Here are the ghosts of Wyoming, the strange but true tales of unnerving sights and sounds that have never been explained. Footsteps when no one is there. Things that move that shouldn't move. Spectral bedside visitors and ghastly ghoulish sights. These stories span the state wherever ghosts ramble and roam. There are stories from Cheyenne, Sheridan, Cody, Laramie, Casper, Rawlings, Green River, and lots of places in between. So find a comfortable chair and settle in for an entertaining read about the Cowboy State's ghosts ... and is that a ghostly wail you hear or just the Wyoming wind?
Very disappointing, the stories were very generic and did not flow. And it was almost as if it wasn't edited at all, there were mistakes throughout. If someone wanted to read a really good collection of true stories and legends try Haunted Texas. Much better read.
My cousin bought a copy of this at Fort Bridger and we made our way back to the Eastern border while reading it outloud to eachother. We wound up reading about how haunted Fort Laramie was while driving through Fort Laramie at midnight. 😂😂😂 I picked this up on the used book circuit almost a year later because I thought "Might actually like to finish that...🤔" and I'm glad I did. This'll probably be part of my permanent non-fiction collection. I think the low level anxiety that comes from reading ghost stories evened out my election anxiety. So that's a thing we know now! Self medicate with MORE FEAR! :D The author had kind of a funky voice that nearly made me give it 4 stars. Munn is really good at suspense and surprise, but the way she gives important details is kind of garbled. Still! It's like being told stories from your spooky gramma while she sits up with you. Pretty great! Anyway, this book is good and deserves more hype. I will definitely be recycling these for campfires.
I was so happy to receive this book. It was a present from a dear friend who had visited the area. I had already read one book by Munn and was happy to get another. Then I started reading. The first couple sounded very familiar. Okay, a couple of repeats. Kept reading. Then I realized they were all just like the other book I had read Ghosts on the Range: Eerie True Tales of Wyoming. It had been released again under another title. That was a big disappointment. BUT that being said, I did like the stories in the book. I think my favorite is the one that involves the Exolite Corporation. This book is good for a Halloween read or whenever you want a story to send some chills up your spine.
This was an interesting collection of stories, although some of them I think were pretty much in the mind of those wanting to think it was something else. I dont believe in ghosts myself, but I enjoy a good ghost story once in a while.
