You've run out of time

What happens when your wealthy, pretentious Italian parents create a contract for you when you turned twenty-one and now a few years later you realize you only have nine months left to fulfill it.

The terms:
Must be married and pregnant by the age of twenty-five.

The catch:
It has to be true love.

All stipulated in the contract.

The problem:
Rica has no boyfriend.
She’s not easy.
She'll be twenty-five in nine months.

What’s NOT in the contract:
Her parents forgot to mention he must be Italian.

Well, at least there’s a little hope. Very little hope.

I was excited and eager to read this book after the blurb. The story was surprisingly well-written with a storyline and characters that kept it interesting.

Meet Rica the Italian girl who's born into a big, strict Italian family. To make things more interesting, she's signed a contract, made by her parents stating that in order to get her inheritance she'll have to be married and pregnant by the time she's 25. Time's ticking and Rica isn't ready for marriage and babies, but what else can she possible do? She needs the money for her charity. Luckily for her Luke show's up during a charity event. Luke is a hunky, arrogant, sexy and sweet Scotsman who suggest they fulfill the contract together. But Luke isn't completely honest, he has his own past and secrets that's preventing him from expressing his feelings.
Will they be able to convince Ricas parents of their fake arrangement or will it all go to hell? Will her traditional parents who demands she marry an Italian accept Luke? Will they get their happily ever after?
That's for you to find out. But let me tell you, this book is definitely worth a read. Especially since it's a heartwarming story about love, acceptance, forgiveness and loyalty.

If you want a story that is a little high on the unbelievable, but cute as a button, then this book's for you. A young woman is pressed for time when her Italian parents present her with a contract that says she must marry and conceive a child by the time her 25th birthday arrives if she wants to receive a s**t ton of money from her wealthy parents. And, Ricadonna is running out of time. She only has five months until that day. OMG she's gone on so many dates, and each guy is absolutely not for her! Too WEIRD! Too NERDY! Too OBNOXIOUS! And, Too GAY! With that being said, when she meets cocky and arrogant Luke Hamilton, she's not impressed with his attitude. But, he is one gorgeous guy! Red hair, green eyes, and a body to die for. And, when he smirks, he's just beautiful! Can a guy be considered beautiful?? Yeah, why the hell not! But, it's obviously he's not Italian. And, her parents would kill if she married anything other than one. It doesn't stipulate that she must marry one in the contract, however. Unfortunately Luke is keeping his private life a secret from Rica. He doesn't talk about his parents or any other family members. What's he hiding? Rica knows that when Luke's ready, he'll tell her. She just has to wait it out. But, before Luke can tell her his story, the truth comes out but in a not so honest way. Will Luke be able to win Rica back? Will Rica fulfill her contract with her parents?

I loved Rica and Luke! They were funny and passionate! Together, they just clicked. And, Luke took such good care of Rica. He was the perfect boyfriend. It was his guilt from an act in the past that had him so torn up, though. Rica was such an accepting person, however. If had just told her the truth and had been honest with her from the very beginning, he could have avoided his imminent heartbreak. Some of the story was a little over the top, but that's the beauty of fiction. An author can write anything they choose hoping that their audience will enjoy the story. And, this was an ENJOYABLE story! I was so rooting for Rica and Luke to get their "happily ever after". As the reader, you will just have to dive in to see if this awesome couple eventually ends up together. Another engaging love story by Vicki Green...

And, how about that cover?? That guy is just so gorgeous! He's exactly how I pictured Luke. Perfect casting!!

This novel was just okay for me. It felt very rushed and unrealistic. Then again, people do a lot of crazy things for money.

Anyone can guess what this story is about just by reading the story synopsis. Rica is from a high society Italian family that wants her to settle down, have a baby before she's 25, and her beau HAS TO be Italian as well.

Enter Luke. Luke is everything Rica's family does not want for her. He's NOT Italian... he's Scottish... and his questionable background and motives spell trouble with a capital T. Just what is he hiding? And can his non-Italian break the boundaries of pure Italian breeding?

So.....basically that's the story in a jiffy. Just so you guys know, it does move really fast. It almost seems like an insta-love even though it's not. It's just an instant attraction leads to the male lead deciding that he's going to fulfill the female lead's contract needs by the second meeting and everything taking off from there.

