Go is the most popular board game in the world, and yet, no one at Felix's high school has heard of it. When his classmate Lindsay proves herself a natural genius, word travels fast, and soon an old friend from Felix's past arrives to see for himself. But beneath his curiosity lies something far more sinister...
I have read and enjoyed all of Christian Dewolf's works, but this is my favourite so far. As always, his characters are quirky and the dialogue is hysterical. I don't know anything about playing Go, but this book makes you want to learn.
You wouldn't expect a book about a board game to be full of kidnappings, private jets, elaborate set-ups and creative traps. Then again, from what I can gather about the game of Go, people familiar with it might not be surprised in the least.
This is a quick and easy read which leaves you wanting more. I can't wait to see what sort of hijinks that Ellison character gets up to next.
