Ok, I'm going to be honest and say the older woman/ younger man trope is weird for me. Especially since the younger man is her adult sons best friend. It's probably hypocritical since I enjoy the exact opposite trope very much, but there you have it. Despite the weirdness, this was still a very hot read! I like the way the author handled this taboo relationship, but I'm not surprised. Penny Wylder has become a "must read" author for me and this is no exception. ARC provided by author.

While reading this incredible example of highbrow literature, I pondered the philosophical question of why the majority of our society is fine with a much older man and a younger woman than the opposite. Is it because this has been the norm since caveman days? It this because of procreation, old eggs vs old sperm?
Thank goodness he didn't call her mommy because as much as daddy kink grosses me out, mommy kink would probably sent me over the edge. Is this a thing...wait, don't tell me, I don't want to know.

Trevor and Stella wasted no time getting touch-feely with each other, but the intimacy scenes were hella sexy, although there was one dinner scene that was a bit fantastical! Overall, this was a fun, quickie story with very likable characters--a great, smutty read for the holidays! En-joyed!

I really enjoyed this book about an older woman (Stella) and her son's best friend (Trevor) who is a hot, hockey player who plays at Boston University. I'm usually not a fan of older woman/younger man books though I really enjoy the older man/younger woman books, however I thought this one was well done. I did only give 4 stars instead of 5 because I would've loved to read a longer version of this story. I thought the end was a bit rushed where The sex scenes were extremely sexy and hot and I really enjoy that touch of forbidden and the knowledge that they may get caught by her family members.
I've read all of Penny Wylder's other books and am glad that this one is just as enjoyable as all the other ones I've read. I can't wait to read more from Ms. Wylder!

I enjoyed this more than I expected to. I usually am not a fan of the older woman/younger man set up. I prefer it to be the other way around, but it didn't really bother me. I loved the h Stella and Trevor was an amazing H despite him only being 20. If you are looking for a fast-paced smutfest that is completely safe, I highly recommend this story.

well, It was short...I loved it!...Stella's resistance to Trevor was very interesting, very exciting... the sex... wow... I loved it... straight to my favorites... how crazy of me, I thought Stella wanted to have a threesome... with Trevor and imagine...who???

I really enjoyed this book. Stella deserves to find love in her life after putting it on hold while raising her son. She just never thought she would find it with her son's best friend Trevor. Can't wait to read the extended epilogue to find out what happens 2 months later.

This is my real MILF romance story and is it hot and full of sexual heat. Stella is this single mother who has always felt this attraction to her son’s best friend, Trevor but never thought he would see her in that way and besides she was older than him and she was his BFF mother. When her son comes home for the holidays and brings Trevor with him, Stella never thought this handsome young man would want an older woman like her. How wrong she was. When Trevor suddenly showed all this interest , Stella found it hard to resist, even knowing she was playing with fire with a man who is considerably younger than her. There are some twists and turns in this story that make this a very satisfying read. You find out why the relationship is hidden and then when the lovebirds spring out and come out of the closet so to speak. OH and the bedroom sexual escapades are HOT HOT HOT. I loved it. It was a very well written older woman/younger man romance story flavored with spicy bedroom scenes; this is one story that I would definitely recommend. It is fast paced and is a novella type length.

This book is Hot!Hot!Hot!
When I read the synopsis I knew it was a book I had to read .
It's not very often you read a good book about the woman being older so this was a refreshing change for me.
I loved this book and my only complaint is that it ended.
It left me wanting more (in a very good way).
The extended epilogue made it better though and I suggest you sign up for that sweet ending.
Stella Woodward is a single mum in her thirties who has put her life on hold to bring up her son Brad.
Trevor King is Brads best friend and goes to Boston University with Brad.
Trevor ends up spending his christmas break with Brad and his family and that's when things get interesting.
This is a very tasteful story of love,families and giving into the taboo.
Sometimes it's worth taking the risk if it leads to a happiness like theirs.

My only complaint is that it had to end!! Trevor was sooo hot and knew exactly what he was doing... I can't resist a man who knows what he wants and knows exactly how to get it! I'm looking forward to reading the extended epilogue and much much more from Penny :-)

Stella is a fourty years old mother who had to raise her only child Brad alone cuz his father left them while she was pregnant. She raises him with all of her love. For this Christmas holiday Brad is coming back home from university with his best friend Trevor who Stella is attracted to even though she knows she shouldn't be. When they arrive Stella can't stop thinking about the big strong hockey player who is going to sleep on the couch right out of her bedroom. But Trevor is attached to his best friend's mother too since a long time and this holiday he decides to make a move even though Stella's siblings and their families are staying at the same house as them.
I really liked that it was Stella who was bigger cuz in most books it's the other way around even though i'm not a really big fan of age gaps stories but this one was really well written and the family didn't make it a big deal. I really like Brad cuz of his reaction cuz even though it's his best friend and mother he still is ready to accept it as long as they're both happy for which he really got my respect cuz i'm sure it's not easy but he's ready to try so they'll be happy.
The book had really cute moments like with the family talks, the treehouse, Trevor's birthday, the Christmas tree pick and really steamy too-Trevor's birthday, The couch, the good mornings, the family dinner, The epilogue.

Where has this author been all this time??
I was planning on reading some Alexa Riley books (I need to reach my book reading goal for the year!). But I couldn’t find their books on kindle which is weird. So I stumbled on this author and was intrigued.
The writing of this story was done so so well. There was a point where I thought this was a legit novel. The characters and the character development was written like in a regular novel.
The plot was simple and to the point. Something that’s needed in short stories like these. The plot I had no problem with.
The erotic moments in this book was written well too. The biggest thing I applaud was the fact that it wasn’t NOT believable. There are times in some books that I just wonder where they get some of their crap, but these moments were realistic and intentional.
Want a quick steamy read? This is the one for sure! 5 star rating.

