Dragon shifter Dominick Carunno couldn’t take his eyes off her from the moment he set foot in Top Scale Academy. She was completely perfect, and completely off-limits. But lightning can strike anywhere, and when passion overrules common sense, things begin to spiral out of control. That was three months ago, and she hasn’t spoken to him since. Now he finds himself in jeopardy of being expelled.

Rhynne Nova, instructor at Top Scale, is in a bind. Her parents have decided it’s time for her to marry, and have produced the perfect suitor. Unfortunately, not only is he not the dragon she secretly longs for, but he’s a pompous jerk who won’t take no for an answer. Caught between love and duty, Rhynne isn’t sure which way to turn. A sudden onset of morning sickness doesn’t make it any easier.

Can she bring herself to tell Dominick and her parents the truth, or will her fear of change prevent the two fated mates from coming together for good?

Another sweet story from Jade. This one's got a little Pride and Prejudice vibe, which went well with the characters and story. Nice to see the female protagonist in the position of Alpha. Points docked for a strange sex scene that was too 50 Shades for the feel of the overall story. Felt out of place. On to the next one!

Great Ending

Raynne and Dom's story was the best of the three for me. I did want a more complete ending...I wanted to witness it.

Dom is the Electro Dragon shifter. He is also the oldest cadet of the three being trained at the Academy. In addition, of the the friends, he is the only one unmated. Something happened several months ago between him and the female Red Dragon Academy Instructor. Since then she is cold, acting like a hardass witch and riding him ragged. Until one day, he snaps and has had all that he is willing to tolerate from her and everyone it's watching. He is a very good person and her uncalled for attitude is taking its toll on him. He normally has a submissive personality.

She has been secretly attracted to Dom, but she needs to forget him. She is a hardcore trainer who should not want a relationship with a cadet. She is extremely dominant in all things. She is expected to marry someone of her own station because of who her parents are. They sit on the High Council of Cadia. They have brought in a suitor for their daughter. He is a leader in Fenris who is rather dubious and she does not like him at all!

I really loved their story the most out of all three! Now, I want to go back and read about the other trainers.

Dom and Raynne have a lot to overcome and workout.

That's crazy!!

Garviel didn't understand that No means No. That dude was crazy thinking he could kidnap someone and get away with it. He got his. I'd what's wrong with her mom's though. I couldn't do that to my daughter no way great book.

Reviewed at Shifter Haven

Dominick and Rhynne’s story was the most heart wrenching and emotionally frustrating of this series for me. There were clues in the previous stories about the feelings between this couple, and I wasn’t a bit surprised that they had had a one night stand. What did surprise me was Rhynne. She is so brave, strong and determined to have achieved her Guardian status and an instructor at the Top Scale Academy at her age. Yet she cannot or will not stand up to her social status, interfering mother … at all. The way Rhynne treated Dom after their encounter was… disappointing. I’d thought she was better than that, even under pressure. She’s a Guardian darn it, she shouldn’t have had to take to such childish actions toward Dom. I know – it sounds like I didn’t like Dom and Rhynne together, but I honestly did. Her inability for the majority of the story to stand beside the man she instinctively felt was her mate, and constantly give in to the pressure from her mother was… yes, frustrating.

Add to the mix a delegate from Fenris, Garviel, a wolf shifter, a Ward and his so called “body guards”… all up to absolutely no good. Rhynne’s mother is doing everything in her power to push these two together, uncaring that Rhynne loathes this man on sight. There will be truths told, damage done, fights break out and long lasting events take place before this situation all plays out.

I enjoyed Electro Dragon very much, even though it was an emotional roller coaster journey for me. In the end, Rhynne’s powerful father really stood up for her – I really liked that man. Dom will face the deepest despair known to man or dragon in this story. He will fight battles not only with enemies, but with himself as well. The action is fast paced, the story line moved a bit further and the next series is perfectly set up for us to move into.

If you need a villain to absolutely loathe… let me introduce you to Garviel. I’d definitely recommend this story and this series to any Shifter Romance reader. A solid story, a sexy couple, tensions galore and life changing decisions to be made. Absolutely loved this series, and I cannot wait to get started on Dragons of Cadia.

I read this story through my Kindle Unlimited subscription.

Totally fantastic!

Wow, talk about exciting. It was great. From mothers who care more about social standing to daughters who could care less. Lots of action, lots of intrigue and a good old fashioned love story with lots of ups and downs. Totally fantastic!

I knew i'd love Dom's book!!

This series is absolutely amazing. We essentially go through the academy with Asher, Zeke and Dom. They start the academy not even able to shift properly, barely able to fly and completely unable to defend themselves. Cadia has become a peaceful town of shifters away from prying human eyes and the guardians keep it that way.
Dom is having a hard time lately. His best friends, and fellow cadets are mated and Dom couldn't be happier for them. It stings a bit that he is quite a bit older than his friends and aside from the academy has nothing in his life. No mate, no family and no idea what lies ahead for him. He is fairly certain he is flunking out of the academy and the one person he could see in his future looks at him with nothing but distain.
Rynne Nova is the epitome of "bad ass chick" she is an instructor at the academy and a well respected guardian of Cadia. She is powerful and doesn't take anyone's else's crap..... Except for her parent's. Her family is the upper crust of Cadian society and she is expected to maintain that social standing at all times. Rynne cannot seem to stand up to her parents and is expected to find a mate based on social standing.
Rynne and Dom Each feel the pull of the other and when left alone one night at the academy they find it isn't something they can ignore. Rynne tells herself it was a mistake and tells Dom nothing at all. Instead she lashes out at him in the following months and Dom doesn't know how to handle this aside from acting out in his own way.
This book is beautifully written. And while I wasn't Rynnes biggest fan at first, by the end I was rooting for her.
We see them over come the stigmas of being born into certain social standings ... And watch as they realize that the heart doesn't care about breeding and social circle's or will choose who it chooses no matter the cost.

