Time stands still. Lies were told. Secrets are revealed. Who will we be when the walls tumble like mortar?
**WARNING** The Adair Empire is a dark and graphic romance that will push your buttons, and maybe your boundaries. Each book contains a new couple but ends with a plot cliff-hanger. While Atticus can be read as a stand-alone within the series, it is suggested you start from the beginning.
Krystal writes as USA Today Bestselling Author KL Donn. Born and raised in Alberta, Canada, she has over 50 published books in differing romance genres. She enjoys making her readers cry as they go on a deep journey of love and loss through each book.
Experiencing her own insta-love at 17, Krystal has been with her husband for 18 years and they share 4 beautiful children together.
Fun facts about KL: Perpetual romantic. Coffee addict. Sarcasm lover. Give her an action flick over a romance. But a romance book over action. She’s weird like that. Did she mention coffee addict? Closet shopaholic. Beach lover. Coffee addict, it bears repeating. Again. Husband obsessed. Hers that is, you can keep yours. Mom of 6, well 7 if you count the husband. Oh and 2 of those are a cat & dog, that are confused about their species.
This series is definitely one of my most favorite series I have read yet. I have been absolutely hooked and they just get better and better. With each one I am eager to get the next in the series and the anticipation just makes it all the better. KL Donn has really outdone herself with this series. The emotions this story brought out had me riding an all time crazy roller coaster. The men in the Adair Empire are dark, dangerous and twisted and it takes a special strong someone to be able to be with one and Catalina is just that. The women are sweet and caring but cross someone they care about and watch out.
This is a must read series and I highly recommend it!
Atticus is the 4th book in the Adair Empire series by KL Donn. This is Atticus Kincaid and Catalina McCray’s story. This read immediately was red-hot and sizzling right from the start. Book 4 is angsty, raw, gritty, dark and so delicious with tension, that I found this to be one of my favorite stories in this series and for me, it was hard to say that. I loved each book in the series but Atticus and Cat really had me on the edge with their love story. Atticus and Catalina’s chemistry is steamy hot and sizzling. Atticus is all dark and dangerous; he is not one to apologize for how and who he is. That is until Catalina came into his life. She is sweetness and light. Immediately he recognizes her as his light. But can Atticus keep his Catalina safe? She has a sick stalker after her who wants to take her and do harm . Can Atticus keep her safe? What I loved was the intense heat and chemistry between the main characters. Catalina is alittle different from the other heroines but that doesn’t make her less of a heroine. She is sassy, sweet, shy and innocent young woman while Atticus is dangerous, dark, and is definitely a possessive/ protective Alpha male. These two together are one powerful force. I don’t know how to explain this story but it is powerful, raw, gritty, violent, angsty, dark, full of FEELS, passionate, dramatic, edge of your seat action, suspenseful, and romance . This is one of those stories that stays with you long after its over and you crave more in the series. I already know I am looking forward to Carver’s story. Ms. Donn has a way of writing stories that make the characters come across as relatable and likeable. You think of the characters as real people. That is a true gift, and if you love stories like that along with a fabulous plot, then this is a MUST READ!!!!
My Rating: 4.8 stars ***** “I received an advanced copy of this book from the author at no cost to me."
I've been waiting for Atticus to come out since reading the last pages of Castiel's story and I wanted to see how Atticus and Catalina's story would be like and K.L. Donn did not disappoint at all :)
I loved the flow of the story, loved that we got to see the couples from the previous books and see some of what's going on in their lives... I got to admit there's a scene or okay, a couple, where I shed a tear (or more than one) but I got through it, finally content that I got to read this anticipated story :)
Now, guys, Atticus's story is sort of less dark than the last previous three but it's still dark, so for you guys that have trouble with triggers, this does have violence action, and can cause possible triggers, but not extreme, so if you take a chance (and you won't regret it if you do), always proceed with caution...
