I found myself reaching for other books and materials to understand subjects introduced here. The format is quite dry too so not particularly engaging but still readable . Quality fades in last chapters with some typos and a few mistakes in diagrams.
Structure of book does not lend itself to use if you want a quick introduction to electronics for practical use. However, once I’d quenched that thirst elsewhere, I enjoyed reading the historical back story in this book and welcomed the suggested circuits and components.
In conclusion: would not be my first choice for an introductory book but it did help as a complementary source of knowledge.