Breaking Free

Who would have thought it would happen it between them? So much is happening in Cadia but the question is why and why now? I can hardly wait for what the author is going to bring in the next book for another Guardian and the citizens of Cadia.

Having enjoyed the way the author paced the story to keep the reader engaged made it worthwhile to read this book. The interaction between Dom and his fellow recruits seemed more like brothers than strangers training together for almost a year. Now, what surprised me the most in this book was how young Rhynne was compared to the other instructors who were 70-700 years older while she just 34 years of age but seemed older.

Read the books in order to understand and watch how these dragons mature as they train and meet their mates.

This was an Amazing end to the Top Scales Trio. Dominick and Rhynne Nova was not what I was expecting but it was just what Dominick needed. On a night when the Academy was empty Dominick and Rhynne Nova make a connection that is completely off-limits letting there passion for each other show. But that was three months ago now Rhynne Nova is treating Dominick like he's invisible and the morning sickness is making her realize she might have to make some choices. Can Dominick show that he can love her and there child? Can Rhynne Nova love Dominick , her child, even herself enough to tell her mother she will make her own choice on who to be with. I hope to see more about the people we have learned about. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves to read anything that is fun and full of love and action.

4.5 stars for a very enjoyable read in this series.
It was great to read the story of the relationship that has been brewing between cadet Dominick and instructor Rhynne Nova, it was about time they came out of hiding and gave us a really good story. But they hid a surprise from us.
The cadets training will pay off big time when Rhynne is kidnapped and the academy is attacked.
A good story that gave us some quality time with our three cadets and our hunky instructors Blaine, Zander and the enigmatic Daxxton. It was nice to have a quick visit with Quinn and Amber too.
I hope the rest of the instructors all get their stories told too, especially Daxxton.
This is my honest review of this book.

Terrific story about Cadia and Top Scale Academy

Dominick is an electro dragon shifter that is he can throw ball of electricity and other amazing tho. He is also in love with Rhynne, a fire dragon and Instructor at the academy.

She is suppose to help her mother entertain delegates from Fenris (another shifter country) named Garveil, who she dislike intensely. Gabriel is stalking Rhynne and thinks she will be his mate . Finally Rhynne realizes Dominick is her mate, not Garveil.

Tension rises when Rhynne is kidnapped and the academy is under attack.

This book is full of drama, strong characters, and interesting storyline. Highly recommended and enjoyable.

I was oh so hoping this was the pairing for Top Scale Academy's Electro cadet and it was not disappointing at all. Turns out the academy's tough female instructor has a pretty impressive pedigree and high expectations are placed on her. Sometimes you can't help but want who you want. Turns out Im a huge fan of mating for love stories! I know we've met all the cadets now, but returning to Cadia would be AMAZING! I mean catching up with the cadets and seeing if Dom & Rhynne's little girl has gotten a playmate from Asher/Quinn or Zeke/Amber would be pretty cool!

I have loved all three books in this series, but I think this was my favorite. Domminick falls in love with Rhynne, one of his instructors at the academy, and a tough, strong woman. She comes from a wealthy, prestigious family, and is afraid of her feelings for Dom and telling her parents about him. To add more conflict, another dragon shifter from a rival town with an evil agenda, targets Rhynne for his mate. With everything against them, Rhynne and Domminick have to stand strong and believe in each other and their feelings. The ending of this book was great. So sweet and loving.

Another drama packed book, with a very mixed up couple in the middle of every thing. Both are hiding their feelings, but the tension this causes spills out in the training the cadets are doing. Then with a visiting shifter being foisted onto Rhynne by her mother, and an unerring expected surprise for the young lovers, well things can only get more complicated, which they do.
It is well worth the read.

This was an interesting book that kept me entertained. I was happy to see Dominick get his own story, and Rhynne was the perfect mate for him. I enjoyed following their story, and seeing them fall in love, all while dealing with everything that was thrown at them. All in all, a good story, and addition to the series. I'm looking forward to seeing what's next. I was gifted a copy.

Electro Dragon

Dominic is a cadet in training at Top Scale Academy. He and Rhynne had a one night stand and she has been pushing him away for the past three months. Wards from Fenris including Garviel are visiting Acadia and Garviel wants Rhynne for his own. Battles, arguments, fight verbal and physical abound. Well written and fun to read.

Great series!

Electro Dragon (Top Scale Academy Book 3) was a great end to this series about three cadets and their misadventures as they find their fated mates. I hope we get to learn more about the instructors now that the cadets are all sorted out.

It took me a long time to read this book. I didn't like it as well as the other two. I actually read other books in the middle if this. I did like the fact that this she dragon was kick Ass in the beginning.