Atticus's story is more hardcore and sexily rugged, at least for me, and I know that the instant connection that occurs between Catalina and Atticus seems surreal for some of you guys, but it does happen when its meant to be and it was meant to be for those two; they were meant for each other and were each other's equal in every way <3 ;)
Overall, I liked that we got to see more of Atticus and Catalina's progression into their relationship and how very compatible they were to each other certain needs, especially the intimate scenes ;)
I can't wait to read Carver's story! It's going to be sexy as hell and very dark at the same time, going by that cliffhanger we get in the end of the book was anything to go by and I can't wait!:)
Atticus is the 4th book in this series and it’s a character I’ve been waiting for. To be completely honest I’ve probably waited anxiously for every book in this series because I’m loving KL Donn’s dark side. From the beginning you see that Atticus is going to be EVERYTHING you’d hoped for. He is ruthless, set in his ways, and deliciously unapologetic. I’m probably biased but he could do no wrong in my book. However, Catalina’s character will surprise you. At first, she’s a quiet and sweet heroine, but then with Atticus you see a yearning and streak of darkness and she evolves beautifully. Somehow they fit and you’re left wanting more. I loved this.
I looked forward to this book and it doesn't disappoint. Like the others Atticus is dark and doesn't apologize for it. Until Catalina came along ! She's his heaven. But will Atticus be able to defend her from the sociopath wanting to take her. K.L. Don n is relatively new to me;however, she has me hooked and can't wait for more of her work. Beautifully written !
With every book in the series I find a new favorite, but Atticus is it. He's possessive, dominant and powerful. He guides Catalina and loves her completely. Such an awesome story and couple.
Great read. Sizzle starts right off and keeps going. I love how this series heroines all have different backgrounds and stories - you never know what you are going to get. Cat is a little stronger than the others but her relationship with Atticus is far more grittier. I wouldn’t say it is as dark as the others in the series but definitely the most hardcore and rugged but you still have that darkness and danger! I don’t know how else to describe it. Love the over-arching storyline and you can really see the relationship between these two as they have a lot of interaction with each other from the start without a lot of outside opinions. Setting is described to a T on this and it really helps bring the reader right there with them. Absolutely a strong recommend. Grab a glass of wine and enjoy!
"Catalina is like a drug I've never ingested but can't wait to get addicted to. She's everything I'm not and all I want. She's light and I'm dark. She's virtue and I'm death."
Catalina and Atticus were a short, hot, and explosive story that I couldn't put down. It was an intense and heart-pounding ride and I poured through the pages like a fiend, as I have with each installment of this series so far!! The excitement was palpable, the couple was searingly hot, and it made me want more, more, more!! I thank the Author for providing a copy to review!!
"A firm hand. An unshakable, immediate bond. Atticus. He's everything I've never understood that I've wanted, yet exactly what my soul has been waiting for."
Atticus has been sent to Alaska to both protect Catalina, their enemy’s sister, and to stop Thomas once and for all. He never expected to feel the intense need to claim Catalina, his little lamb, as his own.
Since her mother passed away when she was nine Catalina has been alone except for people in town who keep an eye on her. She knows that Atticus has been watching her, but she doesn’t know the havoc his presence will bring to her life.
They couldn’t be more different but her alpha protector is enough to make you swoon as he will do anything to claim and protect her while Catalina may appear meek and kind hearted her inner warrior erupts when those she cares about are threatened. I am loving this series and can’t wait for Carver’s story. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
🖤It’s more than love. It’s us. Him and I. Atticus and Catalina. Light and dark. Heaven and hell.
🖤This is the 4 book in the Adair Empire and my favorite dark series. Catalina McCray is light and sweet. But she is also strong. They are complete opposites but they’re perfect together. Atticus Kincaid is dark and dangerous. A killer. He was sent to Alaska to watch the sister of a dangerous enemy and really didn’t Thanks plan on claiming her as his. His lamb. Their chemistry was of the charts and the sex was hot!!
