This is an illustrated children’s book that is just adorable! Praxx’s chores are to clean up and care for his pets. But apparently he asked Zobott to do that for him. When Zobott woke him up with all sorts of strange clanking noises, he investigated inside Zobott’s storage box and found his pet Ribbit, a “frog” which Zobott had “tidied up” for him! He reached in again when the noises continued, and he found his Mum’s Chatterbott “phone”, another victim of the tidying process! Even Praxx’s alarm clock was in there – the reason Praxx had overslept this morning.
Things got more and more exciting as Zobott’s tidying caused further troubles for the family! Has Praxx learned his lesson yet about doing his own chores and the importance of doing them well?
This is such a cute read that young children and parents can laugh and share the adventure together. It’s perfect! It could be a starting point for challenging the young reader/listener to imagine other such results of letting someone inexperienced do what you should be doing. A great thinking tool! I definitely recommend this book to parents to fill reading time or bedtime with laughter. I voluntarily reviewed this book and my comments reflect my honest opinion.
Praxx lives on a planet far from Earth with his mother. He has a robot named Zobott. Praxx dislikes cleaning up around the house so he frequently depends on his robot to clean for him. That doesn't always work out well.
In this tale, Zobott misplaces mom's phone, removes the alarm clock, puts a worm in mom's purse, and parks a rocket in the house instead of in the garage. Praxx must undo all the damage and clean up himself. Will he learn a lesson? The reader may be confused as Praxx asks Zobott to help him clean up once more.
This book is targetted for very young children. The illustrations are simple and the amount of text limited. I think young children may be confused about the lesson of the tale.
Short illustrated life lesson story that should have ended a page shorter?! May 23, 2018 Format: Kindle Edition 3.75 stars The illustrations are cute and the main theme was a good life lesson for kids about doing their chores and the pitfalls of taking the easy way out. I did think that the last page left a mixed message (take responsibility and do your chores right UNLESS your parents are not looking?!). It might have been a bit of tongue in cheek humor, but would a child pick up on that? Without that last page I would have rated it higher.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
This was a really cute book. I sat my three year old down and I read it through once. He didn't talk, he didn't walk away. He was completely focused on the story. So much so, he wanted me to read it a second time. Even my 9 year old autistic son loved it. He loves that aliens and robots have to clean their rooms, too.
🤓📚💖 I was gifted with an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review. 💖📚🤓
I received this book as part of an ARC review. I like the message of responsibility that the book imparts. The artwork is quite good. Praxx does learn he should do the chores he's assigned so that they can be done right instead of passing it to someone else to do. However it does caution the children need to be supervised so they continue to do what they have learned.
This is a great Children’s book. The illustrations are brilliant - from the pet Ribbit to the chatterbot - you get to enter the fun world of Praxx and his Robot Zobott and follow Praxx learning a lesson about doing chores! Highly recommend
What an adorable story and characters! The cover is bright and eye catching. A great story about robots that teach kids about doing your chores and doing them correctly.
I was gifted an ARC in return of an honest review.
Good color artwork. Freebie. Suitable for small children learning to read. Take of an alien who orders his robot to do his chores and then has to redo them himself.
Great story! The book is about Praxx doing his chores, which is mostly putting things away properly. He finds out that using his robot wasn’t the best choice. It was fun to read all the chores he was suppose to do, but instead didn’t be responsible to do it himself.
My son and I enjoyed this book as we read it as a bedtime story. This was ideal for me as we’re trying to teach him to be more responsible and to do things proper the first time.
In this book an alien named Praxx Is supposed to do some jobs, but he is very lax. His best friend, Zobott does the chores instead But something's wrong when Praxx is woken from his bed. The story was predictable, but written in such a way You knew what would happen, but not what they would say. The pictures were fantastic and totally out of this world But the text was missing something as the story unfurled. Throughout the whole book the message was strong Praxx should have done the jobs as Zobott got it wrong Set on an alien planet somewhere in the galaxy Owlbert awards this book, Praxx, a star rating of three.
A beautifully written book about an alien who doesn't like to do his chores and as a result ends up with chaos in the house. Great illustrations and an enjoyable, easy read. Great to show how badly it could go wrong getting others to do what you are meant to. Fun little read.
My son received this book along with a few others for Christmas. This is definately his new favourite. The story is engaging and funny and the illustrations are bright and full of surprises.
Pictures are colorful and the text is large enough to see/read on my phone. The main character learns a lesson to pick up when he is told to do so. Not sure if toddlers will pick up on the subtle moral in the story (Target reading level is ages 2-6) but whoever is reading the story to the toddler can expand on the message over time.
Kindle Unlimited but must have gotten it from one of my freebie sites linking to amazon on a free day. Nice illustrations and all that but here and there, especially the last line, mmmm, no; basically was if never truly learned anything.
