Kept me intrigued

I will start by saying this book may not be for everyone. Ms. McPhee uses a very interesting writing style. Many, many characters are introduced and it may seem that the story "jumps around". However, it is in chronological order; but tells each characters story. Very interesting how they all end up being intertwined, but can get a little confusing. I enjoyed it tho. Dont often continue with a series of books, but I got so engrossed in some of the characters and just have to know more! Ordering the next book in series right now!

Fun , romance and mystery

This popped up on my Bookbub account and being a senior myself I decided it was perfect reading for me . It's an easy read somewhat predictable and yet not really , so in other words you really should read it for yourself and see what you think. I will definitely be reading the sequel so I can find out how all these people I've met continue with their lives .

Left you hanging

All books leave you with questions, but this one gets everyone in the book to the place you want them to be, and just ends with nothing taken to conclusion. Like a tv cliffhanger. A cheap trick to get you to buy the next one and probably another.

I received this book via Voracious Readers and have been asked to give an honest review. I initially found it difficult to get into this book and keeping track of the characters was hard too, because the list of characters was hard to turn back to easily as I read using the Kobo app. However, once I got into the story, I got more interested and was reluctant to put it down. The only real surprise and disappointment was that the end of the book came very suddenly. I knew I must be near the end, but it was still a bit unexpected. I feel that all the ends of the story weren't tied up as they might have been. But generally a good read that I'd recommend to older people.

A baby boomer romance series set in Palm Lakes, a retirement community. There is so much back and forth between characters, you can get easily lost and have to go back to the cast of characters to to see who is related. I was not really impressed at the start, but the plot line was still good, though disjointed. I don't really consider it a romance, it has multiple romances going on along with failing health and crumbling marriages. The most exciting part is that a resident at Palm Lakes is a serial killer. It is more a novel about small town living than any romance I have ever read.

Renaissance of what?

I liked the first half but totally lost interest in the last half. The characters kind of blended with the same problems. Sad to me because I really wanted to like it all.

Cute, predictable, stilted dialogue but still leaves me wanting to read the sequel.
