Two men so hot nothing can quench their fire … but will she lose them both?
As the mayor’s daughter, Rose Collins has to pay attention to public opinion. Running a children’s charity that teaches kids about fire safety is no problem at all for her father’s image, until it brings her into contact with two sexy, equally irresistible firefighters.
Max Johnson is dark, blue-eyed, and in control, and Blake Summers is a blond, green-eyed smartass, but both of them are muscular, gorgeous, and determined. They share an apartment, a dedication to their work ... and an attraction to Rose that makes it impossible for her to choose between them.
Convincing their curvy brunette to take a chance on an unconventional solution is an enjoyable mission for the men -- but then an unexpected scandal forces them apart. Can Rose and her men find a way to be together, or will politics wreck their chance at a happy ending?
Double Heat is a scorching standalone MFM menage with no cheating, no M/M scenes, and a happy ending. Recommended for readers 18+ due to extreme scenes of panty-melting hotness.
Double Heat ends at around 55% percent. For a limited a copy of King: MC Romance is also included at the end of the story.
Tired of her step-mother Rose moves out of her parents condo into her own apartment. The first day there she meets Blake and is instantly attracted to him, but decides to keep her head down. She meets Bruce later at a charity ball, unknowing they are roommates and coworkers. When she runs into Bruce again after he rescued her from embarrassment, she agrees to a date unknowing whom his roommate is. Blake invites himself along for the date and together they start an uneasy relationship between the two of them, the men thinking they have to compete. When Rose is unable to make a choice between the two men, they make the choice to offer for ALL of them to be in a relationship together. Rose, open to it, falls in love with both men, but when they are threatened by the press and her step-mother she steps away to protect the men. When Rose is in danger, Bruce and Blake come to her rescue again. Will Rose decide to follow her heart or will she back away to please the public and her step-mother?
Love menage stories like this! Love how they all counterbalance each other, between Bruce's more serious personality and Blake's fun loving, no care personality, Rose was the perfect medium. It was a hot read and I will definitely be reading more from this author! Perfect read for someone who loves menage romances!

Seriously what is there not to love about 2 built loveable firefighters? Can you say um yes please!!!!!! Absolutely loved this book. I loved the chemistry between Blake,Bruce and Rose. This book had stream, love and made me laugh. Plus when you think things are going to fall apart the author proves you wrong in a way that was surprising but oh so wonderful Highly recommend especially since it involves not one but two extremely hot firefighters.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
Actual Rating: 4.90
I loved this book. Vanessa Kinney's writing off the charts hot, sensual, teasing, and pure gold. I couldn't get enough of this story and the characters.
So let me start by saying this is the menage book I have ever read. This book is panty melting hot. What's not to love about a menage between a goody mayor's daughter who's ready to let loose and fulfill he fantasies with two hot as hell firefighters. There's nothing better. This book drips sex and I could only dream of having to hot men fight over me.
Rose Collins is daughter to the Mayor who is up for re-election. After moving into her own place she quickly stumbles into Blake, the cocky as sexy all hell firefighter who lives in her complex. Rose can't get him out of her head and all the dirty things she would love to do with him. Shortly after she has an encounter with Bruce, who comes to her rescue. Rose can't help but to have forbidden thoughts about the two men together.
I loved Blake and Bruce. They were hysterical. I loved the way they fought over Rose, but both felt so deeply for her. They are great firefighters who came up from nothing and made something of themselves. Rose is sweet, but has dark erotic thoughts when it comes to Blake and Bruce. She gets her chance to let fantasy become reality and it is even more than she could have ever hoped for. I loved every minute of this book. I loved the way this story played out between the three of them. It was so friggin good and I can't even try to say how hot the sex was.
I took a few points off this book because I wanted Rose to grow a backbone and take control of her life and not let people intimidate her and dictate her life. I would have liked her story to take a different turn. But that in no way took anything away from this book. I loved it and it will probably be rereading sometime in the near future. I highly recommend to all those who can handle the heat packed in this book.
