After darkness consumes Krissa, is there any hope for salvation? When Krissa disappears to join the Amaranthine, Fox knows he has to save her. But the magical world beyond Clearwater is more dangerous than he can imagine, and even with Sasha’s help, locating Krissa can have deadly consequences. With time running out before the Amaranthine achieve eternal life and become invulnerable, Fox and Sasha must team up with a menacing group with a fearsome reputation if they hope to find their friend. But locating Krissa isn’t enough. If they can’t remove the darkness from within her the Amaranthine will unleash an immortal assassin on the world. Killing Krissa may be the only alternative, but is that a line Fox is willing to cross?
WHEN I SAY THIS WAS A BANGER FINALE BOOK I MEAN IT The whole series over all has been a series of liking and disliking the books Because there was a little too much teenage melo drama happening in there CALM DOWN KRISSA But this one really stood out because of way this was led If I would re read one of the books from the series it’s this one
A solid ending to the series and I actually think I would say if you don't mind a bit of excessive teen melodrama, the series is worth reading. I'm pleased with how the Fox story line gets resolved, though I would have liked them to all go back to Clearwater, but maybe that's just me.
This one is getting dark, dark and interesting, dark and exhilirating. Just when you think all hope is gone, everyone is moved on, no one is there for the girl who tried her best for everyone, you find out that the grudges made have been forgotton and what was there before is still HERE. Yeah this one has multiple POVs too but I love how in this one, all the POVs seem to, merge peacefully, not like the last book where they had little correlation and had things repeated over this one had us learn new things in every POV. Still reading it and had to get up to calm my emotions coz I AM LOVING ITT. High expectations for how this one ends!
Edit. (the same evening as started the review) Finished the book and HOW I LOVEDDDD ITT. The ending, the story, the fun, the tears. Every character of this book has changed from how they began. Everyone had character development and... darkness. But loved how it all turned out in the end.
Well, it's not quite the way I hoped the series would end, and there were a couple of things left unexplained, but it was quite riveting. And I just found a Christmas novella for the series, so maybe it will tie up some loose ends. Be warned that it's gory and there is some sexual content.
As the last book in the Clearwater series, this one definitely had a darker feel to it. If you've kept up with the series, you'll know that's not really a surprise but there was an awful lot more gore than I expected. It wasn't nonsensical or poorly written so it goes with the way the plot and characters have evolved but still, it's a lot.
Although the characters and their POV chapters continue to develop well, I am once again slightly disappointed that their weren't more characters talking and we only got to see the story from the same few points of view.
Overall, I loved the book, loved the series, and I'm looking forward to finding and reading more by this author. Whether you're a young adult or or someone who just loves paranormal stories and romance, you'll love Madeline Freeman and all the Clearwater Witches books1
To be honest, there were times in the series I had trouble keeping the cast of characters straight. The story itself was engrossing and I enjoyed it, even when it became a bit convoluted. As for Fox and Owen, that was a hard call for me. I liked both of them. This final book is intense, emotional and well written. The ending satisfies and the promise of future stories albeit with new characters. Happy to have this series in my library. Madeleine you tell a very good story and I admire the fact that you write "clean". Thank you for that.
I got bored and started reading the first book....and couldn't stop until I finished the book series. I'll be looking for more from this author in the future.
I just finished the Clearwater Witch Series. It was great! I'm sad there is no more books. The books are fun, and action packed and suspenseful. They also show u not to take anything or anyone for granted. U never know when it will be taken away.
I absolutely adore these Clearwater books! This is actually one of my favorite teen series! After waiting almost a year, I'm finally finished with this series! This book is just as good as the previous ones-I just could not put it down! This book might just be my favorite because there was so much more adventure and it was so suspenseful! As always, the author gave us the point of view of several of her main characters which is amazing-keeping the characters straight was no issue because I was able connect with so much of them. Needless to say, Freeman does an awesome job with her character development. I'm kind of sad that this series is over!
