Mistletoe Mountain

Rate this book
All I want for Christmas is Everett & Evie!

When I go out to chop down a Christmas tree the last thing I expect to find is woman caught in a snowstorm. But there she is, lost and alone. And f*cking gorgeous. I take her home with me — my cabin will warm her up … and so will I. Meeting her was serendipity… and letting her go isn’t an option. But her life isn’t built around Mistletoe Mountain the way mine is.

This mountain man is hoping for a Christmas miracle.

Darling Reader,
This story is like a candy cane. You’ll wanna keep licking this mountain man. The cover may be sweet, but Everett and Evie are sugar & spice and naughty & nice! ;)

May your days be merry and bright.

Mistletoe Mountain is book #3.6 in The Mountain Man series by Frankie Love.

Evie is single and lives in the city. She works from home, writing an on-line blog. She spends her free time partying with her friends and socializing. She leads a busy life and she thinks she is fulfilled. It’s right before Christmas and she wants to collect the perfect pine boughs to make wreaths to hand out to her neighbors but she is caught in a snow storm and loses her way. She has no idea how she will get to safety until a real live mountain man finds her.

Everett has lived on Mistletoe Mountain for five years. He’s made a life for himself here and has worked hard at being able to be self-sustaining. He goes into town about every other month for supplies but for the most part, he has what he needs. He has to admit, though, that he does get lonely. He decides to make an attempt to find a Christmas tree for his cabin and is walking through the woods when he comes upon Evie. She’s cold and scared. He feels instantly protective of this woman. This Christmas is looking brighter already.

“But God, woman, my life would be incomplete if I hadn’t had the chance to see you. To see this. Evie, you are perfection.”

Everett makes his living writing books. He and Evie have more in common than they thought. But their lifestyles are completely opposite. Evie loves being social while Everett loves his privacy. Their connection is immediate and sexy and electric. But the differences in the way they live also put an expiration date on their time together.

“I always know what I want.” But I’m not one of those men who use a lot of words to make that clear.”
“I might have enough words for both of us.”
“Right now, I don’t think we need many words.”

paper snowflakes:

Everett and Evie’s time together is perfect. Evie makes paper snowflakes to decorate his Christmas tree while they get to know each other. The longer they are together, the more neither of them wants this time to end. But Everett is convinced that he could never ask Evie to give up what she has in the city to live like he does in the woods. And Evie doesn’t know if she could live like this. Neither of them voice their feelings, both convinced they just have to make the best of the time they have.

“This might be our only chance…and I want…I want to hold on tight…I don’t want to lose you yet, not before I’ve really had you.”

Serendipity Dictionary Definition:

This is just such a sweet Christmas story of falling in love and spending a magical Christmas that will change both their lives forever. This is one of those stories that just makes you sigh and sit back and smile, complete with warm and fuzzies. I’m so glad I read this series. I’ve loved every single book.

Cute little Christmas romance.

I found myself with a gap between books (I'm currently reading a series with long totally addictive books and starting one before bed would have been a very bad idea) so when I noticed this it seemed perfect.
This is cute sweet Christmas romance featuring two people happy with the life they have created for themselves but knowing they really want someone to share it with.
Five years ago Everett was wearing a suit and tie and working for the man, circumstances made him re-evaluate his life and now he lives in a cabin in the mountains, off the grid.
I can see why he chose this life although it's harder to accept he'd choose the isolation and lack of female company (sex) after living with it for so long plus the fact that he had a girlfriend at the time.
But this is a short sweet Christmas romance and I decided not to over analyse things and just go with it.
Evie has a busy life and again for the most part she's happy, occasionally she looks at her sister who's married with a son and she yearns for more.
They meet by accident but it's meant to be they're perfect for each other and their lives fit better than they could ever have expected especially considering Everett is a hermit and Evie is the life and soul of the party.
Could it be this easy, could they possibly fit together so well?

Narrator Review:
The whole book was narrated by Logan McAllister and this is the first time I can say that I actually really liked how a male narrator did the female version of the book. He didn't try to do a high pitch voice for her parts. He did a fantastic job and I would listen to more books narrated by him.

Story Review:
Evie is out trekking through the woods trying to find the perfect branches to make homemade wreaths for her blog when she gets lost in a snow storm.

Everette is living naturally off the land in the Northstar Forest. For the most part, he's happy with his solitary life, but he's feeling a bit nostalgic during the holidays. He decides he needs to go out and cut down a Christmas tree when he happens upon a lost, beautiful woman.

You got two people who are very similar, but also very different. Both Everette and Evie are writers and work from home. While Everette keeps himself busy living off the land and writing about his experience, he is primarily a solitary man. Evie works from home on her blog, however she leads a more busy social life with her friends and family. As these two get to know each other during the storm, both are wondering how they can walk away when the storm blows over.

What a cute little Christmas story! It's a fast read or listen and a nice low angst story line. Since most of the story is told at the cabin during the storm, there is almost no outside distraction for these two as they get to know each other. Loved the epilogue!

