My name is Pamela, and I am a witch.

I will protect Rylee’s pack, my family, at all costs. They are my greatest treasure, one I never dreamed to have. And I will defend them – even to the damning of my soul.

The demons have been beaten back, but I can feel darkness lurking just beyond my sight. Darkness that is coming for those I love. To protect them, I will chance everything on a stranger.

Raven is an Elemental of great power whose words resonate within my soul. Yet while he calls to my inner spirit, I know I cannot trust him.

To prove I am worthy of his tutelage, I must complete three tasks before he will teach me the one spell I want above all others. A way to bring home loved ones taken too soon.

His first mission will drop me straight into the fiery heart of the elemental world where there waits for me both death . . .and life.

Now I must salvage my courage and conquer Raven’s challenges, or be prepared to lose everything I hold dear to my heart.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far away, I was born into a family of Star Wars nuts. I have a lot of siblings (somewhere I lost count but I think there was more than could be numbered on one hand) and being one of the young padawans I was subjected to Star Wars marathons, on a regular basis. If you've read any of my books you'll see there is often a reference to said movies as a small homage to my upbringing. May the force be with you and all that jazz.

I started writing when I realized I didn't want to grow up not believing in magic, or not believing in creatures everyone else said didn't exist. That being said, I have never seen a fairy, unicorn or dragon. I had a neighbour who swore they fed the leprechauns in their garden, but I never caught the little buggers no matter how long I lay in wait. (And consequently had to help the neighbours plant new flowers to replace those I killed waiting for the leprechauns to show their faces.)

Along the way, I found my husband who is the rock that keeps me from floating away into my dreams, and we have a little boy who is the centre of our world. Living on a farm keeps us busy (as if the writing wasn't enough) and I have more than my share of stories about wrestling with cows, helping birth calves and ending up in the creek during the process, falling in the mud (we'll call it mud but we all know that on a farm, mud is rarely mud) and chasing escaped livestock in the hopes the four legged convicts don't make it to the highway.

I've taken up archery, and the goal is to move into horseback archery in time (you know, when I can hit the target on a consistent basis) and when no one is looking, I love to bake (this doesn't happen often as it's hard to keep the sweet treats in stock with two boys in the house.)

As to what's coming next for me? More stories (since those never stop inside my head, I might as well share them with all of you!) and more adventures. Pretty much, when the fancy strikes, I'll jump on it. Leap before you look I'm sure that motto was created for me.

Or was that . . . think big and dream bigger, ready, set, pull the trigger . . . yeah. That one is a good one too. But only if you have a gun. And are hunting elephants. Which is not cool because of so many reasons. Let's stick with the first one with an addendum.

Leap before you look and let your dreams carry you on their wings. And that, my friends, is me in a nutshell.

PAMELA effortlessly blended the heroine’s past and future by having her face old ghosts during a quest to do the impossible—bring a loved one back from the dead. At first glance, Pam’s mission seemed straightforward, but like most of Shannon Mayer’s books, appearances can be deceiving. Rylee’s actions in BLOOD OF THE LOST were just the beginning. A bigger evil lurks in the shadows, and to stop it we’re going to need all hands on deck.

The previous installments in these epilogues were exactly that, entertaining after stories that allowed fans to check-in with their favourite characters however, as the leads of the original series, the author couldn’t expand on Rylee and Liam overly much. Pamela, on the other hand, was still a mostly untapped sidekick, so I really enjoyed learning what drives her, and watching her step out of the role of follower and into the one of protagonist.

There is some crossover with a couple of scenes from Mayer’s ELEMENTAL novels, Raven’s a reoccurring presence as are some of the locales, and Pam’s powers stem from that universe as well, thus I would recommend reading the former beforehand. A couple of fresh personages made their debuts such as Oka & Ajax, and I was pleased with the way Mayer went about integrating them because that’s been a gripe of mine in the past—too many new faces, too fast.

This title packed an emotional punch that only true RILEY ADAMSON connoisseurs can appreciate, and seeing how this is a continuation of that story line, greenhorns have their work cut out for them. But, trust me, the pilgrimage is definitely worthwhile. The plots of the other two volumes were settled after one go however, the ending of this book was inconclusive, so either Pam is getting another installment or the resurrected loved one is up next.

