“I think about you, Graves… And I’ve got a great imagination.

Bodyguard Mitchell Graves finds himself assigned to protect James Russo, a billionaire senator's son and mayoral hopeful. A scandal binds them together. Their passion forges them.

Sophisticated and confident, Russo's unconventional tastes—from his hidden tattoos to his penchant for on-the-job sex —set Graves up for the wildest ride of his short life.

The heat of the campaign trail and their relationship ratchets up when Graves saves Russo from a madman's attempt on his life. And even as Graves learns to appreciate the older man's experience and insatiable appetites, the two begin to feel something for each other that could prove more dangerous than a little office sex.

Graves must learn to let his inhibitions go as he gives in to Russo's desires, even when the billionaire wants to share him with another man.

Erotica, but sweet. Very hot. Feels fresh, not formulaic.
I so much hope this author returns to publishing; she's so good, and I don't think she's received the recognition she deserves.

Wow! I was gobsmacked by the awesomeness of this book. I enjoy Kay Simone's novels. They are typically wonderful emotion-laden sagas accompanied with lots of sexy bits. I immediately connect with her MCs and invested in their story. This book, which is a compilation of 3 short novellas, is a lot more "jizzy" than some of her others LOL. Only book 3 is MMM. Mitchell is a cop acting as a bodyguard to a billionaire running for mayor. There's an attraction there but they are slow to act on it. A major event tips things over and WOW, you can see the tenderness, adoration that slowly develops between them. And the addition of Marek - dayuuum! The writing is a combination of emotion and porn-soaked pleasure "Graves and Russo both moan softly in disappointment, remaining still — and Marek realizes it must be torture for both of them, making them sit there half-fucked while he fumbles." "Russo's weight shifts behind him on the bed, and the man stoops to kiss the skin at the small of his back—and then to kiss both dimples on the backs of Mitchell's hips, the cleft of his ass." Such a good book. And yippee, yippee, yippee, there is a bonus story available on her web site that highlights what happens between books 1 and 2!

I don't read a lot of PWPs nowadays, mainly because they're not very interesting if I'm not invested in the characters. The first story in this collection was intriguing, and Simone did an excellent job of making me immediately sympathetic to Mitchell, but the second didn't feel like it covered new emotional/character ground, and the third had way too many POVs in too short a space of time; the characters might as well have been action figures moving from plastic pose to plastic pose. It's tough to write a good threesome, and this one just missed the mark for me.

I love Kay’s writing style. I would love to give it 5 stars. Unfortunately yet again it doesn’t feel finished. I felt this in The Aftermath. This storyline needs more indepth character building, more of James and Mitchel’s growing feelings, and last but not least a satisfying HEA. I will read another of Kay’s books. Which will hopefully give a HEA that completes the story. I hate feeling left in limbo. I’ll probably give myself a break though, with the next book having a definite HEA. What surprises me is that in the reviews I have read no one seems to mention the lack a conclusion or HEA.

Hard Stop

Solid story. It's not really 3 stories as I understood by the title, it's more like one story told in 3 different but continuous parts. All good with a sort of HFN finale to them... nowhere close to a HEA, not yet... but on the way by hot AF moments. Yummy!

I'll keep reading 📖

**Voluntary review given for free ARC
3.5 stars.
I wavered between 2 and 4 stars throughout this story. The writing at first seemed a bit scattered, with the characters inner dialogue going off on tangents, but it reigned itself in.

I honestly struggled for the first 10% of this with the characters. I really didn't like them. It's always hard for me to connect when you're put in the middle of a story where the characters have already met or have a history, and for me, in the beginning these 2 men were hard to love.

At first, James Russo appears to be an entitled billionaire. He drinks a lot and has copious amounts of dirty sex in his office with his bodyguard outside the door listening. Basically, I thought he was gross and I just didn't understand why he would even care about being mayor.

