The Intentional Parent: Parenting on Purpose When Life Gets Busy

Rate this book
Distraction and busy-ness are at an all-time high and have become a cultural norm in our society, says Susan Seay, a Mentor for Moms, mother of 7, author, speaker, and voice of hope to moms and families around the globe. Distracted parents tend to live in a constant state of reaction to a life that’s coming at them fast and hard. They rarely experience the peace and joy of parenting that they desperately seek. Often many are ashamed to admit just how tough things are for them, for fear of being the only one who’s struggling. The good news is there’s hope. Every parent can make the shift from distracted to intentional. By focusing on being intentional and purpose-driven, parents will not only experience the joy they deserve, but they can release their entire family to experience their God-given potential. Within this book you will find tools and principles that have helped hundreds of moms. Seay will show you exactly what it means to be an intentional parent even when life gets busy. With each page you will feel the stress and pressure release it’s grip from you and an inner sense of purpose rising up within. The Intentional Parent is easy to read and full of simple truths that speaks to today's busy parents.

Quick read for busy moms, chock full of parenting wisdom without the guilt of having to implement it all. Susan does a great job of emphasizing that our families are each unique, so we should only do what is ours to do without comparison. This book gets to the core of how to be an intentional parent. And the chapters are all very short so you can read them in between diaper changes or meal prep!
