With a title like Nine Kinds of Naughty how could I not want to read this book? This was my first book from Jeanette Grey and I was definitely impressed with her writing style. The story of Lexie and Dane flows from page to page in an easy manner and you’ll be sucked right into it without even realizing the captivating effect it has on you.

I found Lexie and Dane to be amazing characters and I loved their sexy and forbidden attraction. Their story delved into the world of BDSM but it was all done in a very tasteful manner so I think for people who don’t like this genre too much it will still be a good book. Dane may have been under Lexie in their professional job but when it came to their personal lives she was the one submitting to him, which made for some great scenes. I loved that about the book and found it unique for that reason since it’s usually the Hero that’s the big bad Dom in every aspect of his life. Instead, we got to see their roles switch in and out of the bedroom and it made their story really interesting.

This wasn’t just a big book of smut though, there was a lot of relationship involved also and we got to see Lexie working her way towards trusting Dane. I really liked that we got to see these two building their relationship slowly before going all it and it one of the reasons I was so involved in the story. Bottom line, this is a definite recommend from me and I hope a lot of people will give it a try. I haven’t read the first two books in this series and I wasn’t lost at all so it’s not necessary to read this series in order.

A sexy, titillating, and wickedly naughty read that will for sure have you craving for more of Jeanette Grey’s sinful and seductive prose. In her latest release, Nine Kinds of Naughty, the third installment in the Arts of Passion Series, Grey turned up the heat and sex factor several notches as she dangerously weaved romance, passion, and a little angst into the mix. With her vivid description, Grey not only awakens our desires but she allows readers to understand her characters on a deeper emotional and sexual level. I loved the plot of this story since Grey told the story of Lexie Bellamy and Dane Huntley in such a lyrical manner that you can’t help but be consumed by their intense relationship. So if you are looking for one scorching read that weaves passion and raw emotions then Nine Kinds of Naughty might be the book for you.

This review can be found at All About Romance: http://allaboutromance.com/book-revie...

With a title like Nine Kinds of Naughty, author Jeanette Grey is definitely setting up some high expectations for steamy scenes in this third novel in the Art of Passion series. If you’ve read Seven Nights to Surrender and its companion/sequel Eight Ways to Ecstasy, you’ll know that she’s up to the task. This standalone novel ups the ante by delving into a forbidden workplace/BDSM romance that has an interesting and sexually intense plot and enough strong character development to make it stand above the crowd.

Lexie Bellamy is a driven young woman. When her father went to jail on corruption charges, her older brother Rylan fled to Paris and refused to take over the reins of the family company. With their younger brother Evan away at school, the fate of the business rested on Lexie’s shoulders. Ignored and dismissed as a child in favor of her brothers, assuming control was a definite boost to her self-esteem. But Rylan’s sudden return from Paris to take his rightful place as the head of the company has her on unsure footing again. She’s determined to prove she belongs at the top with him, and a trip to Spain to put out some fires in their continental division is the answer. She insists that her assistant, capable and trustworthy Dane Huntley, accompany her. She’s been able to ignore the sizzle of attraction between them that’s always been there because work always comes first. But spending long days and evenings together in sultry Spain will test her endurance – especially when Dane offers her a chance to relinquish control to him in return for pleasure beyond her imagining. Will the relationship they develop overseas be relegated to a footnote when they return home or can they turn it into something more?

Control is the theme on multiple levels in this story. There is the traditional power exchange that one expects to see in a BDSM romance and this one, with its heavy emphasis on the Dominance/ submission part of the genre explores that thoroughly. Lexie is a workaholic with no time for relationships. She is afraid of being seen as weak and goes out of her way to appear the opposite, always remaining in control. But Dane has been biding his time to show Lexie that letting go of control can be a good thing, if it’s done with the right person. Itching to introduce her to his sexual world, he finally gets his chance on their plane ride to Spain, and things progress from there. These scenes are super hot and take up a fair portion of the story, so even if you’re just reading it for those, you’ll be well satisfied.

New to the world of submission, Lexie struggles with the implications should anyone find out. Not only that, but her last relationship was with a man she worked with and trusted – who dumped her when news of her father’s arrest got out. She still has to deal with that person, to her humiliation, and the armor she’s put on as a result is pretty thick. Dane is her subordinate whom she counts on to keep things running smoothly in the office. She insists that anything happening with him must be kept very secret. She can’t stand the idea of being the laughingstock of the company again for a failed workplace affair, nor the idea of losing a man she’s come to count on to be always at her beck and call, keeping the office running smoothly. This makes for some interesting and intense scenes as the power dynamic from boss/assistant to Dom/sub shifts back and forth.