PAMELA gives Rylee and Lark a run for their money!

5 Stars... We meet Pamela in the initial books of the "Rylee Adamson" Series as a "broken" teenager betrayed by those who should have protected and loved her, but who also is the source of an ultimate power... we travel with her as she faces obstacles no teenager should be challenged with and watch as she becomes increasingly independent seeking her own identity and an understanding of her abilities... In this epilogue, we watch Pamela detach from her pack and place her trust in an unlikely source... This leads her down a path to facing her painful past, making decisions that can have disastrous consequences; and ultimately connecting with and understanding the depth of her power... I enjoyed learning more about Pamela and watching her grow and strengthen in her developing character; her tenacity, compassion, and willpower shine through as she learns to trust herself and become the powerful witch she was always intended to be:)

Fan-freakin-tastic Series Continues!

This continues to be one of the best UF series I have read in years! I mean... I am nearly without words to describe my happiness at having stumbled upon this author. Shannon Mayer is to be lauded and put synonymous with the likes of Patricia Briggs, Ilona Andrews, and Kim Harrison...et al. Amazing plots and storylines, well woven and cleverly relevant as series progresses. Forever to remain in my FAVES FOLDER!

Meeting your powerful father

Pamela meets someone who can teach her however she does not know at first he is her father. At the end she brings Alex back. As I said these books are not as good as the series but I will have to see what happens with Alex.

Oh my, what a tangled web Shannon weaves!  First I would like to see a timeline laid out for The Rylee Adamson, Elemental and Rylee Adamson Epilogues; these books are so interwoven that I'm racking my brain trying to figure where this book falls in into place.  OMG! Mind is officially BLOWN!  Shannon how do you do it?

This world is so utterly vivid and all-encompassing that you can’t help but get sucked in from the beginning.  I will warn people that I don’t think they will appreciate Pamela to the fullest if you haven’t read The Rylee Adamson series or The Elemental series along with the first two Rylee Epilogues.  I just personally feel you won’t have the full investment in Pam if you don't read the previous novels.  However, Shannon gives enough backstory that you could tackle it by itself without feeling to incredibly lost, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

Pam has once again left her “family” to learn her craft from the mysteries Raven.  She feels like she must help protect her family at all costs, do to escalating violence happening with the humans around the world.

“The war against the demons was won, but something else was coming, and I knew it as surely as I knew the color of the sky.”

She is sent on several quest that test her merit in order to prove herself strong enough for Raven to train her.  She was once again forced to fight, to kill, and to face the darkness inside herself.

“I was a child, forced into a war that was not my own. A child asked to do things no child should be."

Pamela is a character that to me is a mix of both Rylee and Lark yet totally her own.  She is a young girl with incredible amounts of power, that aren’t yet all realized.  She has so much weight on her shoulders yet, she endures it all with a fortitude of someone twice her age.

“We do not always have a choice of where we go, or where we stay.  Sometimes we just do what we must and that must be enough.”

This story was so unexpected to me, I didn’t see any of this coming.  But I never do with Shannon.  But the ending! OMG! The ending!!! Once again I found myself screaming because there were no more pages to turn!!!!  Being part of Shannon’s ARC team I am lucky that I get the books a bit earlier than most, but she still doesn’t give us many hints.  The ARC of Pamela I voluntarily received gets a Huge 5 Boundless Stars....Sara

After reading and finishing the Rylee Adamson series, I thought that I had a good grasp on who Pamela was. I was wrong.

Pamela's story is far from over, but PAMELA really helps you get to know her as a person, a witch, and gives you more of a grasp on who she is to the family she has come to love and those that are still yet to join. I have always known that Pamela loves deeply and would do anything for her family and PAMELA proves that and more.

There has been little hints that the events that happened at the end of PAMELA were going to happen, but I was still surprised that it in fact happened and how. I honestly have no clue what will happen next for the Rylee Adamson crew. It seems like a lot of things we thought we knew—for both this series and the Elemental series— are being turned upside down and flipped inside out. The only way to find out what will come next is to read more and that is what I plan to do.

