Logan is a smart tech guy who loves playing and making video games. Along with his twin sister, they take on the gaming community to fight against the sexist way in which women are depicted in many of these games. He becomes worried for himself and his sister when they begin seeing negative backlash against them for their stance on women. He finds Julian Quinn, a famous Hollywood director, who gives him sound business advice. Despite the fact that Logan has decided to focus on his career instead of finding love, he develops a close friendship with Julian that he wishes could grow into more.

Julian is a famous director, and one of the hottest gay bachelors in Hollywood. He can have any man he wants, but he is not interested in a relationship with anyone. That was until he met Logan. He grew to care about Logan before they ever met in person, through their conversations and emails. When he finally takes the leap to visit Logan he knew immediately that this time would be different. There was something about Logan that he wanted, not just for a quick fling, but for the long haul. When Logan gets attacked Julian realizes how unpredictable life can be and decides right away that the love he has for Logan is more important than Hollywood and all of the money in the world.

This book just didn't do it for me. I normally do really enjoy a quick read when I am looking for something to fill a small bit of time, so the length isn't an issue. But, that being said, I do think that this was a GREAT idea for a story and probably would have benefited by being novel length so that there could be some development. I just never had the time needed to get to know or care about the characters. As a avid female gamer myself, I totally get the storyline here. And I really appreciate the effort to make a statement with this plot. Again, this was a good story idea that would have been better off longer and more developed. One small final note: I don't think this should have the word "erotica" in the title. What little love/sex scenes there were were very bland and definitely NOT of the erotica variety. So, if you're looking or a book with heat, this is not it.

DNF @ 9% - 04.09.24

This is probably the quickest I have DNF a book - 3 pages in. A personal pet peeve that I can get passed - inconstancy

Dude is distracting by threats on Twitter but sister is scrolling those threats on FB - which one is it.

“Logan … Logan, what’s wrong?” Maggie was shaking my arm trying to get me to look away from my phone, but my focus was stuck on the most recent threats on our foundation’s Twitter feed.”

“When her attempts to get my attention failed, my sister grabbed my phone out of my hand and began scrolling through my Facebook feed to see what had me so distracted. “Oh my God, Logan. This shit is really getting out of hand.”

The book seems like a promising one in the beginning. However, it is quite a little bit disappointing in the end because the conflict is flat and Logan starts to get so clingy with Quinn. I am reading MM to avoid the books with the heroine who experience the Cinderella syndrome in which they get so clingy after their first sexual encounter but well...

The author prolly can add some more spicy conflict to this book, like the self denial, the issues about gay, and many more.

Sweet in warped speed

The whole story was rushed through and over before you knew it. You get to enjoy some sweetness but if you blink you might miss it. I do love the cover..very intimate