🖤Very suspenseful and gritty, but oh so good. Love that the men in this series are dark, dangerous killers, but when they fall for their women, they love them with everything that they have. And the women are sweet and light, but strong. They’ll stand and fight besides their men. KL Donn scored big with this series. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ “little lamb” stars!!
This is the fourth book in the Adair Empire series by K.L. Donn. Atticus Kincaid is one of King Adair’s most trusted men, he even took a bullet trying to protect the queen (Lilith). He’s sent to Alaska to watch Catalina McCray, their biggest enemy’s sister. Cat has no clue her mother was married to a monster and that they had two evil sons. When her mom found out she was pregnant she fled Scotland and settled in Alaska to raise her daughter far away from the McCray men. Her mom died ten years ago when their house burned down when Cat was only nine years old. It was ruled an arson but the case was never solved. Cat is well aware of the handsome stranger who has been watching her and even though she should probably be scared she’s not. Cat likes certain things that she keeps secret because the one time she tried to tell a guy he was disgusted and she doesn’t want to be hurt. Atticus is just the man to give Catalina what she wants and have her begging for more. I’m very curious about Daniel and Dimitri and I’m hoping they get a story but Carver is my man and I cannot wait to read about him and Meadow and his badass knife.
Words.....I need words.... Is there any way I can rate this book higher than 5 stars? No? Okay...new rating system. I rate this book....prodigious....yeah, that will work. (I may or may not have had to look that word up)
This whole series is so dark. Not usually my "go to" with romance because I'm all about that romance. But, KL makes it work. She brings dark, but she somehow makes it sound incredibly sweet. In a romantically demented kind of way. It's.... simply put....an amazing series. Even if you don't usually go to the dark side. 😉
Atticus is your typical possessive and protective Alpha male. I love his character. He's dark and dangerous yet oh so sweet and gentle.
Catalina... Okay, I have to mention that I love these names. Atticus and Catalina. Love them. Cat was awesome. While she kept to herself most of the time she was insanely courageous if she needed to be.
Holy Mother of God these men are just to fucking amazing. I think Atticus could be my Favourite but I also am so Gone Carver. This book Atticus meets his Lamb. She is a real dragon tamer. Watching him fall and let emotions show was beautiful. I have to say I adored East and West her Dogs. Atticus is also as Kinky as Catalina. They are smoking hot and passionate.
But Holy Fucking Shit That Ending I need Carver's book Now!!!!
Let me paint you a little picture here. Imagine you’re going through life reading books that are not about the Adair Empire. Life is peaches and cream, you have your basic book boyfriends and everything is rainbows and unicorns. Then, one day, you realize, you really like the color black. You actually hate unicorns and basic boys just aren’t cutting it anymore. Tear.
Have no fear! KL Donn is here! She has 4 absolutely STELLAR books to open your book boyfriend world to the twisted, black hearts of King and his men. I have reviewed the first 3 books in this series – King, Luther and Castiel. And yes, each book I have absolutely DEVOURED as well as been scared for my life when my husband had the nerve to sneeze while I was reading one particularly graphic scene. But whatevs. Atticus is here and I’ve got a review to get to.
Story Line: Atticus is on Mission Alaska. No, it’s not really called that but that’s what I’m calling it and I like it. His mission is to keep Catalina alive. He lurks and stays in the shadows so that she doesn’t know he’s there. But these two are very aware of the other’s presence and that is just the tip of the sexy Alaskan iceberg. Catalina not only notices him, but desires him just as much as he desires her. They officially meet when she man woman hater (Little Rascals reference in case you think I’m a weirdo and just made that up) decides to shop wood to prepare for the upcoming snow storm. Obviously alpha male Atticus cannot allow his woman to chop her own wood. And from that point forward these two know there is no separating them. Obviously, since this is KL Donn after all, it’s not all rainbows and kittens from here. However, I will say I LOVE Catalina’s dogs names – East and West. I LOVE how loyal they are to her. And let’s not forget the adorable two kittens she just rescued. Okay, let’s face it. Catalina is me. Therefore Atticus is mine.