Mitchell Graves is the bodyguard. He's been guarding James for 3 months and from his POV there's a lot of 'telling' about their, so far, platonic working relationship. He's a young cop who's attracted to James and knows about his proclivities. (And doesn't care because his hidden attraction overrides all.)

If you read this for the sex, fair enough, most of it's hot. But in terms of character development, we really only see a few moments of their relationship event though the book spans around half a year.

But once you get past the shaky start, it gets good. I began to like the characters. Saw their tender sides. Saw how their relationship actually worked for them. I understood them more. I got invested.

It wasn't until Part 3 that I truly saw this as a romance and weirdly it happened during James and Mitchell's threesome. Here I saw tenderness, concern, happiness and love between the two men. The last part of the book was actually told from Marek's (the third in the theeesome) POV and it made the book end on a pretty sweet note. Seeing the 2 MC through his eyes was very revealing and gave me the insight that I strangely didn't get from the 2 men themselves.

**If you sign up for the authors newsletter you get a special short story about the morning after James and Mitchell first sleep together. It was really sweet and lovely and gave a great insight into James' feelings about Mitchell. I wish it was in the book because it gave me that little extra I needed.

*I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.*

I'm pretty happy and surprised by how much I really liked this book. I don't mean it in a bad way surprised but, surprised because I was expecting more or less, a book filled with pure smut, and though there are plenty of steamy scenes and not a whole lot of character development, what we did see was sweet and so very welcome.

There are three parts to this book. In the first part, we see how platonic the relationship is and how although he is attracted to his boss--James--Mitchell doesn't want to give into temptation for even a second and decides to let James play his flirty games. He'll just brush it off and do his duty. He doesn't want to become just another conquest that James is always parading around the office.
In the second half, James and Mitchell have come together quite nicely. Both are starting to explore the attraction between them. Although he wanted to refuse James' advances, Mitchell couldn't keep denying that he wanted James just as badly.
In part three, James and Mitchell are really fitting in all the pieces of their lives together. After a rather frightening event, their bond, their growing relationship really strengthens. Enough so, that James and Mitchell agree to make some fantasies come to fruition. It is in this last part that we truly see just how much they both mean to each other even if they aren't exactly fully aware of it themselves.
It ends on a rather cute note from the POV of their third. It may have been a one night thing, but it gave James and Mitchell the push they needed to fully embrace their relationship.
So cute! I really recommend it if you like the sound of it. Do pick it up!

3.5 Stars so rounding up to 4

This is a really quick read – 3 parts each about 40 pages. It is really HOT! They are off the charts sexy together. There is a little romance toward the end of the story but it does leave you wanting more. What happens next with James and Mitchell? Will there be more or are we to leave it up to our imagination?

The beginning was a bit hard to follow…there were a couple of “off camera”, in the head type scenes between scenes that were confusing but those eventually went away. After that, the writing was pretty good and flowed well. The changing of points of view was a bit confusing in the 3rd part. It seemed to all be in Mitchell's point of view until then; at that point we were briefly inside all 3 characters' heads.

Because this is a pretty short story, we never really learn too much about either character. We get hints but nothing tangible. I didn’t really like James at first but I came around. I’m not sure what to make of William as we just get a glimpse of him.

I typically won’t read serials but if there is more of these guys I’d definitely read it!

Wow! Be sure to have fresh batteries and a fan turned on when reading this ;) This book was definitely different than what I'm used to. I don't mean graphic sex/erotica, I mean the way it was told. It honestly took a little while to get used to. It was more of a present tense narration, like watching a play perhaps? And that was a first for me and so I needed a few pages to adjust. But once Mitchell and Russo got things going and then later Marek too, I actually really appreciated the way the story was told. I think it made their scenes even hotter somehow. It still kind of made the non sexy-time scenes a bit different, but only I think, because I'm not used to that. And again, the sexy times were just fantastic so I'm not complaining at all. Once I got into it I really enjoyed this whole story, or these three stories I suppose. I definitely recommend if you're looking for a hot steamy read. I will most definitely be reading this one again myself. This was a new to me author and I volunteered to leave an honest review in exchange for an advanced readers copy. I'm glad I did because I'll absolutely be checking out more by this author!