I have to admit that I was uncomfortable with the subject of the book at first. I mean I'm a mom myself and I would never think of sleeping with my children's friends. But once I overcame that hesitation, the book managed to draw me in.
Quick Synopsis of the book:
It's Christmas time and Stella has brought her family together for the holidays. Her brother brings his wife and their twin boys, and her sister is there too. Her son also comes home from school for the break and his best friend tags along. Stella and Trevor end up sleeping together and try to hide it from the family.
Characters (some spoilers):
Stella - Our heroine and the person who narrates the story. She's spunky and full of life. There are a few things I don't like about her. It mentions that she has an office at home and that she's managing to keep up with work despite it being the holiday season yet it never tells you what she actually does. She's had a few nasty daydreams of Trevor once he was of legal age and tries to hide her attraction to him. She's never had a serious relationship since she broke up with her ex, almost 20 years ago. There is some character building throughout the story line as she deals with the hangups and fall-outs from her relationship with Trevor.
Trevor - Our hero and only 20 years old. He seems to know what he wants and what he wants is Stella in his bed (although they end up in her bed technically). He shows the normal cockiness associated with guys his age. His underhanded tricks a couple of times were easy to predict but that didn't stop me from enjoying reading it. Like most 20-somethings he tries to find a balance between sex and caring. We watch as he grows slightly throughout the book although his mind is very much focused on sex most of the time.
Brad - Our heroine's son and a 20ish year old himself (it never does give his actual age but since he and Trevor were friends in High School and now in College I'm assuming they're the same age). He's had it tough as a kid since he grew up without a father but that doesn't stop him from pursuing academics and hockey. We don't really learn a lot about him throughout the book except that he had a funny incident involving a tree house as a child and a horrible break-up from his most recent girlfriend.
Bradley, Anna, and Maria - The siblings and sister-in-law. These three can't stop obsessing over the fact that they think Stella would be much happier if she would just find a man. Even when it infuriates our heroine, there's no letting up from the three of them. They mention it repeatedly throughout the various family scenes in the book. Maria is the most laughable about this point since it seems like she is single herself (if she's not, then why isn't her significant other there?), and might i add a little flighty.
Leigh - She is who I like to call the villainess of the piece and Brad's ex-girlfriend. There is nothing to like about her in the least. I applaud Ms. Wylder for writing a female that was perfectly hateable. She is snotty, arrogant, and used to getting her way. She is so pushy that I wanted Stella to just punch her in the mouth. Unfortunately we don't get that, no matter how much we want it. She ends up being responsible for the big reveal but does get some of what's coming to her. I just wish she'd been hauled away in handcuffs for forcing her way into the house.
Final thoughts:
I would recommend this book to people to read. It's a nice easy read and the sex steams are steamy. There's nothing too wild about it other than it's a bit of a cougar situation, which let's get real happens all the time. Take a chance on the book and enjoy yourself.

Stella, a woman of a certain age somewhat stifled by expectations cannot control her thoughts of sexual attraction to her son's friend. Now her son, no matter his age, will always be her little boy. His friend, Trevor, as he is so deliciously described, is all man. Not only that, but also he is a man on a mission to prove to Stella that the sexual attraction is mutual. Stella's fantasies of Trevor become reality as he sets about proving to her that he is all man blessed where it counts with skills. Oh...make that stamina and skills.

I got this as a ARC and let me tell you guys something it was amazing. Stella is excited to see her son again, but when she sees he's brought along Trevor she cant help but think of Trevor even if its wrong. In this book Stella one hundred percent deserves to have a guy love and take care of her. She raised a son by herself and cant help get angry that her family is too much into pushing her to date again which causes memories from her past relationship to invade her toughts. This book gives you a quick off limits romance and is 100% worth the read.

I really enjoyed the story. It brought more to it than I thought it was going to. I loved all the little Touches under the table and glances and stolen kisses. That sort of buildup adds to the hotness of the book. The bonus epilogue was really good. I love age gaps whether it's older man younger woman or older woman younger man. I like that despite the age Gap, the progression of their attraction wasn't jumped in over the top. I highly recommend this read.

I knew Penny Wylder was not going to disappoint me.. This book was hot. I loved how it was the older hot lady getting the young man.. In this case it was her son's best friend and oh Trevor was had his eye on stella.

Short, sweet and hot. Actually scorching hot. But what really got me was how reasonable the characters all were. Not reasonable in "this can't be real" way but in "lets not overreact" kind of way.

DNF. not enough story to make me feel anything but yucky and uncomfortable when he starts to hit on her. Not particularly well written prose. No character development. Just did not enjoy.

Penny's books are always full of hot & steamy moments. This one is included in that! I would understand why some might not the subject matter, but I tried to look past that and look at the story. You find love where you find it and that is totally cool. We all deserve love no matter what. People never have a problem with men dating younger girls/lady, why not an older lady dating a younger boy/men. I will say it was a bit of a predictable story, but not saying that was not good. Just easy to figure the ending? Fiddler on the Roof references, YOU got me there, love that movie!! Must read, Penny did it again ... her writing rocks!! I think if you can move past the not the norm kind of story you will be happy or cool to see it's a great read. ( :

This book is so much more than you can imagine!! You have a single mom, Stella, who has raised her son on her own to be a great young man but she has never done anything for herself. Stella's main goal was her son and to make sure he had a good life. When her son's best friend decides des to tag along for the holiday break sparks fly!! Trevor has had a crush on Stella for a while but never acted on it and Stella thinks the age difference is too great. Trevor is going to prove to her that age is just a number and he won't take no for an answer! Extremely Hot Chemistry between these two that will leaving you simmering for hours!!