Interaction: Catalina is the perfect blend of sweet and spicy. She’s like General TSO’s chicken from China Chef. There’s hints of sweet but certain bites are going to burn your mouth. Totally defines Cat. And, true to any Adair Empire member, Atticus just eats that up. These two communicate with their words, their actions, their bodies and damn near their minds too. They are on the same level nearly from the moment their eyes met.
Laundry: Catalina is a proud V-card holder. Until Atticus. Obviously. But she held out for different reasons. She has specific cravings that only one man can fulfill. I won’t give away what her desire is but I will say this. This is the first book I’ve ever read about this type of kink and I was a little skeptical. But hot damn, not anymore. It was smoking hot and if I wasn’t a huge wussy baby, I would totally try some things out to see what got her all worked up. I’m just saying.
Depth: The whole Adair Empire is a sinkhole of depth. There is no bottom to the twisted stuff these men will do to keep their women safe. I will say Atticus was probably the most “tame” of the 4 in the series so far. I think my hubby would have been safe to bang pots and pans while I was reading it and I would NOT have jumped out of my skin. However, there’s still darkness. There’s still twists and turns. The gore factor is just slightly dialed down. But it worked for these two characters. It wasn’t needed for their relationship or their stories. It was perfect.
And of course, at the very end, we are left legit BEGGING for more. Carver is up next and I may throat punch anyone who tries claiming him as theirs. The darkest and twisted of them all is up next. And he is MINE!
Five devious stars! Have no doubt that this book will give you light and darkness at the same time.
Atticus by K.L. Donn is the kind of book that will make you feel everything and more. It has soft dark touches that will make you want more. It is like the strongest drug you can't wait to get addicted to. It is crazy, isn't it? This book differs from the others in a sinful and sweet way. It is dark and light. It is rough and smooth. It has strong characters plus a wild and steamy story.
The pacing is fast. This is the kind of book that you will devour in one sitting because each page had the power to drawn you deep into the story. Atticus is perfection in a small package with an enormous amount of passion and possessiveness. The plot is impressive, original and well developed.
This is the forth book in the Adair Empire Series and I could say that this is the lightest one in the series. The other books in the series were darkish with capital letters however Atticus is two shades lighter. This is Atticus Kincaid and Catalina McCray’s story: the bad wolf and the lamb. Their story is angsty, plucky and deliciously twisting. The chemistry between them is stunningly hot and sizzling.
Atticus is dangerous, menacing and sinfully hot. Also he is loyal and strongly possessive with what belongs to him (just like King, Luther & Castiel). However his possessiveness and darkness make him extremely intense. His loyalty is with the people he cares about. He is a predator, a wolf ready to destroy his enemy. Looking after his enemy’s sister would make him crave her with all his being. From the first sight Catalina belonged to him. Who would think that a predator like him would’ve fallen for a little lamb?
Catalina is the opposite of Atticus. She is light, virtue and sweetness although her soul craves something forbidden and dark. She lusts for dominance and possession. She has the looks of the girl next door but she is not plenty innocent. The things she wants will be given by a stranger, a fallen angel that will corrupt her in all the twisted and devious ways she dreamed of. Atticus will consume her soul, he will eat her whole and she will enjoy all of it. With him she is whole. Will the lamb be strong enough to hold back its forbidden desires?
Have no doubt that this book will give you heaven and hell at the same time. The Adair Empire is changing. The heroes are dark knights, fallen angels and their women will empower them to do greater things. They only bowed to their women and they will protect them to any cost. They are capable to burn hell for them. Will you dare to read one of the most addictive and dark series?