Dane’s character is complex. On the surface, he’s a calm man, always in control of himself, a man who loves nothing better than helping a woman submit and the pleasure it brings them both. But the truth is that there are deep cracks in that façade. His dream of being a firefighter like his father and brother died when his brother was lost in a house fire. His mother, reeling with grief, moved him away from his father into the city, insisting he get a ‘safe’ office job. He might be good at it, but deep down he hates it. The only thing that keeps him sane is his weekends where he throws himself into adventure daredevil sports like bungee jumping to give him those brief moments to let go of everything but feeling alive. If he lets go of control there, he gains it back in the bedroom with a woman on her knees. Everything in between, including his job with Lexie, is just counted off time until the next time he can be fully in control of what he wants.

The author is very adept at writing deep point of view and it shows in the crafting of this story, with both Dane and Lexie’s thoughts and feelings keeping the reader fully engaged. The one thing that niggles at me (and caused me to lower the grade slightly) is the age of the characters. Lexie took over her father’s company at the age of twenty-three, making her now twenty-four or twenty-five. That’s a pretty young age to be in charge of a multi-national corporation, but then it’s a family business thrust into her hands through no fault of her own and she had no choice but to take charge, so I just about bought that. But taking that as read, Dane’s age and character didn’t quite match for me either. He’s supposedly twenty-six, but his self-assurance as a Dom, his experience, his whole demeanour rings as a man who is at least thirty. I had to dismiss their respective ages from my mind when reading the story.

Apart from that, I really enjoyed this story. In fact, I enjoyed it so much, I’ve already re-read it which, given the number of books on my to-read shelf, is a huge point in its favor and makes it a Desert Isle Keeper in my eyes. The conflict as Dane and Lexie struggle to redefine their working relationship and their new personal one makes for a page turning read and leads to a well-deserved happy ending. I would not hesitate to recommend this novel to anyone who enjoys BDSM romances. Nine Kinds of Naughty delivers an intense and steamy romance with strong and likable characters who find that being in control and letting go can be equally rewarding.

Well, Jeanette Grey has done it again. She's written characters and a story that sucked me in and made me fall in love with them.

I knew Lexie Bellamy would be a great character. She's strong and smart and has it going on. But Lexie has so much going on, trying to control everything and prove her worth, that she doesn't know how to let go. And in steps her assistant, Dane. Dane works so well with Lexie, but the corporate world is not his dream. On the weekends, he lets loose to regain a piece of himself by doing outdoorsy adventure stuff and by participating in BDSM sex. Dane recognizes what Lexie needs and proceeds to show her.

HOT. That one word describes this. Lexie and Dane were both strong characters who both showed a vulnerable side that they each tried to hide. They had this push and pull with just the right amount of angst. I loved it!

- Very ambivalent about this one because it had a much larger focus on sex and BDSM aspects.
- Because of that, I felt the romantic progression was lacking.
- BUT it had very good character growth and dialogue (especially on the consent front) that I appreciated.
- I wasn't a big fan of Dane. Nice guy I guess? But while Lexie had a great learning curve and felt real, I was meh about him.

I think this would have been better if it had gotten another book! Normally I won't say that, but unlike Rylan/Kate's story in the first two books of the series (I love those two books), I think the psychological/emotional bond was not as well developed in the span of one book as those two. And even those two had to break up at the end of the first book and work out their issues through the second. And I think Lexie and Dane deserved that too. So it felt a bit rushed. THAT SAID, I did really love Lexie as a character, and Dane was a fairly solid hero.

Lexie's abandonment issues felt very real, and it hit very hard and when that was the part that made her RUN in the climax of the book, it hurt! So that was good. But I really think the book could have done with fleshing that out more, and especially with Dane's issues. I think Dane didn't get as much character development as I'd like, and especially I didn't really fully understand why he fell in love with Lexie even though I BELIEVED he was in love with her? Does that make sense?

The sex was amazing of course, super kinky and dirty. I felt like one or two of them could've been cut out to explore the characters' personal struggles and relationship though.

