEO so far. I realized early on that once upon a time, I wanted to be someone like her. Instead I chose family over a career but this lets me gets lost in the police world. I love it.
Psychics and premonitions aren't my favourite themes for crime books, but I found this one to be very clever. Kate Pierce is a Psychic living in North Bend, Wisconsin, who has previously helped police detectives in other states. When she dreams of two women being attacked, she reports them to Det. Sergeant Jade Monroe. Could these attacks and possible visions be related to Robert Lynch's pending release from prison after a 10 year sentence for attempted murder of Kate? With no obvious matching cases, and the potential for the locations of the visions being in other states, how much can Kate and her fellow Sheriff Department Detectives do to investigate the possibility that these crimes will happen?
As usual for C.M. Sutter, the story is told from the perspectives of both Jade and the criminals, along with Kate's dreams this time.
Good book but I didn't like the beginning or how Kate was treated. I hate close minded people & I will admit that I was once one of those people but I am learning to be more open minded, to be more accepting & understanding to other people's situation. Unfortunately I can't say the same for the rest of my family.
This novel is full of unnecessary details like irrelent cases, things which have no relevance to story, details of eatables, coffee, family ties, tea etc etc which makes it quite boring. If we remove them the novel will be of its quarter size
Jade Monroe is the Sergeant in Sheriff's department near North Bend, Wisconsin. She doesn't believe in psychics but knows there is one living in town. Kate moved there two years ago. She claims she is having nightmares about women being murdered. Kate keeps calling Jade to tell her about the nightmares but Jade just brushes her off.I Here's thinks she needs to talk to the woman so Jade decides to find Kate's history. After listening to Dr story and sees her scars Made to decides to check into her story and the man who assaulted her. A fast paced whodunit that keeps you turning the pages until the very end. I have become a fan of C. M. Sutter books. I will read the last book in this series and go to her next series. Great reading.
Wow! Shocking and scary! This one really makes me worry about dating because of what happens. I mean these guys are just ick! They seem so cold blooded…listening to them choose and the follow through just no emotion unless they are worried about getting caught. I said the last one was creepy but this one is even more. Kate has every reason to be scared to death of them coming for her.
I really enjoyed all the action, suspense and drama in here. I loved the closing of the last book that was in here as well as the intro to a couple scary guys looking for revenge. This story moves along at a quick pace and easily kept my interest.
I love this series! The audio is so good! I enjoy listening to Nicole Zanzarella narrate this! Well Done!
I really got involved in this book. And things began to click! How did i know something was going to happen? Well, i had read this book along time ago. And i remembered i like it then. So i kept reading, in fact most of the nite and morning because i couldnt get enough of it. I had forgotten lots of things. And just now finished it. I love her way of writing! And this is just book 4? I want more haha! So i leave this to you...enjoy its a good one!
Exciting plot, moves along fast. Content is violent. Note to author, be careful of words chosen for characters. I don't think Tony Lynch would ever use the word cordial. I've noticed this in the last two books. Mandy, in book three, used some words I don't think an uneducated, backward girl would use. This book was really interesting, even though the brothers were really psychos!
Everyone has had those moments of deja vu. I'm not sure I believe in the true psychic ability that is written about in this fictional account. I'm also not certain that a P.D. or sheriff's department would be very accepting of a psychic's help like this account. Even with those doubts, I still enjoyed the book. I find this author's work to be easy to read, fairly realistic, and condensed enough to be extremely convenient. I will continue to read her work.
I was actually cringing reading this book but had to see it through. I felt as though there was a change in the professional relationship of Jack and Jade during this book and they weren't as close and looking after each other in the same way. Was a bit like Jack was a second thought and was surprised that he didn't try and stop Jade's plan or try and talk her out of it.
I have absolutely fallen in love with this series and the character in the Monroe-verse. While books #2 and #3 were ok installments, Premonition recaptured the magic of the first back, added a new side character, and easily had the most disgusting hate-able antagonists. I will read this book again, but more importantly I can’t wait to read book #5.
Best one yet I loved this book the entire series has been great. Keeps you on the edge of you seat. just when you think you know what will happen next CM Sutter puts a new twist in great read a roller-coaster of twists and turns. I can't wait to read next book and start next series of Jade Monroe. Keep them coming. Thank you
Kept me thrilled throughout. Can't think of anything that I really didn't like. I plan on continuing with this author and series. Will order my next one now
This thriller kept me interested all the way through. I will definitely get the next one out. When does it.
Even a mommy's love can't change behavior. Psychics added to the mix and you have a great story. Throw in a holiday and you add another layer. Enjoy the story.
The storyline stayed actively keeping my attention. A new character was introduced who became friends of the heroine with the heroine setting up the criminals to charge them and prevent their new friend from being a vic
Other reviews mentioned that the story had a lot of irreverent stories or pieces but I did not feel that way. I like the way that each book has information and plot lines that connect them to the next book and so on.
Impressed! Enjoyed the multiple perspectives and how straightforward the writing is; that's not usually my compliment, but, in this case, I appreciated it.