3.75 CRAFTED HOLIDAY STARS

Basically this is the story of the quintessential fun crafty party girl Evie meeting the bearded mountain recluse Everett. They meet by chance and are forced together by circumstances.
This is a fun and engaging read, perfectly safe for the holiday season with just enough passion to Jingle your bells! Wink wink if you catch my snow drift.
HIGHLY FESTIVE AND HOT!
description

Some of my favourite lines from this book are:
“And what do you want for Christmas, little elf?”
"I want you to spank me, Santa,” she taunts. “I’ve been very naughty.”
"Tell me all the naughty things you’ve done this year,” (OMG the role playing Santa thing was HOT).
But it was also very sweet,
"She looks like Christmas morning. And she looks like mine."

Honestly, it's a perfect little holiday read.

There is very little conflict in this one with my favourite scene coming near the end when Everett tells Evie,
"What we found is more than serendipity. It is magic. I’m not gonna lose that because I have some ideas about carving out a life for myself in the woods.”
To which Evie answers,
"I want to live up there with you, I want to do something crazy, I want to be your wife and I want to have your babies. I’ll scrapbook the hell out of our life..."

This was just about the most amazing blend of naughty and nice!

This was a pretty cute and Christmas-y novella. Ugh, the holidays are just around the corner!

Mistletoe Mountain was probably the cutest book of this whole series. Maybe even my favorite which is why I wished it was longer than it was. In it, you will meet Everett and Evie. Both were completely adorable and I couldn't help but smile when it came to their story. Seriously, this book got me so excited to see how this whole series is going to end.

Overall, still have a love/hate relationship with novellas and most definitely wished this was longer.

3.5 stars - I like how this started. Evie and Everett met when Evie got lost in the forest. At the onset, they were comfortable, open, and honest with each other. It wasn't long before they started trying to get on Santa's naughty list (and they were really naughty!).

What I wasn't so fond of? As soon as something real developed, they each went into avoidance mode. They didn't even go with tip toeing around the topics. It seemed very out of character for both of them. I enjoyed this as part of Kissmas Wishes.

This was a cute little novella in the mountain man series. Evie is adorable, I love that she's so crafty and not afraid to say how she feels. Everett fits her perfectly, she's looking for someone to love her for who she is and take care of her and he's just the man for the job. They had good chemistry and the romance scenes were well done. Fun Christmas read.

Audible: Narrator – Logan McAllister

This was a quick Christmas audio with lots of insta-lust, insta-love, insta-I wanna spend the rest of my life with you. And it was perfect for that time between lengthier books which I wasn’t ready to delve into yet. The narrator did a great job for Everett. His voice and so smooth and deep and pretty dang dreamy. It was a little rougher to listen to him do Evie’s voice but it wasn’t something I didn’t adjust to quickly.

Evie is lost in the woods up in the mountains looking for pine/cedar to make wreaths for her friends and neighbors. Fortunately, Everett comes across her and brings her back to his mountain home. What follows is everything delicious about mountain men, lost women in pink, Christmas and mistletoe. Done in true Frankie Love fashion, this is the perfect little read when you want a little something nice and a lot naughty.

Evie is a sassy party girl. She is single and lives in the city. She works from home, writing an on-line blog. She spends her free time partying with her friends. She has no idea how she will get to safety until a real live mountain man appears. Their chemistry is sizzling and the sex is great but can Evie abandon her life and move to the mountains?

I loved this! it was hot, sweet, sexy and the epilogue was adorable! Both hero and heroine are experienced but there is no other man or other woman drama, or cheating.

"Mistletoe Mountain" The Mountain Man's Christmas: The Mountain Man 3.6 by author Frankie Love.
Published: November 17,2016
My Rating: 4 Stars.....

What an adorable light, very short and sweet Christmas romance. God knows how much I love Frankie Love's mountain men. Just throw in a helping of Christmas and, well, I'm beyond excited.

Evie and Everett.....

Evie drives out to the woods a couple of days before Christmas in the hopes that she will find the perfect boughs to make her traditional Christmas wreaths. Each year, Evie delivers her wreaths to her neighbors. But this year Evie didn't realize the task would get her lost in the woods. By herself. In a snowstorm. Luckily for her, a gorgeous, sexy, bearded man comes to rescue her.

Everett finds a beautiful woman lost and alone in a snow storm while he just happens to be out cutting down his "perfect" Christmas tree. Everett has been alone, by choice, for the better part of five years. He has made a quiet life for himself off the grid, in a cabin he built himself. But now he finds himself no longer alone and with a houseguest. At least until the storm subsides. Evie is beautiful and Everett is instantly attracted to her. His attraction is very strong, like nothing he has ever felt with a woman before. Everett is unsure what he should do about it. Even if Evie feels the same, how could they make a relationship work? Does he even want a relationship? Or is it just sexual attraction?

Too many complications.
Everett lives far from town, off the grid, alone in a secluded cabin.
Evie is a city girl.
Would Everett give up his way of life for a chance with her?
Will Evie be willing to make the same sacrifices?