I was really baffled by Rica's family and their outrageous demands of their daughter. I mean, wow. And Rica and Luke. Even if it falls to money, I was like "woah" to them deciding to commit to those terms when knowing nothing about each other.

Anyway, I think this book might appeal to lots but I was Switzerland on it.

I absolutely love Rica and Luke's story. Vicki Green had a way to make her books come to life. I don't know where she gets the idea for her books. She is a literary genius. Time's Up is a Rom/Com that will leave you rolling on the floor.

Vicki Green wrote a amazing read about a truly formal and untraditional family. In "Time's Up," you meet Rica who has to marry and have a child before she is 25 years of age. Her parents made her sign a contract, she's the only girl in her family, stipulation has to be true love, and she has only 9 months left. Oh and she's running out of time. Contract is that if she does all this she will be awarded a lot of money...but Rica plans to use it for charity not for her. Read and Find out what happens.

OH MY GOD!! I loved this book so much!!! I could not put it down the whole time I was reading. The connection between the characters was great. Time's Up is hilarious! It will have you laughing so much, while at the same time it is very sweet. I did not want the book to end at all. I completely love what Vicki Green did with this book.

This author spoilt me, she gave me a quick, clever read, with an interesting storyline and characters that were just brilliant.
I loved the whole set up, the demands that were being put on Rica by her family were far from fair but she knew the score, they hadn’t moved the goalposts on her, no matter how much she may have wished they would and now with her 25th birthday looming, she has to face up to the fact that she has a contract to fulfil, I mean she doesn’t only have to find a guy and get married, she has to get pregnant too…nothing like piling on the pressure!
There are so many stipulations that she has to take into consideration that at times I was beginning to wonder if she would ever be able to satisfy them all but that as right up until the most unlikely hero sauntered across the page, because one tiny glimpse at Luca and I knew she was done for, I hoped that I was reading all the right signs because as perfect as I thought he was I couldn’t help but get a feeling that he seemed to have a few secrets of his own lurking around.
It was impossible not to fall for this pair and their situation, they had the makings of the real deal, they just had to work out whether or not they were heading in the right direction, after all as much as he was everything she might have wanted, he isn’t exactly the Italian boy her boisterous family had stipulated.
This is a story about love, in all its guises.
The love that parents have for their children, the hopes and dreams that they will one day find a happiness that will last them a lifetime.
The love between the most unlikely of characters, the sort that falls into place and refuses to listen to reason.
The sort of love that won’t be denied, the sort of love that is bone deep and that you know in your soul is right and that you will fight to have even if everyone else tells you, that you shouldn’t.
This is all of that and more.

When I read the blurb for Time’s Up! to say that I was intrigued would be putting it mildly. A contact that you signed with your parents stating you would be in love, married and pregnant by the time you hit 25 years old to get your money from them? This isn’t an arraigned marriage story by any means but I will say the plot was one I hadn’t read before at least not like this. Time’s Up! is a romantic comedy that is packed with drama and a side of secrets.

While I enjoyed Time’s Up!, I feel that some parts were too drawn out and some of the characters started to get on my nerves, the main one being Rica our heroine. She is feisty. Stubborn and sassy but at the same time I just wanted her to be more. And I got it you, your family and friends are Italian I don’t need to be reminded of that fact a million times throughout the book, okay maybe not a million but after a while I was over it. Rica while a character I wanted to love unfortunately ended up being one that I barely tolerated. Luke now he made me want to continue forward with the story. He was cocky, he was arrogant, he was sweet and he was determined. I wish we would have had more POVs from his character but the ones we did get I enjoyed. He has secrets. Did he screw up? Yes but before you send a mob after him he didn’t do anything that bad. I honestly felt more for him and his feelings than I did Rica’s in the book.

I think that the story was just too drawn out, I understood why the author put it in there but after a bit I just wanted it to move forward. Certain things seemed to be swept under the rug and Rica did not take any ownership in her part of the problem and that bothered me. Communication is key people, communication is key. While I am not saying that I loved this one I did overall enjoy it and I think others will as well, and it very well could be it is a me not the book situation going on here.

Times Up is an off the wall romantic comedy. The adventure Rica finds herself on, a path forced by her parents, is one of love, heartbreak and loving your family through it all.

Rica, an Italian girl, with Italian friends, finds her ultimate rebellion with a non-Italian, Luke. She's loyal, a bit too stubborn and surrounded by a large, overbearing, yet well-meaning, family.