Nine Kinds of Naughty was a nice twist on the workplace romance trope, in which the woman is the boss and the man her assistant. Think The Proposal, but hotter. And with BDSM. ;) At work, Lexie was in control. Outside of work? She gave that control up to Dane... and they both loved it. So did I.

Jeanette's writing is addictive. She has a style all her own and I inhale her words like they're the air I need to breathe. I really liked both Lexie and Dane. The sexy times were hot AF, but there was more to their story than that. The romance was so freaking good. I was solidly behind these two and loved every minute of their story. I even got some feels I didn't expect. Excellent read!

AudioBook Review:
Stars: Overall 4 Narration 5 Story 4

The first I’ve listened to from this Author/Narrator pairing, Lexie is a determined, bold woman: able to deal with the most difficult situations that the boardroom can produce. Interpersonally, however, she is a bit of a train wreck: her dominant personality in the boardroom doesn’t translate to relationships, and the end is always a catastrophe. She’s understandably reluctant to take yet another chance on a relationship, so her life feels unbalanced, but she’s also not about to add yet another item to her plate at the moment. Work is crazy busy, and the acquisition of a Spanish company will require hours and travel. But, her control and capable management style is hard won, and with the return of her brother to the helm bringing those ‘you’re not quite enough’ feelings from her family dynamic, she’s ready to head out and fight fires elsewhere.

Lexie’s assistant Dane is competent, charismatic and drop dead gorgeous, but Lexi is less concerned about his ability to perform the job than being alone with hi, in Spain, for an extended time. Dane is happy to serve as Lexi’ second in the boardroom, but knows that underneath it all is a woman who needs to learn to relinquish control. And while this PA job isn’t his dream, and he still want to be a firefighter, the death of his brother and his attraction to his boss have him heading to Spain with a plan in mind.

Grey’s writing is solid and clear: the characters arrive and reveal themselves and their motivations fairly quickly, and the snappy dialogue helps to define the dynamics in play. And make no mistake, power is a large character in this story: the holding, wielding, surrender, sharing and even the desire for become a palpable and definable presence in the story, giving a more realistic look at the fluidity of the dynamic, much as one would see in real life.

Narration for this story is provided by Julia Duvall, and she fits the narrative voice for Lexi near perfectly. Hesitations where needed, edges applied when appropriate, Lexi was clearly present in all of her moments, with the subtle shifts to indicate the underlying emotion. Her clear switch to Dane and the other characters made each unique and distinct, it was easy to recognize and visualize each one. A wonderful performance that combined the author’s words and allowed the story to come alive. And be aware – this is an erotic title – so the steam, the interplay and the descriptions are hot, sensual and will steal your breath away.

I received an AudioBook copy of the title from Hachette Audio for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

Dane and Lexie are a great pair. They really seem to complete the empty parts of each other.

*spoilers below*

This is the first book I've read or tried to read that got quite a bit about the lifestyle, the rules, emotions, and the feeling behind the player's need, correct. subspace was pretty well fleshed out and a Dom's need to take care of his sub was even explored. Bravo for research. Someone finally did some. Kudos, Jeanette Grey.

When I started this book, I didn't know if I would finish it. It had an interesting enough premise and the dynamic of the female boss/ male subordinate in this scenario was enough of a change of pace that I eagerly placed the book in my cart. However, the sex started so quickly, I thought it would be another of those rush to the finish, race to get published books. I was wrong. The relationship started so early because the dynamics of them learning to navigate said relationship took some time. And Jeanette Grey took the time to flesh the relationship out.

Actually quite enjoyed this read. I liked that everything the hero and heroine touched didn't turn to gold. They were just people and had their ups and down. They had faults. They had failures. I especially enjoyed the fact that the heroine, who you just know is going to fall apart as fast as her deal and implode the relationship, doesn't. She takes the lessons she learned and actually applies them.

The thing that really does give them their "break up to get back together fight" doesn't exactly blindside the reader but is surprising in that it is something real and emotional, (not a petty "you made me lose the contract by distracting me" thing) and personal to the H/h. It wasn't the usual, she's overemotional or he's a horrible person breakup. It was more real than that, based on hang ups the two had going into the relationship, hang-ups that scarred deeper than a few weeks in Spain or California were going to heal. They were both overemotional and wrong and needed a step back to see it.

