Adam Blade is in his late twenties, and was born in Kent, England. His parents were both history teachers and amateur artists, and Adam grew up surrounded by his father’s paintings of historic English battles – which left a lifelong mark on his imagination. He was also fascinated by the ancient sword and shield that hung in his father’s office. Adam’s father said they were a Blade family heirloom.
As a boy, Adam would spend days imagining who could have first owned the sword and shield. Eventually, he created a character – Tom, the bravest boy warrior of them all. The idea for Beast Quest was born.
When Adam grew up and decided that he wanted to be a writer, he was stuck for ideas – until he remembered the old sword and shield, and the imaginary boy he had created when he was young. Adam decided to bring Tom fully to life so that readers could go on the kind of adventures that he always wanted to when he was that age… And still does, even though he’s grown up!
When he’s not writing Beast Quest books, Adam enjoys visiting museums and ancient battle sites. His main hobbies are fencing and football. He also spends a lot of time at home running around after his two exotic pets – a tarantula named Ziggy, and a capuchin monkey named Omar. These little rascals were the inspiration for two of the Beasts that Tom faces on his Quest – Arachnid and Claw.
Sadly, Adam does not have his own Fire-Dragon or Horse-Man. But he really wishes he did!

A good story set in-between series 1 and 2 of Beast Quest. this is the first time that Tom meets a rival and character who will reappear in series 3. This is a good story about the teamwork and trust between Tom and Elenna. I am glad that Tom also get to display his courage,determination, and some fighting skills. There are also a lot of nice illustrations in the book.
This time tom is sent on a quest against time. with a bit (I do mean a bit) of help from the good beasts of Anantia he and Elenna must help two new twin dragons be delivered to the Mountains of Rion where they can be protected and raise as good beasts. However the evil wizard Malvel has sent his own emissary to try and capture and corrupt the beasts. All this has to be done with in day before the full moon raises to it's highest point. As an adult reading this I would have given this 4 stars for the target audience my kids insist it is 5 stars.

Fantasy, double the length of earlier books. Twin newly hatched dragons, one red and one green, must be protected from an evil wizard. Along the way Tom and Elena learn not to trust everyone they meet, and use their wits to solve problems.
The landscape is an integral part of the story as always. Canoeing, mountains and snow are on this journey.
While we do see a lot of violence, we understand the motivations and Tom is protecting others or himself when he swings his sword.
This is an unbiased review.

I enjoyed this book because this book was epic. I did not like the part when Seth (a boy that was huddled in a ball sleeping in the mountains Tom found) stole Vedra and went away. Tom had to go through a labrynth to find Vedra. Krimon helped Tom. When Tom got to Vedra, Vedra was already evil. So Tom had to get him with the tip of his sword on Vedra's belly to make him good again.

The story was very short and the language was too simple. Just a bit dull. The exclamation marks were missing.

I liked the part in the book where they found all the beasts. It is an exciting book all the way through. There is nothing I dislike about it.

This book was the best Beast Quest I have read!
This was about two young beasts that had to learn the ways of good. I really liked the bit which involved most of the beasts.