Double Heat Wow! Hot and steamy, I had an extremely hard time putting this book down. A couple of chance meetings start the ball rolling on what could turn out to be Rose's most daring fantasy coming true. But will she have the courage to take it where she needs it to go? Or will she cop out, for the sake of her father's campaign? Being the mayor's daughter truly isn't what it's made out to be, and Rose is feeling the heat and wanting out, so she's decided she either has to move out into her own apartment, or let her stepmother drive her up the wall. Blake and Max are not only room mates, but co-workers also. Max may be Blake's supervisor, but both have been through thick and thin together since early childhood. What they aren't prepared for was to fall in love...with the same woman...at the same time. But who could possibly predict all that could, and most likely will, happen? Will this triad ever get to enjoy the budding love that's started as a smolder?
Rose, Blake and Bruce were seriously hot together. Rose was all business and rarely went out and had fun, so when she meets her guys, her reaction to both of them was comical. She was very reserved, whereas Blake was very "in your face" and Bruce was more of a gentle giant. I liked both men equally for her and I liked the way both men were consumed with thoughts of her. I did feel that at times, the guys acted a little childish over her. Blake's humor, Bruce's chivalrous behavior and Rose's vulnerability made this story for me. I voluntarily reviewed this ARC.
What would you do if you had not one but two perfectly stacked hot firefighter men chasing your tail.... which would you pick Bruce well mannered down to earth man or Blake with his sinful smirk and his take what he wants attitude... can't decide , take them both. That's what Rose will do but she is watched all the time since her beloved father is the mayor and up for reelection. Will these three be left alone to pursue their love or will realty come and make their lives hell.....
Rose is a mayors daughter, she ends up renting her own apartment as she doesn't get along with her stepmother. Whilst trying out the gym she first meets Blake, the oh so beefy firefighter and the attraction is instant! But wait as an added bonus throw in Bruce another firefighter (Blakes best friend and boss) who comes to her aid. Now she has double the trouble and double the fun. The sexual chemistry amongst them is explosive! And not without consequence.
I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. It was a great story with great characters . This was my first book from this author and I was glad that I found her . I really liked this book.
This is my first read form Vanessa Kinney and I am so glad that I found her. She knows how to tell a story with two hot firefighters and one girl that is lucky enough to have both guys wanting her. I really liked how this story was played out.
Two sexy fireman that are childhood best friends. Throw in some great fantasy scenes and even better real one. A thing of true beautiful. I voluntarily reviewed this book as an exclusive arc
Rose Collins is just moving in to her stuffy NY apartment. Being the Mayor’s daughter, she has to make sure that she doesn’t make waves that might impact her father. One of the perks of her apartment complex is that there’s a small gym, so she goes there. She needs a quick shower before returning to her unpacking and distractedly wanders into the locker room, but she accidentally bumps into someone… with hairy legs? She looks up into the eyes of a very sexy, ripped guy! With weak knees, she starts to collapse and he grabs hold of her! Blake flirts shamelessly with her and drops his towel, loving how embarrassed she is. Neither, however, get the other’s phone number, which they each groan over later.
In the meantime, Blake’s roommate, Bruce, attends an event to raise money for a firehouse program for kids. Blake spots a gorgeous woman, the Mayor’s daughter who is in charge of the kids’ program. Instantly attracted, Bruce later asks for a date. How will Blake react to this, finding it’s the same woman he had met in the gym? How will Rose feel about finding Blake again?
This is a good read. The personalities of the two guys are widely different, but they have been best friends forever. And Rose has a nice balancing effect. I recommend this book! It’s a cute and fun read. I voluntarily reviewed this book and my comments reflect my honest opinion.
DNF @ 40% (however I think that it was one of those annoying kindle books where only about half the book is the story you thought you were getting and the other half is some freebie so I probably read more like 70-80% of the actual story)
This was so annoying, I hated how stereotyped the characters were- Rose is pretty much faints when she meets Blake because he's hot, who does that? It's like something from a black and white film. Blake and Max also seem to view her like a precious little idiot who needs looking after by big strong men- there are contact references to how she's small/adorable/cute, she's also super clumsy because women being physically inept is also cute- who knew. I also hate how every woman before her was disposable- they were both hit it then quit it until her, because she's not like other women (who knew other women were so bad- not me).
They also aren't actually that happy with the whole sharing situation- Rose knows that they both only agree to it because she can't choose. While they're old enough to make that decision it's frustrating that she doesn't even bother to recognise that it's not something they actually want (she's too caught up in how hot they are).
