"Last night I broke into a house, got caught, and devised a plan. Today, it was time to put the plan in motion."

Parker Grey seems like an average seventeen-year-old. Working part time, going to school and volunteering her time is all just part of another day.

But Parker has a secret.

When her grandfather is in danger of losing his house, Parker concocts a plan that will not only obliterate her grandfather's debts, but could also land her in jail.

As moral lines blur, Parker finds out just how far she will go for those she loves.

I really enjoyed this series. It's like a cross between the old show Veronica Mars and a Janet Evanovich novel. There's a lot going on but it ties together nicely. Fun characters, easy read, and it takes a weaving walk along moral lines.

Parker Grey is intelligent, funny and loyal to her friends and family. She's involved in so many activities, yet she finds time for one more- stealing from the rich to help those in need. Though she's a modern day Robin Hood, there's so much more to the story- namely, where she defends juveniles in court cases. This book has a little bit of everything: humor, crime, law and detective work (and let's not forget the love interests!)

I think Parker is a cool character, but this book was really slow for me and there were so many detAils about her life that ended just not having a significance, so I was a bit bored. Also, as a paralegal student I really loved that there was this program where Parker could solve cases like N attorney, however, I was distracted by the reality of the court scene with this student who I’m not even sure was a legal Adult in these adult positions. There’s supposed to be a licensed attorney over seeing the case and it was not written into the story, yet every other small detail was? This was too distracting that I ended up not finishing this one.

This was a fun book. I definitely get the Veronica Mars vibes from this. Parker was a fun charter. Not completely realistic (I don't think she would of really made it through so many of the situations in the book unscathed...), but that made it more fun. I'm curious to see what happens in the next book.
Thank you Goodreads for the digital copy that I received through one of their giveaways.

Loved this first Parker Grey! It's a fun, easy read and I couldn't wait to start the next one. Parker is an intelligent, funny main character and I love how silly she is with Nikki. There are also some interesting romantic possibilities...

I kept thinking; this girl has everything for her and then she's going to get arrested? Wow. It was a very thrilling book, and it was addictive :)