This book is all Pamela and it will emotionally overwhelm you in an outstanding way! This is the third book in this series and it is all in Pamela’s POV and a phenomenal read. This book truly shows us all of Pamela. What she went through before being saved by Rylee, all the past and present feelings of inadequacy and all the pain she has suffered and to a certain point is still suffering. She has an impossible mission set in front of her and we see her fighting to prevail in the end. Once you start reading this book you emotionally get connected to everything that is happening to Pamela and through the book are hoping she will overcome everything she has to deal with and you just will not be able to leave this story until you finish it and see the outcome. I really admire how Shannon interlaces the books in the Rylee Series and the books in Elemental series in such a seamless fashion. An overall superbly put together book!

If you haven't read Rylee Adamson by Shannon Mayer first, you'll get absolutely nothing out of reading this epilogue. There is nothing going on in this that would appeal to anyone who hasn't read the main series.

If you're caught up to date or reading in order, go ahead and read this. If not, skip it.

Pamela:
67 points/100 (3 ½ stars/5)
Warning: cliffhanger (status: yeah, I wasn't really actually bothered by this one)

Pamela's story was interesting. She is still only about 15 years old, so really young. She is hurting from what she had to do, what she has lost. She finds a kitty cat that failed out of being a familiar, who is a little scared thing. They fit each other well, even if the familiar isn't very good at her job yet.

The story was interesting because Pamela is working with the enemy from the Elemental series. This is the one where you really, really need to read the Elemental series to understand what is going on here. You did for Rylee, too, but this one is super essential. Most of this will fly over your head if you haven't read it.

Technically, the plot is that Raven, the enemy from the Elemental, is teaching teaching Pamela elemental magics. And also resurrecting her boyfriend, Frank, that died. There really isn't much that actually happens in this book but Pamela running off and finding trouble occasionally because she is doing something for Raven.

It also drops a ton of hints that Blood of the Lost wasn't the worst of it, there is more to come that is even worse. That Raven is preparing everyone for it, in his own way.

Impressive & Scary. Pamela Has The World On Her Young Shoulders!!😭💔😲🙏🌎💥
An Emotional 4.5 Star Read 🌟
(Read using Kindle Unlimited)
Pamela: The Rylee Adamson Epilogues #3

Needing further training desperately, Pamela has been seeking any supernaturals that can help her, without luck!😕 She can feel the world is on the edge of another enormous shift & she needs as much skill as possible to help protect her family!!🙏😍 An Elemental, called Raven, says he'll help her. They strike a bargain & after speaking to Liam, she leaves to begin training!🙏🌟

She doesn't trust him, knows he's using her as much as she's using him, but she doesn't yet know his motives. He sends her off to the Pit to find a book in the hidden library. The real Mother Goddess speaks to Pam for the first time.😲🙏 After rescuing a half burned & abused kitten, fighting Sylphs & skeletal Queen, she's successful!👍 Raven teaches her new magic & he tells her about her Mother. She sees a memory she left her and decides she was better off without her!😢 More trials, possible betrayals & shocks are faced but she keeps learning! Then he tells her what her part is - to open the Veil and call her true love home!!💘 The Veil has to be broken for Lark to do her part. Mother Goddess says she agrees with this course, that the action is needed, so Pam agrees!!🙊😲🙏

Pamela shows so much strength for her age. She is full of resilience & determination. The heart breaking scenes from the old Children's Correctional Home, that held so many ghosts for her, were unbelievably emotional, compassionate & brave!!🙏💕 I cried quite a few times throughout this book. Raven's honesty about being the bad guy to save those he loved resonated deeply!💙 I loved this book!!😍🌟

I loved the Rylee Adamson series so I was very excited to see more of the gang. I adored these books but I will say that this series has become draining in some ways. Not because it's not great, it is, - but because there's a bloody lot happening and a lot to keep straight. And frankly, I don't think you can read these books without having read the Rylee Adamson series and the Elementals. There's too much crossover to avoid it and a lot you'll be confused about without it.

Obviously the fallout from the Blood of the Lost has left the gang changed and the epilogues follow each of the four characters as they adapt to the change that has been wrought and their own insecurities. But it also builds up to the next chapter in the world and the final book in the Elemental series, Destroyer.

I LOVE Pamela. So of course, I LOVED this novel. A whole book from Pamela's view? Who could ask for more? Although this is like the first two epilogues and introduces new characters - it also kind of doesn't. Because if you've read the Elemental series, they're people you'll recognise. Since I have and was curious about Raven and Cassava - I found this interesting and enjoyable to watch the threads come together. There was a little bit of Rylee and Liam but of course, I wished for more. Brilliant though.

