Wow... just wow. This story was just amazing... the suspense, the mystery and the really cool Mechs! The author does an amazing job of telling a complete and satisfying adventure in less than 100 pages. I love his characters and the world he has created. A more than worthwhile read and I can't wait till the next Inspector Ambrose mystery is ready to be released!

This wasn't my favorite of the series, but I still found it very entertaining and worth my time. The plot is fun, our inspector duo (and sister) visit the former mansion of an eccentric mech collector... and of course wind up in a labyrinthine dungeon full of puzzles. It was a bit too short to really develop anything, so the tension wasn't really there when it should be. However, the characters are great (need more Felicity for sure!), and the worldbuilding over the course of the series has been solid.

This was a great little tale that would intrigue any adventurer! I like a bit of mystery every now and then!!! I think that a Tween or Young Adult would greatly appreciate this story! Felicity was my favorite character! Proving that just because you are a woman does not mean that you are not capable of besting a man! Or four in this case! She was fun and witty but I really hope that she learns how to cook! :) Look out Assanian's Guild! Its death by dinner served at the hand of Felicity!

I read this story for the first time 6 years ago and waited for more books. Unfortunately, the author appeared to never publish again.
This series has left so many unanswered questions and so much unexplained. They've been good stories, if a little rough. I really hate when this happens.

Never a dull moment when it comes to the escapades of inspector Ambrose, his assistant Percy and this time they are joined by his sister Felicity. How should I describe the Ambrosian world? Think of Sherlock Holmes, David Copperfield, Frank Herbert's Dune and Ridley Scott's Blade Runner. The Clockwork Dungeon has everything: comedy, suspense and action! Looking forward to read more books from the talented mr Laking!