Atticus Kincaid, one of King Adair’s top men has been sent to Alaska to watch their enemies sister. They know she is innocent of his crimes, but they also know that Thomas McCray plans on destroying her. Atticus just needs to sit and wait for him to appear to extract their revenge. But, he didn’t plan in Catalina McCray being his.
Catalina McCray has been on her own in a small town in the Alaskan wilderness since her mother died when she was 9 years old. She knows nothing about the McCray’s or what they’ve done and she certainly never expects Thomas to be after her. She knows there is a stranger in town who seems to be watching her, but when he shows up at her cabin she feels an instant connection to him. She knows he can offer her what she’s always felt was missing in her life.
They are complete opposites in every way. He is dark and a killer. She is light and innocence. Yet, their draw to one another is unmistakable. Thomas McCray is still in the hunt for revenge, however, and Atticus knows he has to get Catalina off of her mountain during a winter storm to protect her from his madness. Will help arrive in time to help Atticus and Cat escape a madman or will McCray finally extract his revenge on the Adait empire?
I really don’t know how KL Donn has immersed herself so perfectly in the dark world of the Adait Empire! While each of these men are ruthless killers, they know when they have met their destiny instantly and will do anything to keep their mates safe. Atticus is no different. And, the combination of innocence and dark needs he finds in Cat completely soothes his soul.
Watching this couple come together is completely decadent. Catalina is so pure and innocent to the type of word that Atticus lives in that it’s hard to imagine they can work as a couple, yet they are perfect for one another.
This pace of this book moves quickly and will keep readers on the edge of their seats. The cat and mouse between Atticus and McCray is thrilling. And, while she may be innocent, don’t count Cat out, as she knows Alaska better than anyone else involved. We are also teased with some glimpses of what’s to come with Daniel and Dimitri as well as Carver, and I can’t wait for this series to continue, now more than ever.
Atticus was a phenomenal additional to the Adair Empire! 5 stars!
This is book four in the Adair Empire and focuses on Atticus Kincaid who is everything I wanted and so much more and Catalina McCray. Atticus has to go to Alaska to discover more about Catalina the supposed sister to the Adair's enemy Thomas McCray. When he gets there he is expecting to find answers about Catalina and their enemy McCray he was not expecting the instant and powerful attraction and desperate need to possess her in every way to grip him like it does and it is a thing of beauty as it happens. Catalina and Atticus have an instant spark a chemistry that is instant and undeniable and it is everything. They embrace each others light and dark and together find they balance each other perfectly it's so enjoyable to read as it unfolds. I loved seeing the characters from previous stories still involved in the plot and part of the story along with learning more about the storyline that is not purely coupled base but runs through each book. I suggest that you read the books in this outstanding series in order to fully follow and appreciate the characters, their relationships and the thread that runs through them all and unfolds further with each gripping instalment. Happy Reading. Please note that I was given an arc of this book for my honest review which is exactly what I have given. 5 out of 5 Stars
Atticus is Book 4 of the Adair Empire series by the talented KL Donn. I don't quite know how she does it but Krystal out does herself with each new entry into this series. Each character reveals a more complex side of the empire and how far they are willing to go for their own. This book works with some pretty dark themes and the way they were handled was absolutely breathtaking! It allowed for Atticus and Catalina to become their own individual persons and embrace who they were without judgement. I think that was my favorite part of this story. What also really blew me away with this story was it was sexy but it was also loving. Atticus is NOT your average man. And compared to the other men in the Empire that's saying something lol. But his little lamb embraced him and she thrived off of his raw need for her. He understood what Catalina desired from him and Atticus did not at any point judge her and for that I loved him! Through all of their trials and tribulations their love won out and this was one happily ever after I was so very happy to see.
AND GUESS WHAT?! This book comes with a sneak peek at book number 5 of the Adair Empire series Carver!! I am so ready for him!!
You can find Atticus on iBooks, Nook, Amazon, and other places ebooks are sold!
