Success with IEPs explores and goes deep inside the five common challenges teachers may have implementing IEPs in the classroom. In only 50-55 pages, the challenges were outlined and discussed in terms that everyone can understand and relate too. This author used real-life examples, online sources and charts to reach each type of teacher! Reading this book not only made me feel more prepared for handling IEPs but outlined and helped me better understand the common mistakes teachers make in the classroom. This book is a must-read for all types of teachers and educators in the world!

This is a short read. It's clear and has a lot of helpful hints for general educators who do not have a strong background in special education content and processes. As a special educator myself, it was a little more basic than what I was looking for.

I really appreciated the summary sheets provided in the epilogue.

I highly recommend this book to educators, teacher candidates and anyone else who is involved in the implementation of IEPs! In just 50 pages, Vicki Caruana outlines 5 ways to solve common challenges associated with IEPs. As educators, we are always busy so this book allows us the opportunity to gain new insights without spending too much time reading a lengthy book. Caruana gets right to the point and uses personal examples to exemplify what she is saying. She also includes advice, charts, and online resources that are beneficial to educators. IEPs can often present many challenges to teachers, but as Vicki Caruana says, "Confidence is built on the foundation of competence" and this book will make any teacher feel more confident!

Success with IEPS: Solving Five Common Implementation Challenges in the Classroom is a quick read full of extensive details. This book is appropriate for teachers, parents, students, and pre-service teachers. By exploring the common mistakes and challenges that arise while writing an effective IEP, Vicki Caruana gives readers an upfront and personal way to solve and overcome these mistakes and challenges. I learned an extensive amount of information and tips and gained an immense amount of resources. The information given in this book is the same amount of information learned in a 16 week course exploring the use and implementation of IEPs.

This book changed the way I will implement IEPs! This book is perfect for the busy teacher as it is under 50 pages. In those pages Dr. Vicki Caruana addresses the 5 most common challenges to implementing IEPs in the classroom. Thought the book there are helpful links, charts, activities, and advice. This book was both easy to understand if you are a novice with IEPs and also well detailed to be beneficial to seasoned teachers. Let's face it, all teachers can always improve; so let this book help you be a better teacher for your students with IEPs and a better colleague to those on the IEP team with you.
