"What is it you want most?
"Alvaro won't let me go without a fight. One that will have this town painted in red and smelling of metallic and gunpowder."Anahi is the daughter of a Mexican Drug Lord. She has spent her life privileged and protected from the darkness of her father's world, but one night everything changes. She is locked up, held captive, and plunged straight into the darkness. Her dreams of freedom and living in America are swept away as she faces the brutality of her stepbrother and the evil cartel army. Now forced to work as a drug dealer for the same cartel she loathes, she fears she will never escape. Until she flees and runs directly into the arms of a dangerous biker.
"My heart's sutures from the last time I opened up and loved someone can be felt being torn apart for this woman. Let's hope she doesn't run her hands through the love I bleed for her and finger paint my pain on the wall."Bull is the president of the Devil's Dust. Although he is loyal to his brothers and content with the women in his bed he is riddled with pain and guilt over the losses in his life. The only comfort he has found is at the bottom of a bottle of Jack! When Anahi runs into his arms and is quickly swept away in a van. He finds himself motivated to seek her out and save her. Anahi is so much more than Bull could ever have imagined. She is brassy and tough and makes Bull work for her affections. With the constant threat of the drug cartel looming, the drama of the MC club, the non-stop action, and smoking hot attraction between Bull and Anahi, What Might Kill Us is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat the entire read!
"In a place of abandonment and chaos I have a sense of my reality, but wiht Bull here it seems he's breaking barriers and making me feel tings I never knew could exist. It terrifies me."Told in dual POV, What Might Kill Us is gritty, raw, tender, and beautiful. Both main characters are complex and experience a complete transformation. Bull battles his grief and addiction and Anahi finds the inner strength to overcome the demons of her past. Bull is quite a unique hero and with Anahi, they become a force to be reckoned with. The dialogue flows naturally throughout the read and it is full of humor and sultry steam. The secondary characters enhanced the story greatly and only made me want to run to Amazon so that I could download the series and read it from the beginning. The plot is well constructed with attention given to every detail. Every second of the action is felt throughout each and every gruesome and beautiful moment.