OMG, I am loving this series. Although each book is based on a different couple, I still suggest reading the first three books in the Adair Empire series. They will give you insight on what is happening and background for the other characters in the book. Atticus is a rough and tumble kind of guy and he likes being in on the action. So when he is tasked with keeping an eye on Catalina in Alaska, he is not too happy. Then he sees her and has to fight himself to stay hidden and watch from a distance, especially since all he wants to do is lay claim to her. Catalina is unaware of the danger that is coming for her, but she has noticed the handsome stranger watching her every once in a while. Grab this emotionally gripping book today to find out if Atticus will be able to protect Catalina from the danger she is in. Will Catalina have feelings for him they way Atticus has feelings for Catalina? So much action, intrigue, sexy scenes and scary situations happening throughout this book you will not be able to put it down until you reach the end. Excellent story and definitely a must read. I am looking forward to the next book in this series which will feature Carver and Meadow.
Books are our one great escape. A chance to disappear into someone else’s life for just a little while. I love that we have awesome authors like KL Donn that can go to the darker side and take us on that ride.
WOW, every book in this series gets better. This one is Atticus and Catalina's story and I think it is my favorite although I thought King could not be beat, it has been.
Atticus lets Catalina know from the beginning he will do anything and everything to protect her. The chemistry between these two is sizzling from the first meeting. Atticus is so alpha and Catalina is so innocent but strong.
This book is emotionally awesome in that Atticus must tell Catalina things he would rather she not know but he must tell her in order for her to understand why she must always do what he says.
Thanks to Catalina, Thomas McCray is finally dealt with once and for all. Or is he? Without a body to identify there is no way to be sure but one can only hope.
I knew from the beginning that Atticus was gonna be darker and slightly more intense since the Adair Empire has been increasing this way with each book. The intensity has risen and the story is just as, if not more, enthralling because we have been invested in it since King.
Atticus and Catlina are a dark and light couple with a connection that is felt instantly but Cat needs a firm hand to acknowledge and surrender to it. Tommy McCray is still lurking and coming to get Cat, but Atticus isn’t letting that happen without a fight.
Isolated together in the frozen BFE, danger is lurking in the shadows while Atticus and Cat become closer threaten to combust.
K.L. Donn isn’t playing around in this dark romance and the level of intensity in her writing shows that she isn’t even close to stopping the climb. Each book in this series gets better, darker and more intense than the last... Can’t wait for Craver as he is the one I’ve been waiting for and the sneak peek at the end of Atticus definitely has me itching for more!
Atticus and Catalina, book four in the Adair Empire by far has to be my favorite. The depravity, the darkness, the feelings had me at the edge of my seat waiting for more. The writing just seems to get better and better as this series continues, congrats KL. Catalina has been on her own for awhile, she lives in Alaska where she is innocent in everything that her family, the family she didnt know she had, but they are about to bring violence to her door and with that the Adair Empire. Atticus was sent to watch Cat, see what she knows and to wait for the enemy to find her. However, he finds he is drawn to Cat and feels the need to stay to protect her. Catalina is drawn to Atticus, a feeling she has never had before, she can be herself with him and tell him all the dark things she wants and Atticus is more than happy to deliver. Insta lust/love, HEA for this couple, hot sex, the good kind of depraved sex and babies. The Adair Empire should be read in order, it is a continuing series. I am looking forward to more and cant wait for Carver to get his woman, stayed tuned for more.

Well ……. this was a spicy little read!! It was dark, raw, gritty, emotional and a whole host of other things – the list could go on and one. It absolutely kept me on the edge of my set the whole way through and I am officially in love with Atticus – not sure whether I should be but I couldn’t help myself! The chemistry between Catalina and Atticus was just immensely hot! Pretty sure if it could my kindle would have melted! I’ve not read any of the stories in this series before so I’m not sure if I have missed anything however I fully understood everything going on in this story but it did, however, make me want to go and read the rest! This was an absolutely fantastic read; it is definitely up there with some of the best books that I have read this year! I’ve not read anything by this author before so I will definitely be off to read more by them. The whole book was superbly written and I really cannot recommend it enough!!