Luke is a lovable guy, however he does take a while to warm up to. He crashes his way into Rica's life and is constantly keeping her on her toes.

Times Up is a fun read. It's jam packed, quick moving and full of laughs.

A loophole paired with second base ends up with a lot of innuendos and dominant men. Rica and Luke had a plan but the past that has haunted him bring more problems and misunderstandings than their love could handle.

This was a wonderful book and the events flowed from beginning to end. Shoot Luke was even a mystery to me especially after the fundraiser run in. I didn’t know what to think. I thought Alex was an ass but a big Italian brother nonetheless. Oh, the web he weaved.

I enjoyed Rica and Luke and was happy how everything played out from beginning to end.... Forget the contract, I loved the romance.

Heroine was awful

This will probably have spoilers. I don't think I can keep it clean and say what I need to say.
First, I love Luke. Yes he messed up by not sharing his past, and the reason he didn't wasn't based in reality. How could he think that what happened would make him look bad?! He also had a little bit of a materialistic way about him, buying extremely extravagant things instead of being practical.
Rica. She was very immature and a bit of a brat. How she behaved toward Luke after that night was awful. And having intentions of not involving him in his child's life?! Not right!
Honestly, if anyone needed therapy and to have a come to Jesus moment about themselves, it was her.

I sometimes want to kick Luke's jewels tho. hahaha! grrr... Anyway, overall the story is amazing and I love how I was easily pulled in into the story of Luke and Rica and also I sometimes got carried away on the things that are happening to them! Another fantastic book from Vicki.
I just absolutely love her writing style. Time's Up is a different twist on a love story. Luke and Rica meet in a funny way and their story is one you don't want to miss.
When a large, Italian family meets with the gorgeous red haired, green eyed love interest of their daughters, will they be open to someone not Italian?
Rica and Luke have an amazing story to tell. Heart warming, fun, devastating and unbelievable. You will have to read it to find out.

Time's Up! was my first time reading anything written by Vicki Green. Rica is the only daughter of a pair of overbearing and eccentric Italian parents, who decide that she must be in love, married and at least have a baby on the way by her twenty fifth birthday in order to receive an inheritance.

Rica is stubborn, loyal and completely selfless. She works tirelessly for charity, and her path to finding a happy ever after and fulfilling her parents requirements is not easy. Rica and Luke meet through a charity event, and he's not exactly what her parents had in mind.

Luke is cocky and arrogant, but also sweet, and caring and very genuine, but he has secrets and he is very closed off.

This is quite a fast paced read, and although it's told from a dual point of view, the majority of the book is told from the heroine Rica's point of view. I really enjoyed the chapters that were told from Luke's view point, and they really gave me a greater insight into his character and it was those chapters that really endeared him to me.

Rica and Luke's story has a bit of everything it's heartwarming, yet heartbreaking and at times quite humorous and fun. This is about family, love and loyalty. Overall an engaging and entertaining read and I look forward to reading more of Ms Green's work in the future.

This one was a surprise for me. At first when I started this I thought it would be cute because I have read contract romances before. What brings this one to life is the characters-Rica and Luke. Rica also has a boisterous family that plays abit in this. When she does go out with him after he overhears a conversation, not first time seeing him either which got her meter going, she crazy goes along with him because he is that good. Thing is there is only so much time in a contract that left out one thing "Italian" lol. Anyways as they go on with this you will be wondering about Luke because things will come to surface and be said that will pick at your curiosity. He will melt your heart like he does to her. Another thing is watch out for those deals they can be dangerous. Things go on a roll but there is a bit of trouble from a sibling. When things do explode your heart will too. My or my she will pull on the emotions left and right in this one but I will tell you when things do go south I am on his side and abit upset with her. Anyways you are captured in this story with alot that goes on with by the time you are wrapped up in the ending you are on a stupor from a surprisingly excellent romance.

Time's Up! by Vicki Green was this off the charts hilarious story about Rica and her eccentric italian parents who have a contract made up for her that she must find love, marriage and a baby all before her 25th b-day. Too bad she cannot find a man that sets her parts on fire...that is until Luke. Luke is far from italian and has tons of secrets but keeps running into Rica. They form a friendship and an unlikely relationship blooms when Luke overhears Rica talking about the contract. What happens after this is a hilarious but well written story about how true love finds its way even when the bloodlines aren't the same.

