This book is a hoot! Darling takes you on a tour of New Orleans while solving a quirky mystery. The characters were fun and effervescent. You need to put this on your list. PS She also inspired me to book a trip to the Big Easy.
When a monk drops dead on romance novelist Ellington Martini during a Mardi Gras parade, she thinks it is entirely random. But when she finds the old photograph the man slid into her purse, she knows something more is going on. With the help of her friends, Ellington gathers clues and solves the mystery behind the monk’s death. This book takes the reader through the streets of New Orleans, its mansions and shops, restaurants and bars built by pirates, showing us the beautiful, the fantastic and the weird. Vivacious and funny, this book is a delightful blend of Nancy Drew and Di Vinci Code. Spending time with Ellington is like spending time with an old friend.