While the sex was hot, well-imagined, and gratuitous, I like that the couple really spent time getting to know one another. They asked questions and did stuff together to get to know one another and please each other and not just as a pre-cursor to more sex. Many books create two people, add lots of sex, we assume there's pillow talk then, viola! They're in love! Sometimes you don't get to see the actual falling, the getting to know you and especially with two people with previous knowledge of each other.

Dane and Lexie are still your formulaic beautiful, rich people jetting off to exotic climes and caught up in or hating their work. However enough is different about them to make it interesting. While not the most spectacular read I've ever experienced, this is a solid good read. If you have a spare afternoon, give it a try.

Love,
Valentine

The Art of Passion Series is a new one for me. It’s been quite a while since I’ve read a romance novel with BDSM themes, but I have say, once I read this book, I was reminded why I enjoy reading those types of books. They are stories built on trust, romance and love. And yes, these types of books are filled with lots of sex, but you know what, it’s nice to get swept up in a story that’s out of your norm.

Now, I know I’m jumping here at the third book, but the good news is, this book/series can be read as a stand-alone.

Nine Kinds of Naughty is intriguing, sexy and utterly captivating. This story will suck you in and the chemistry between Lexi and Dane just burns up the pages. Nine Kinds of Naughty is sexy as hell and will leave you breathless. This story will push your limits and keep you begging for more.

Nine Kinds of Naughty was a fantastic read. It was incredibly well written and entertaining. The characters are intriguing and keep you coming back for more. I loved the romance of the story and the incredibly steamy, sexy moments.

Jeanette Gray is a new author to me and I have to say, I am super excited to read more from her in the future.

I have to give up reading a little over half way in. I bought this because I liked the previous two books well enough (the first a lot more than the second.) But I didn't realize this would be a love story told through BDSM. It is doing exactly zilch for me. It's rare that I don't finish a book, but I am so bored and distanced from the story and the characters.

Nine Kinds of Naughty is the third book in the Art of Passion series by Jeanette Grey, but it is easily read as a standalone story. I haven't read the previous books in the series, but I didn't have any problems understanding this one. There was a lot I enjoyed about this book, and I think that if you are looking for something sexy and steamy that also has some substance this is one definitely worth checking out.

Lexie Bellamy is used to ruling the boardroom, but has less than stellar luck when it comes to relationships. But when a business trip puts her in a position of spending one on one time with her sexy coworker, she finds herself in trouble. Especially since Dane Huntley is determined to show Lexie that while she might be his boss, he is more than capable of taking charge in the bedroom. Can Dane convince Lexie that their relationship works once they return home though, or will Lexie fight him every step of the way?

I found the dynamic between these two to be really interesting. Lexie is used to being in charge, so she doesn't let go of control easily. She had trouble trusting, and it was hard for her to let Dane command her at times. But I really enjoyed seeing their roles reverse between work and the bedroom. Dane was easy to like, and I loved that there was more to him than you first see and he wasn't your stereotypical hero. It was refreshing to see a romance where the hero and the heroine each had positions of power, rather than just the hero being super alpha and ruling every aspect of their lives. These two were sexy and had a ton of chemistry to go along with their growing connection.

Overall, this was a really good story and Jeanette Grey is definitely an author to watch. I enjoyed the characters and Jeanette's writing style, and I am looking forward to reading more from her in the future. This might have been the first book that I have read from her, but it won't be my last. I will warn readers that they do delve a bit into the BDSM scene here, but it was done in a tasteful way that I think most readers will be okay with. Even if that isn't your favorite, I think that this one is worth the read and taking a chance on.

description

I’ve read the previous two books of this series, about Kate and Rylan, Seven Nights to Surrender & Eight Ways to Ecstasy, so when I saw this one was available on netgalley, I requested it, because I had really enjoyed the other ones. Also, because in book 2 there’s a chapter about Lexie, and her relationship with her assistant Dane intrigued me.

WITH THAT SAID, I HAD NO CLUE THAT THIS BOOK WAS ABOUT BDSM.

Once again, I found Jeanette Grey’s writing amazing. The book is told in dual POV, and her writing style is almost lyrical. It’s beautiful.

I really liked both main characters. Lexie, who thought she was never good enough and that always tried her hardest, especially at her job – which was her live. And then Dane, who was stuck in a life he didn’t want and had no control over, and who so desperately just wanted to be himself. They both go through an amazing evolution.