I have been eagerly awaiting Pamela's story and let me tell you Shannon Mayer did not disappoint. My heart was pounding as I finished this one. Just amazing! So far this has been the best of the Rylee Epilogues. Pamela takes off on her own to train with an Elemental since there aren't any powerful witches left to train her. That Elemental is none other than Raven (if you've been reading the Elemental series you'll understand the anxiety this causes, if you haven't I highly recommend them). Raven teaches Pamela how to better harness the elements and agrees to help her bring back her loved one from the other side of the Veil. Throughout the book we wonder what Raven's true motive is. So far he has been one of the bad guys Lark has been fighting, so his motives can't be good, right? In typical Shannon Mayer fashion, the bad guy becomes one of the likable characters, like Faris. Along the journey, Pamela picks up her own familiar, faces her haunting past, and discovers more about her biological parents. She's also once again faced with an impossible task that could alienate her from those she loves most, but she has to do it to protect them. This is one of those books you'll rush through because you just can't stop reading and then will be disappointed it came to an end. Need more… Fortunately, there's another book coming out and it's from one of my favorite character's POV. I can't wait!

Pamela steals the katana Lark had made for Rylee to give to Raven, an elemental, so that he will train her and strengthen her magic. Humans are bent on starting a war and target Liam’s home to eliminate the supernaturals that live there.

Pamela has to go to the Pit where she acquires a kitten as a familiar. She and Raven go to Jack’s home in London. Pamela decides to visit Will and discovers he no longer has control over his panther shift. Pamela needs the tears from a ghost so returns to the home where her stepparents had abandoned her and discovers the guardians in charge are actually trolls. She destroys them and sets the building on fire to release the spirts trapped there. She manages to gather the tears from one ghost before he passes through the veil.

Pamela determines that Raven is her father. He has an agenda that he doesn’t share but it seems that he wants to save the elementals from some kind of fate. He shows Pamela how to use the ghost tears so she can rescue Frank from the veil but at the last minute she calls out Alex’s name instead. This action will have dire consequences and leads into the next book.

This series just keeps getting better and better. This book packs a punch that leaves you at a loss for words.

Pamela has been through a lot in her short lifetime and has seen and dealth with many things a normal teenager has never and will never deal with. She decides to take a journey to figure out her path. In the process you find out more about her past and a bit about her future as well as what is going on in the present.

She has a lot of choices to make this time around and she is the only one making those choices no one is doing it for her. She may get some help occassionally from Oka and some other reassurance along the way.

I would recommend this to anyone who has read the Rylee Adamson series. It is a truely amazing book that will keep the pages turning.

We are back with Rylee and the gang, for a set of extended epilogues. Each one will focus in on one of the main characters from the main series to see how they are doing post battle.

Pamela’s story will take her on a journey of discovery who she really is, finding a new friend, and doing the unthinkable for the greater good. Pamela’s path crosses with someone who will be very familiar to you if you have read the Elemental series. Her actions in this book will change everything for the world.

I absolutely loved Pamela's epilogue!!!!! It was nice to see her point of view and how her character has evolved so much over time along with more of her history and why she is who she is. I love this character and this epilogue has been my favourite so far. Shannon Mayer writes in a way that makes you feel like you are instantly in their world and feeling every emotion they experience. This book had me question my feelings for Raven, (do I hate him?! do I like him?!), and my feelings about Pamela have also grown. The ending will leave you with your mouth open, cursing Mayer for ending it the way she did but loving her at the same time. ;)

I’m in a love hate relationship with the series. It is a great series which I have read from the beginning. The author writes well enough to suck you into the emotional play between characters which I ADORE!! What I hate is that it seems like every book ends with another gore-ram cliff hanger! I will admit I read this series too fast and got myself burned out on it, which equally caused me to struggle to start this one. But then the author leaves off ON ANOTHER CLIFF HANGER!!!
I’m going to be honest, I am not planning on getting the rest of the series. I am still interested in finding out what happened, but I am taking a nice long break from it.