WOW!!! This is SEX personified! It will call to your body as nothing ever has...leaving you on the edge of your own sexual fantasies. HOT, sex-filled, and extremely gratifying. As the possibly
Next mayor of the city, James Russo, begins his election Mitchell Graves, a seargeant in the SO from the narco division, has been brought in as Russo's bodyguard. Russo has two weaknesses, drinking and sex. He loves them both. Mitchell is very aware of Russo's vices as his own body wants to respond... Russo wants Mitchell badly and Mitchell finds deep down he wants Russo too. As time goes on they succumb to their desires and take you on an amazing journey between themselves and eventually the commissioner. Come join their Hot, sexual encounters that are explicit in detail. It will call to you.... Highly recommend this experience. Kay Simone has done a brilliant job of homing in on our own sexual senses, giving us something that we all yearn for. Don't miss it.., LOVED this story as these two men really find each other and connect❤️

Quite different than I've expected from Simone

These three interconnected stories are quite radically different than any of Kay Simone's other novels and I'm still not sure how I feel about that.

On the one hand, they are seriously erotic, quite a turn on with their hot sex scenes, but on the other, there's something lacking as they're a short story which doesn't really have a place to go.

Simone's also usually supremely talented at how she uses language to depict emotions and to build up a story and situation and that didn't really happen here. She's one of my favourite wordsmiths usually I didn't feel it with this one.

I will say though that it continues in the pleasurable streak of this author turning out stories with unique premises that never feel like a recycled part of her previous work and this is no exception.

I'd like to see a full on story with a proper plot for these guys, I'd love to find out more.

I need more stories!

From the way this book is written, I'm guessing Kay Decker writes the stories that are more erotica than those written as Kay Simone. This was equally well-written, as far as skill and technique but was not plot driven. There was a little plot and an action sequence. Yet it still has a slow burn factor and has some great UST for a while. It's also not strung-together sex scenes. The characters have emotion and some complexity. There are actually only two full sex scenes, in book 2 and book 3. One is Mitchell and Russo's first time together and one is a threesome. Well worth waiting for! Not a long wait, as these are three novella-length stories packaged together. My only objection is that the last story seems to promise more to come and doesn't even qualify as an HFN, in my opinion. I'm hoping this series is to be continued.

Strictly For the ...

We have no idea how old James Russo is, or what he really looks like, or how big he is, but he is bigger than Mitchell Graves--though we don't know that until the second part, sort of. All we know is that Russo is a spoiled politician, Graves is on loan from the city's police department to guard him, and Russo's psychotic (but efficient) campaign manager is just over-the-top.

There is no plot to speak of except for us to wonder when these two will get together. They don't, and they do, and they don't, and they do, and they don't and do again. This is four stars only for the sex. The characters are limpid (well, I really liked poor Mitchell, but he turned out to be wimpy in a way). No drama.

If your looking for erotic this here is your book. "Hard Stop" is a lust filled sex driven story. Innocent cop Mitchell is taken on a wild ride by politician James Russo. I enjoyed this story quite a bit. The only thing I didnt like about the book was the ending. We're left not knowing the status of Mitchell and James relationship, are they a couple or is it just sex. We also never find out if James wins the election. I guess these things aren't needed but it would have made it a more complete story in my opinion, 3.8 stars. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

For my first time reading this author I really like the way she set up the ménage.

Mitchell submissive traits ticked all of James boxes but from the blurb you wouldn't know that was the sub plot. I loved the way she wrote James's dialogue. The hint of alpha male but a little mischievous.

The lite aspects of BDSM were well written. The threesome was hot as hell also. I hope she writes something else with them together. But how would that look for the new mayor, to be in a threesome? One can wonder.
