Joslyn needs a fresh start.
Adam needs a getaway.
This year at Thanksgiving, a feisty old woman may bring them both a miracle.

After the loss of her husband in the war three years ago, Joslyn Alexander is unable to relinquish the ghosts that keep her from truly living again. Instead, she’s immersed herself in the care of her aging great-aunt. But as Aunt Marion’s Alzheimer’s progresses, Joslyn and her brothers must face the reality that she alone can no longer care for her. As the siblings seek a long-term care facility, Joslyn realizes that life goes on, even in the face of tragedy and loss.

Adam Turner is worn out. After taking over as director of the failing memory care facility a year ago, he’s turned the place into a thriving community for its residents. Now, all he wants is a few days off. But as he watches his Thanksgiving plans disappear in an unexpected winter storm, he’s left wondering how much more he can handle—until an unlikely invitation from a heartbroken woman brings him the respite he needs.

This Thanksgiving, all the characters from A Miracle Short Story series come together for the holidays in an unusual place. As Aunt Marion regales their guests with stories of love and loss, Joslyn and Adam realize there’s more to give thanks for this year than they ever imagined. Through grief and tragedy, there is hope.

Too short they were so Swoon dreamy Adam and Joslyn adore them. Aunt Marion might actually be the star of this book . Joslyn has been taking care of her aunt who's dementia is getting worse and needs full-time care. Her brothers have convinced her it's time to put her in a home. So Jo can get a break for taking care of everyone. Adam is the director of the nursing home and tries to ease Jo mind with letting go and it will be ok. Jo who still grieving from losing her husband. Is now trying to not think of this as a loss also and Adam is just what she needs to feel again.

I enjoyed this short family novella involving Joslyn and Adam. Joslyn had a LOT of hidden emotions in which she kept from her brothers while using the caring of her aunt Marion. As the load got too heavy her and her brother decided to transition her aunt into 24 hours nursing care... Oh what a joy that was and helping Joslyn open up to an unlikely choice with a little match making help from her good old aunt...

Fast, sweet, and to the point.

Liked this book!

I like how a reality that we may face at some point in our lives was incorporated in this book. I loved the characters and their story, my only complaint is it ended to soon, i wish it was longer.
