Even better than Assassins!

This is the 2nd book in this series, and it's even better than the first. I remember comparing the first to AD&D, and this still is extremely reminiscent of the game. It also reminds me of Lord of the Rings. It's resplendent with myth and dwarves and elves! I love these creatures and their different mythical worlds and lives, and i love seeing how each author finds ways to bring them to life. In the first book, we encountered men, and i suspect the next we will again, but not so much here. Which was just fine... the dwarves and elves were fantastic and amazing! I truly enjoyed this book, read it in just a couple if sittings, and highly recommend it as must-read material for all fantasy lovers!!

Compelling Story

I gave it 5 stars even tho at times the story drags without enough imagery or action to hold my interest, and just when I think the plot has skinnied out—-boom—-I’m sucked back in. It truly is a good read... ready for book 3