I really liked the overall plot of the book, and how Dane taught Lexie how to relinquish control, at least in a part of her life, and how he gained himself in the process. I loved the falling out, it was perfect and so on point with the characters.

So… why am I only giving this book 3.5 stars? To sum it up, BDSM is not for me, and it’s definitly something I do not like to read about.

I have to praise Grey here, because I think she did an amazing job with all the scenes, and I gained an understanding of it that I didn’t previously have (and it seems like she did it right enough, according to some websites). I liked that things were explained. But I just can’t stand it.

I understand the principal and the importance of the elements for the people involved. I do! I just cringed each time I was reading about Lexie’s submission. Some elements I could get on board with, but others were just… no, not for me. Sorry…

Either way, it is a good erotica book, and I think that if you don’t mind reading about BDSM, you will thoroughly enjoy this one. It has great writing and great characters and loads and loads of sex.

Jeanette Grey is a somewhat new author to me. I just recently read Let It Snow and am glad to read yet another great story!!

Lexie Bellamy is the definition of a strong, independent boss lady. She’s extremely smart and has so much going on trying to have control and prove her worth, Lexie hasn’t just let go in some time. She is bound and determined to show her brother that she is perfectly capable of running their company.

Dane Huntley is an extreme thrill seeker trying to mask the pain of losing his brother. Dane is playing work life safe for his mother, working as Lexie’s assistant even though the corporate world is just not for him. Dane knows Lexie desperately needs to lose control and he wants to be the one to show her how. But how exactly do you get your boss to explore the BDSM lifestyle with you?

Nine Kinds of Naughty was EXACTLY that…so very naughty. Lexie and Dane are both strong characters who try to keep their vulnerability close to the vest. Their chemistry, in and out of the bedroom, is very sexy. Now, there is A LOT of BDSM which I thought might make me a little uncomfortable (it’s just not my thing) but I feel that the storyline was done very tastefully. I kind honestly say that Jeanette Grey has changed my mind about the BDSM storyline. I loved the fact that Lexie was the boss and that Dane was the assistant out in the professional world. Yet in private, Lexie was the one doing the submitting. The role switching really peaked my interest and made the story very appealing to me.

Though there is A LOT of sex, I enjoyed watching Dane and Lexie build their relationship based on trust. I loved how it evolved into something more and how Lexie learned to let go.

There are two other books in the Art of Passion Series which do not have to be read to follow this book. However, I will definitely be checking the rest of the series out!

This is one of the most sensual, sexy and irresistible romances that I have read to date. I could not put it down and finished it in an afternoon!

Woah. I mean, I knew I liked Jeanette Grey's writing from the previous two books in this story, and (even though I had my doubts about Lexie's story topping Ryland's) I was so not disappointed.

In fact, I think this was one of the absolute best romance books I've read in a while.

Right from the beginning, I got hit in the feels. Lexie is breaking her back to make sure the family company stays afloat. She comes to work early and leaves late, giving the company everything she has. But she gets no recognition for it and everyone writes her off because she's a female. She's frustrated and, in many ways, a little broken because of it all crushing down on her.

That's where Dane comes in. As her PA, it's his job to make her life easier. But with the simmering feelings between them growing, Dane knows he can teach Lexie a few things about slowing down and enjoying life.

It does go into BDSM (which might be expected from some of the wording in the blurb), but I thought the whole story was sweet. It wasn't about D/s so much as it was about respect and love, which D/s books don't normally cover this well. I mean, Dane literally has no problem with Lexie bossing him around in the office, but he can flip that switch as soon as they're alone. Dane's not an alpha "my way or the highway" type. To him, dominating is about looking after Lexie's needs and helping her see what she's generally been ignoring.

I truly had a hard time putting this book down whenever I had to. Between all the steamy scenes and the growing fondness for each other, there was a lot that kept pulling me back in. I liked the plot, I loved the characters, and I seriously hope that (someday??) there may be more books in this series. If not, then I need to start reading some of her other books.