Rose is the mayor's daughter who just moved into her own apartment to get away from her new stepmom. She finishes a workout in the apartment building's gym and accidentally goes into the men's locker room and runs into Blake. Blake is instantly attracted to Rose but Rose is too embarrassed and runs away. Later Rose is at a fundraiser for the charity she works for and is accosted by a reporter. Max runs to her rescue and grabs the humilating picture. Both Rose and Max feel instant chemistry but Rose get nervous when she finds out Blake and Max are roommates. Rose agrees to date Max but Blake doesn't want Max to have the advantage.and he forces his way into the date. Max and Blake keep competing for Rose until Max gets the idea to share Rose. Everyone likes the idea but Rose is nervous about people finding out and her Dad's political carrer being ruined. I loved the characters in this story. Their interactions are funny and natural. Max and Blake have no interest in each other but Rose is everything to them. I received a copy of this story and this is my review.
This is a new to me author, I am so glad when I find one that I enjoy. Double Heat was a very enjoyable story, I really liked it. I liked how each character in the story completes the other. You have your very sexy, very hot firemen and sassy heroine and her best friend (which I loved), the dirty little secrets you do not want to get out all rolled into one book. Even though I liked this book, I did feel that the characters did need some tweaking. I felt they could have been a bit more developed and that the heroine could have thought things out better; she’s a smart woman not some bimbo. Also, even though the men of the story were sexy hot firemen, they needed to stop the inner whinologue, they are strong firemen, yes they have a soft side but hello they put out fires and run into burning buildings. I would recommend this book to the readers who like a good sexy scene to kick start her/his night or if you just like sexy firemen like I do.

This is a new author to me and what a great little read this was.
Rose tired of living under her father and step mother\s roof and being the daughter of the mayor she decides to move on her own. Moving into an apartment she quickly learns that she has some sexy firemen living in the same block and on the same floor as her. Bruce and Blake are long time friends, live together and work together at the same fire hall.
One thing leads to another and the 3 of them end up in a relationship and it is a sexy hot menage that will melt your panties and heat up your kindle. This author does a great job of showing how much each person in the relationship cares and loves each other. This story is one that will keep you on the edge of your seat while things get hot and steamy!!!
If you are looking for a steamy romance with an unconventional relationship this is the book for you!!!
I volunteered to review an Advance Reader Copy of this book for Rockstar Book Muse
Overall rating: 4.25 Story quality: 4 Steam under the collar: 4.25 Character development: 4.
Double Heat and it is hot! I over all enjoyed the book. Two hot Firefighter fighting over you is hot. Now Having Two hot Firefighter not only fighting over you but taking you to bed together is even better! I am not normally a big fan of Ménage books but this one has hit my list of must reads. The relationship that develops between Rose, Blake and Bruce is HOT. Blake is the outgoing and fun loving guy where Bruce is the strong and intellectual type. They make a great combination and have been friends for years. When they both fall for Rose all bets are off until they bite the bullet and share her.
**** Vanessa Kinney thank you for sending me an ARC copy of Double Heat: Firefighters Ménage Romance for a voluntary review! ***
I really really liked this book. All the characters were great. They all had really good chemistry and got along. I loved the boys. Max was more serious but sweet. Blake was goofy but a total sweetheart. By the end Rose had both guys eating out of the palm of her hand but Blake seemed to really show his emotions. It was really nice to see. This book was pretty steamy in the best possible way and everything seemed to really gel. Only down side was I think it needed to be edited again. In the description for the book, Blake has blonde hair and green eyes. But in the book itself he is described as having brown hair. His eyes are green at the beginning of the book then the rest of the book referred to as brown. And step momma had to go! A little sad daddy didn't kick her to the curb. Otherwise great book. Happy ending. Definitely recommend.
This book was HOT!!! Two hot firemen and one hot mayor's daughter! After a long dry spell for the daughter she meets both men and they start a large, smoldering, brushfire if you know what I mean. LOL! Both men are falling in love with Rose and she can't decide which one to choose so the only logical solution is all 3 together. Why not? They're young & single. Only problem is Rose's father is running for re-election as Mayor of New York City. Oh well! Characters were good, the story was hot and funny. Reminds me of another series set in the Wild West in a town that legalized men sharing wives since women were few and far between in the harsh conditions. Would love to read more about Rose, Blake & Bruce though! See what happens down the line.