This story is about Rica and a crazy contract where she has to meet, fall in love and have a baby by 25. The contract is made up by her crazy parents. This is a hilarious story of her trying to find love and having no clue how. The story itself is fantastic. I love the characters and the plot. The crazy and funny just make it so better! When her and hottie Luke meet and become friends there seems to be more than just attraction there as well. Will his secrets tear them apart? Will they get their happily ever after? This book is most definitely worth a read. I recommend it for everyone!

This book is a bit different from books I have read.
Rica's Italian family is ultimately forcing her with a contract, to find a husband that she is totally in love, marry him and then become pregnant with his baby by the time she reaches a certain age. They forget to include that he has to be Italian. Rica's time to fulfill said contract is almost up.
Along comes Luke, who I love! He is hot, mysterious, willing to help Rica, but he is far from Italian. Luke as amazing as he is has his secrets.
This book has a little bit of everything and kept me on my toes. With the angst, humor and a whole lot of romance, the storyline was like a rollercoaster I didn't want to get off of. It is absolutely a must read.

I received and voluntary reviewed an ARC of this book. This book was read and reviewed by Stacy Aube for Cutting Muse Blog Review.

With her 25th birthday coming up Rica is on a time crunch to hold up her end the contract with her parents. They want her married and pregnant.

Rica meets Luke at a charity event, little does she know that her world will drastically change.

This is a great read I couldn't put it down. I can't wait to read more from this author.

Time's Up is the story of Rica and Luke. Rica has a contract with her parents that she married and pregnant by 25...and her time's almost up. Her prospects for a husband are abysmal...until he appears at a charity softball game. He's arrogant, sexy...and perfect for her! Together they hatch a plan to fulfill her parents' contract...but they get more than they bargain for! A must read! 4.5 stars!

I volunteered to read an ARC of this book. No payment was received in any form for this. These are my thoughts and only my thoughts on the story.

Another great read by this author

This is a quick read. I loved getting to know the characters.

Rica has a contract she needs to fulfill..She must get married and be pregnant before her 25th Birthday, it must be true love. Her family is Italian and they want the bloodline to be pure, but they forgot to put that in the contract so there is a loophole for Rica to use as she hasnt met an Italian man she feels anything close to love for.

I loved Luke, he shows up and throws Rica off kilter. He wants to helpnher with fulfilling the contract.

He is not being completely honest with Rica. Will they be able to con her family, will they find true love? One click when it releases to find out!

Has the author ever actually seen a penis before? “It’s as long as it is wide. How is that supposed to fit inside me?” Uh, unless he’s a giant with an abnormally wide penis, easily.

Nobody calls a mocha a “mocha coffee.” It’s usually just mocha, but depending on where you live, it could be a café mocha or mocha latte.

When the book starts she’s 9 months away from her birthday, but after approximately 2 week’s time, she’s only got 5 months left.

These are just the easy parts to point out. Otherwise, it’s poorly written, overly hokey, and not in the least believable. Her brothers met him the same day she did, yet they’re somehow not suspicious when she moves in with him a week later despite not even knowing she was dating? Then, about a week later he stops talking to her for a month (despite the fact that they live together) and when he apologizes, she forgives him just like that and jumps right into losing her virginity?

All of this while he has some big dark secret that she can’t ever know because she’ll never want him and he can’t handle that because he already loves her. What’s his secret? That his parents died in a house fire set by some burglars and he wasn’t there to stop it. Oh, and that he’s the silent owner of a charity that his parents started and he’s really filthy rich. Cue eye roll.

So many inconsistencies, badly thought out phrases, and repetitive actions. I had to force myself to finish it to see if it got better. It didn’t. Merely because it wasn’t SO horrible I couldn’t finish it, I give it 2 stars. Don’t waste your time.

What first caught my eye was the cover of this book... hellloo handsome ;) then the blurb O wow it was something new exciting and I just knew I had to read this book.

The book is fun sweet and a good read the characters are way over the top lol funRica was just super likeable and Luke yep a bit of an a** but you know deep down he was a great guy.

Whilst I did enjoy this book but thought lost some momentum in the middle and I didn't like the blow up between them her brother really annoyed me.

It was a good read and had lots of likeable factors