Lexie is one tough CEO she is about work all the time sometimes barely eating or sleeping she has to make the firm succeed. Her family is a fractured as it could be with her father going to jail and her brother Evan at school to be an artist and she had to beg her brother Rylan to come back to be in charge. Lexie is a force and her assistant Dane is right on the money when she needs him and really good to look at but Lexie can't be with him after what happened with Jordan.
Dane is suffering threw this job and even though the money and looking at Ms Bellamy all day is great it's not where he wants to be. He wants to be a firefighter like his father and his dad but after his brother died in a fire his mom took him from Montana to New York and forbid him to get a risky job. So now he is an assistant to the CEO and she just told him he has to go to Spain with her for a while. He lives for his weekends and what's he gonna do in Spain.
When Lexie and Dane leave on the company jet for Spain, Dane finally gets his hands in Lexie in the form of a back rub. It seems Dane always knows what she needs before she does and even before she would consider anything with him she has to be able to trust him. This story focuses on building trust in another human being when everyone has let you down. I think that watching Lexie turn into someone else has made this my favorite so far and seeing how Dane learns a few things about himself makes it perfect!

Jeanette Grey's skilled writing and prose make NINE KINDS OF NAUGHTY what it is. And what it is, is an erotic story woven around two vivid characters who are magnetized to one another. Erotic because the emotions crawled out of the pages and gave substance to each scene--and it was about so much more than falling between the sheets.

The dynamic of a female boss and her male assistant at work, and the sub to her Dom outside of the office made this story fiery hot and irresistible. Dane and Lexie's relationship spun in many different ways, had to take the form of many different things, but underneath it all was their soul-deep connection. With each character inhabiting two different sides of themselves, one for work and one for home, Grey perfectly created the dance between Lexie and Dane, and the dance between each side of their own selves. In-office romances are great, but I loved the added dimension of who they were outside of the workplace and how it added another layer to them as a couple.

I haven't read the rest of the series, as this book stands on its own, but am very interested in backtracking in order to do so. Grey has a great storytelling style and characters that are poignant and real. NINE KINDS OF NAUGHTY explores the dynamics of control and carries us into a great love story at the same time--one that enraptures and gets your heart racing.

Hello Hot!
Shew!
Steam upon steam!
I was desperately on edge wanting to know what was going to happen and see more of this colossal couple collide.
There are personal struggles, checked pasts and a good dose a drama and angst.
Both fight for control over every aspect of their lives. Seeking different aspects to have their own grasp.
Can one give up control in a specific way to the other and have a lead taken to be at the other's will?
You will not be disappointed in finding this out.
This is a well thought out, written and delivered ertic read. I was pleasantly surprised to find this new reader offer a read right up my alley - a dark and steamy alley.

This was an absolutely fun, sexy, hot, wicked, and naughty read that brought not only love, lust, romance but also trust into this lovely read. Lexie and Dane work together and in the boardroom Lexie is the boss. Lexie is a strong and independent woman and can and does keep control of all things in business. However, after hours her assistant Dane has recognized she may need to let go and submit to her desires and good thing he is just the one to be there for her.

I came into this series on this book and did not feel lost and would deem this a standalone.

The story was steamy 5/5. The way the author described BDSM and how she introduced the style was very detailed, I enjoyed it very much.

As an author myself, I LOVED her way of writing. God, it’s precious.

The only reason I gave the book a 4/5 is because the twist of the story—even though unexpected—wasn’t a real twist or something that needed to be worked for to be fixed. I really liked that in this case the FMC was the one who was wrong, yet there was more room to cover or maybe other complex issues that would have their relationship scramble.

Overall, my first book of this author and I really enjoyed it. :)

I read a preview of this book which was included in Let It Snow and I was pulled into wanting the whole book immediately. Fortunately, the BDSM parts were not in the preview because that might have cooled any further interest for me in reading.
I really liked the main characters, Lexie and Dane and the story was well written. As for fantasy romance, one of the few reads that I can say was a believable possibility. (Sigh)
Well worth the read!

I read this series after I read Fifty Shades of Grey trilogy. They were perfect and just want it was looking for. If you need another trilogy to move onto I would suggest reading Rush and the other two following. They are so good!

The book started off strong and I really enjoyed seeing the relationship develop. Especially with the personality complexities. The spice was also extremely good. However, once I got half way through, the book started to drag. It was a good read, but I feel it could have been a shorter, more concise book.

This book disappointed me. I like strong intimidating hero in my stories and I just felt like he wasn't a strong intimidating hero in this story. I liked the story line and finally we have a female boss and the man underling, it still upset me how they just quickly moved.