This was my first book by Vanessa Kinney and I look forward to reading more in the future by her. This book was not only smoking hot from the scorching sexual chemistry between the three characters but the angst, the chase and the problems that arise will keep you consumed in their story.
Rose meets two fire fighters at two different times and is attracted and drawn to them both. She can't decide who she will pick but they come up with an idea that could help with that or will it? Her dad is the mayor who is up for re-election so she is in the public eye big time. Things happen and she is thrusts into the media big time.
I know this isn't a very good description but I really don't want to give this book away. I do highly recommend it and think that you will enjoy it as well.
Blake and Bruce have been friends since they were kids and now they are sexy firemen and roommates. Then they both end up wanting the same chick, the mayor’s daughter. There’s a lot of almost moments and teasing and then finally, some ACTION. Now I’m not a big fan of super long descriptive fantasies, I don’t know- I guess because it’s not really happening. So I kind of skimmed those parts. But the actual action was HOT. And actually, all three of them are kind of adorable together really. But you know it’s hard to get others to understand a relationship of 3 people, which always makes for an interesting story. I received an exclusive arc of this book.
This was a fun menage read, Rose the Mayor's daughter, meets Blake at the gym in their apartment. Bruce, she meets at a fundraising dinner and he saves her from a photographer's camera.
"Tight muscles. Broad shoulders. Big Hands."
Rose can't get them out of her mind, and they can't forget her, each man carrying a torch without the other knowing. Then it all comes out in the wash!
"I've been inside buildings that are on fire, on the brink of collapse, and it doesn't compare to the heat that I felt between Rose and me." (Blake)
"Once in a lifetime opportunity."
I chose to read this arc and all opinions in this review are my own and completely unbiased.
As the daughter of the mayor, Rose just wants to live and not be harassed by her step-mother. Constantly being told what to do, how to act or who to date.
She moves out and while accidentally walking into the men's locker room in her apartment building, she meets sexy fireman Blake. Not only one handsome fireman but two comes into her life. She meets Bruce at a fundraiser his position requires him to attend.
Two sexy, ripped firemen, how is a girl to choose? But with her father running for office she has to be careful of her behavior and her choices. This was a very steamy and fun read.
This is one sweet read! I hadn't read anything by this author--Double Heat was my first, boy won't be my last. Ms Kinney took these separate elements...two yummy alpha male firefighters, a local politician's daughter, the bitchy stepmother, and one super good friend of the daughter--tossed them all together with some romance, a dash of angst, along with a healthy scoop of humor and came up with this terrific little storyline!
You need to add this book to your collection--it's sweet seduction at its best! (I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and really enjoyed it!)
This is the first book I've read by this author and it was hot. Rose, Bruce, and Blake were great together. I loved the competition between Bruce and Blake, but even more so, I loved how those two respected each other's feelings for and time with Rose. Much of their focus was on her pleasure, sometimes going without release themselves. It fits and reinforces the idea of firefighters being selfless. This is definitely the ultimate firefighter fantasy.... times two! *I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. This is my honest review.*
this is a completely steamy hot menage book. i absolutely loved reading this its not like all the other menage books this is very intense. i loved the fact that the firemen in this story are already good friends. i like the fact that from male pov the conversation between them to maybe try a threesome is great and what i would imagine male friends would say to each other. a must read i would definitely recommend this book.
Two hot firefighters and one curvy woman. They both want her and she wants both of them. What's a girl to do? Rose, Bruce, and Blake are the triad in this steamy menage romance. She's the mayor's daughter and any scandal could destroy his re-election chances but her heart can't say no to those two irresistible men.
This is a fun, sexy, very steamy story, my first by Vanessa Kinney, and I enjoyed it a lot.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
Very impressed with this author. The story is written well,a decent background on each of the characters is presented. Blake comes across as cocky and arrogant and pushy but that could very well be due to his upbringing. Max is genuine & more thoughtful and also somewhat possessive over Rose. Rose is demure and a bit insecure at first. The threesome sex scenes are very hot and well described/detailed.
I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book." Smoking hot goodness. Double the pleasure for her measure! Great book full of steamy goodness. Loved the push & pull of the characters. They both called to different parts of her, which then even her out. The step mother was a pain. I think the dad is being blind to her evil ways which almost cost him his daughter.