The epilogues before this one were so good, i was a little disappointed with this one, and a lot disappointed with the last one. This one has some great stuff in it. First of all Pamela is a great character and i loved her loyalty to Ryley, especially in the moments when she's falling back on her training. I liked her dealing with her past and meeting her parents and learning more about them. Adored her super cute and lovable familiar and her learning more about her spirit element powers. I did not love the end where it feels like the story instead of wrapping up like an epilogue should just jumps right into another "the world is ending.....again... btw it's only been 6 month since the last time it was going to end..." storyline.

Interesting

This book just keeps the Rylee Adamson series alive and keeps us in touch with all of the characters this book concentrated on Pamela and takes her through some tough experiences from her past. She discovers her parents and the tasks her father has set her, she learns more about her powers and also what she has to do to save the world even though it may cost her her family. She has to bring Alex back to the living he is a pivotal part in the race to save the world but in doing so she has to break the veil. What will happen next once Alex is back? Can't wait for Alex story. Another great read.

So it took me a bit to write my review because after that cliffhanger ending I was to busy having a tantrum like a 2yr old...lol Shannon Mayer is such a gifted writer that even when you want to climb through the book and strangle her for leaving you hanging you also want to hug her silly for writing such magically awesome books, there are no words really Pamela was just awesome full of our favourite characters from both the Ryle books and the Elemental series some big shocks for lovers of these wonderful books and then that ending omg it just slayed me.

OMG!!!! Pamela

As usual I start to read a book by Shannon Mayer and I can't put it down! There were a couple of things that I had guessed at, and other things I didn't. This book had me laughing out loud, and also had tears running down my face. That particular memory was in the kitchen, and that's all I'll say about it except that it was so very sad. I loved this book, and I can't wait to read the end, and at the same time don't want it to end!!! What ever Shannon writes she wrings the emotions out of you! Love a writer that can do that! Thank you Shannon!!!

Why the hell is this called a Epilog and not its own series!!!???
It is amazing!!! 😱
Why the hell is it that short 😭
I love it and I want Pam and Alex and Ajax and everyone on the team to have their own series!!! No just one lousy book.

I loved it. And more then anything, I loved that Shannon Mayer set up a good twist, gave the hints, and then didn't disappoint with having it as the big twist to the finally. For me this is an author who truly understands and doesn't underestimate her readers.

Loved this book, it is the perfect blend between The Rylee books and the Elemental series. While the series have crossed paths and some characters have been intertwined in each of the others stories, Pamela is s the book that joins the two. This could be part of both the Rylee Epilogs and the Elemental Series. Pamela leaves here adopted family to train. Here journey is more about discovering who she is and what lengths she will go thru for those she loves.

Oh my goodness! I loved this book! It took me a minute to get into it, but I think is was because of my reading slump. This book really brought Pamela to light and rounded out her character. You see a whole other side of her that really brings depth and emotion to her. The ending is not a cliff hanger so much, but you will be screaming for more and waiting with baited breath for the next book!

I received an ARC for my honest review.

Wonderful and heartwrenching

I love this series and the one that led into it. I have always liked Pam's character and always felt she could stand a series of her own. She was very under utilized in Rylie books. I really enjoyed this foray into her inner workings. I cried a lot. She has led a life of heartache and I don't see it getting better, although maybe a half demon could bring her solace ;) That I would love to see!

With the selfishness, arrogance and bravado of a teen, Pamela’s adventure begins with guilt over Frank’s death, determined to right the perceived wrong. After finding an elemental to train her for a price, manipulation, betrayal, trickery and hard truths weave through Pamela’s past as a new threat to the world gathers, Pamela makes choices that could carve her from the family Riley built.

hard knock life

Pamela keeps getting stronger but has had so many hard knocks in this 3rd Rylee Epilogue. I really like this reading order because I am enjoying finding out what happened after the demons. Pamela is only 16 and I find that her exposure to Rylee is what is ensuring that she stays a good witch. Now that she is bargaining with Raven the elemental, she will find the lines of good and bad blur more often than not. I can’t wait to read Lynchpin.

Wow I did not see this book coming!

This is an amazing story packed with character development and a plot to sink your teeth into. This book does an excellent job of showing Pamala’s journey from a scared kid into a warrior. She has to face her past and choose her own path and decide what she stands for. This also gives us a new perspective on Raven, and wow there is so much more going on than we thought!