In the end, both Evie and Everett will reflect on the intensity of their feelings for each other. Will they give up their "normal" to be with each other? Read and find out. ;)

I loved this story; it was perfect and only added to my already growing holiday spirit. I just hated that it was so short. Evie and Everett are perfect for each other. Although "Mistletoe Mountain" didn't have the same intensity that the other mountain men novels had, it was still a fun and sexy story. As usual, I can't wait to see what this author comes up with next.

My favorite quote: "I let this man unwrap me and now I'll let him go down my chimney."

Frankie Love definitely knows how to write a hot, sexy mountain man whether he's a prince or a rich guy living off the grid. This was a really sweet Christmas story that I must admit I cried at a couple parts. Don't worry it's not all sweet there is definitely a lot of hot, sweaty sex going on too. Evie graduated from college four years ago, she has a sister, Willa that she's very close to and a two year old nephew named Tommy. She has lots of friends and is always the life of the party. She works from home writing a blog about arts and crafts. It's the day before Christmas Eve and she goes to the forest to gather holly, twigs, and foliage to make wreaths for all her neighbors. While she's walking in the woods daydreaming it starts snowing really hard and she realizes she's walked further than intended and she's lost. Everett used to live in a big city working crazy hours and wearing a three piece suit. Until his parents and sister were killed in a car accident on their way to visit him. Realizing life is too short he chucked his life in the city and moved to the woods where he built himself a cabin. He planted a garden to grow his own vegetables, and got some goats, pigs, and chicken for additional food sources. He started documenting his new life one day at a time and after 365 days he had enough to fill a book. Soon after that he published his first book, A Day in the Life of An American Mountain Man and now he's had five books published all together. It's almost Christmas and he's missing his family so he goes outside with his dog, Johnny Walker to chop down a tree to decorate. His dog takes off into the woods obviously sensing something and when Everett catches up to him he sees a beautiful blond freezing her ass off. Evie is thrilled when she sees the sexy mountain man come through the trees after his dog. It looks like for the first time in years Everett won't be alone for Christmas and he's excited to open his present.

LOVED IT. i love a great Christmas story. My 1st book ready, written by Frankie Love. Loved it!! such a snuggly buggly story with so many bits of hot & steamy-ness. With a cute doggie and all. I love a good Christmas story. For me it brought images of Norman Rockwell paintings, in a mountain scene, old cabin, no area wifi or phones, fires popping, finding your Christmas tree in the woods. Perfect setting in my book. Loved it! Must read for sure. ( ;

FINALLY! The CABIN gets a happy ending!

This was another fun story featuring a rugged man, an off grid cabin, and the woman that completes them. (Because yeah, I totes think the cabin is character.)

I hope Frankie never stops writing mountain man stories for me.

This is yet another AHH MAZING book by the fantastic Frankie Love.
I love that she dedicated this novella to her readers in Frankie's Book Group, thank you for that Frankie XOXO

Evie goes searching for the best spruce boughs to make Christmas wreaths for her neighbors, which is a tradition for her, and the best boughs are on the mountain. She thinks her life in the city is everything she wants it to be.

Everett goes out to cut a Christmas tree for his cabin where he lives off the grid and publishes his yearly journal about his daily life on Mistletoe Mountain. He thinks his life is perfect just the way it is.

Evie gets lost as a sudden snow storm blows up covering her tracks where she came into the woods from the road. Suddenly a big burly, dark-haired mountain man comes through the snow with his dog named Johnny Walker.

Since the storm continues on Evie has no choice but to stay at his cabin until the snow stops and he can drive to her car and allow her to get back to the city and her family for Christmas.

There are some instant sparks which quickly turn to flames between Evie and Everett.

This is a novella and a quick fun read.
I love that they both had doubts about their feelings being so quick after meeting and just spending a few hours together, but in the end do find their HEA, after all true love is each putting the happiness of the other first.

I highly recommend this novella and the author.
I gave it a 5 star rating because it was just so sweet and touched my heart!

Loved this book

Loved this book mistletoe mountain man finds his ideal woman when she is lost in the woods. Evie has come to the mountain to get branches for her wreaths she makes every year for her neighbours what she didn’t plan for was the snow storm and getting lost. Everett goes to find his Christmas tree for his cabin in the woods there he finds Evie lost and cold he brings gopher back to his home after finding the tree and bringing it back. What they didn’t expect was the feelings they would feel for each other after a couple of days together. Everett takes Evie back to her home when he could get his truck out he doesn’t want her to leave but their lifestyles are so different when he leaves he knows he has to go back to her. Evie doesn’t want Everett to leave but pushes him out of her house she finds she can’t say what she wants Everett drives away a knock on her door sees Everett with a bit of mistletoe in his hand declaring his love for her how he would give up the mountain for her, that’s not what Evie wants she wants to go back to the mountain. Everett can’t believe that Evie will back to the mountain with her he loves her so much and asks her to marry him. They both found love at first sight right at Christmas