If you have read my reviews before, you know i am a huge KL Fan, and i have been waiting for this book for a while. Let me tell you, she did not disappoint! Once again she delivers an original story with heart, love and dark twisted need. This series is unlike anything i have ever read before and my little dark heart is loving it. The masterful way she builds the worlds, adding people to it to create a unique and full world is nothing short of incredible. She has a way of bringing me to laughter through tears that nobody else has ever managed to do. Her words are phenomenal and the world she builds is intense. Each story is a standalone about the couple and closes their chapter while still building into he bigger world and getting you set up and ready for the next book. It is an intense, emotional and steamy ride that i have found myself coming back to again and again. She is quite simply as master of her craft. There is a reason she is one of the very best. Give her a try and see why people fall in love with her every single day.
This book was so good, Atticus and Catalina were so great together, it's like they were truly meant for each other 💙. I liked being in Atticus's head, we got to know more about this male and it made me respect and like him a lot more. Catalina, despite leading a sheltered life compared to the other females in this series, was still a badass in her own right and proved she could be just as deadly for her man. I adore the dogs, East and West, and enjoyed seeing Daniel (😍) and Dmitri again. Thomas is real piece of sh** and I truly hate him (good job KL for making me hate a fictional enemy lol 😄). The final scene blew my mind and I had to take a day to absorb it. If you want to know why, you should definitely buy this book 💝.
P.S. I cannot wait for Carver's book since he is my favorite Adair hands down, that is going to be so f-ing amazing, no doubt.
ATTICUS! It’s finally here!! I have been waiting for Atticus’ story since the very start of this series, and now I finally have my hands on him. He is even more swoon worthy than I could have ever anticipated. Ah, I just love him. K.L Donn just keeps knocking these books out of the park. I do not want this series to end.
Atticus and Catalina have some heat right from the start. I’m telling you, this is one sexy and steamy read. Atticus is so demanding and domineering, but good lord he is hot! I absolutely loved the epilogue to this book. I loved how Atticus really showed his emotions. He is by far my favourite of the Adair Empire men.
This book is packed full of sexiness, suspense, and emotions. You will not want to put this book down at all once you start reading! I couldn’t get enough of it. I need more! Now I wait with bated breath for the release of Carver’s story! I can’t wait!
Atticus - OMG Atticus is hot in a dark gritty way...
Atticus and Catalina - good pairing of personalities. Catalina is related to the Adair Empires greatest enemy.
Atticus "She's the sister of our worst enemy, I should want to kill her...Instead I want to F*** her" simply swoon worthy.
Atticus is dark, yes the Adair Empire is DARK, DARK, DARK but these men are gritty, but romantic in an Anti-hero kind of way.
Atticus and Catalina mesh in a way that only KL Donn can write it...these 2 should never be together, but they work. Atticus is hard and loves pain, Catalina is sweet and non-violent, opposites in every way but they work. There are no words to express how much I LOVED THIS BOOK. This entire series rocks and each anti-hero becomes my favorite by the end of the book.
Go grab your copy cause you won't be disappointed!
This book isn’t as dark as the others in this series but you definitely need to read the books that come before because this story is a continuation of the series. Atticus is a good solider in the Adair Empire. He’s tasked with keeping an eye on Catalina a innocent in their war. She’s the sister of the enemy but she’s got no idea what’s headed her way. Atticus is drawn to Catalina. She’s nothing like he was expecting and will do whatever is necessary to protect her. Kl Donn does a great job keeping the reader engaged in this series. Each book is about a new couple yet it’s a continuation of the story. Atticus is dark and Catalina is light. This couple is the perfect balance for the Adair empire. The bedroom scenes will leave you wet while panting for more. I really enjoyed this story and I’m excited to see what happens next
