Into His Arms

Rate this book
After ten years of searching obsessively, Raiden has finally found his beloved and brought him into his home- a palatial aquatic mansion built with the merboy’s every comfort in mind. But for all the luxuries the billionaire has provided, the one thing he cannot give his sweet Akira, is himself. No matter how much they wish to be together, they find themselves constantly separated by their one insurmountable obstacle- the water. Raiden cannot live in it, and Akira cannot live without it…. Or can he? Raiden is about to learn that when dealing with mythical creatures, it may be best not to make assumptions… and that their happily-ever-after may not be so unobtainable after all.

The conclusion of this two-part fairytale romance from author Amelita Rae will warm your heart and stunning illustrations by Skyler Thacmis will captivate your imagination. This memorable story will win you over and leave you begging for more.

Amelita Rae took a wrong turn on the internet one day. All the innocent young lass wanted to do was watch funny cat videos, but then she discovered Boy's Love and that was the end of any worthwhile contribution she might have otherwise made to the world.

She now spends most of her time writing filthy smut that she tries to frame with farfetched plots and deranged characters, but don't be fooled by her bullshit people, its all just smut.

God, how satisfying and fulfilling it was to devour the both books in the series in one day. 😍 Made me feel happy and satiated. One of my favorite mermen love stories! 💜

Original review: Heavily edited version

Miss Rae made up for the sizzling UST and fluffy sweetness from the first book with abundant of smut in this one. Oh God, interspecies sex hasn’t been hotter! 😱🔥 Who knew deflowering a merman could be oh-so-satisfying! 😏 The smut in this book is glorious as well as the character and relationship growth between two MCs. I love that everything was not super smooth between these two. 😌 I mean it made a love story between a merman and a human more realistic and endearing. And Raiden totally created a sex fiend when he introduced Aki-Chan the carnal pleasures of his body. 😂 Who knew our innocent and shy Aki-Chan could be such a sultry, seductive and wickedly titillating minx! Well, I’m not that surprised though. He sure had a good teacher. 😁 The ending couldn't be better and happier. After reading this duology, both books in a day, I really feel very satisfied and contented. Miss Rae never fails to cook up a story that can bring up big smiles for me. 😘 *Dreamy sigh* 😌 I’m glad that it reminds me true love exists after all. 💙

Okaaaay…. this was just a bit too weird for my liking.

I’m normally all for mpreg, but there were some things that just weirded me out..

The merman sex parts were…. not my thing. The whole rimming and drinking the juices while Akira still had a tail was quite unsexy, sorry..

I was also quite surprised to find out Raiden was penetrating Akira’s womb when they had sex. Uuuh… no… just no…

Then there was a sudden case of fisting that came out of nowhere, and that fisting lead to Raiden breaking Akira’s water and him going into labor.

And when they found out Akira was pregnant and the hows of if (Akira had both male and female genitals), they suddenly talked about his pussy and how Akira was a mommy. Uhm, they decided he was male even with the uterus and everything, why would he suddenly be the mommy in the relationship??

These things really pulled me out of the sweetness of the story.

But that could totally be me. Maybe I’ve forgotten how to like the weird shit.

This is a mpreg story so be sure you are comfortable with it, otherwise it destroys the reading experience.

I think the second part is not quite as perfect as the first book. Raiden makes a few small mistakes ... shocking, he is actually human.

But what bothered me were a few logic things that seemed silly to me. Without spoiling, I don't think evolution or nature came up with something like that. But anyway, we are reading fantasy, so for the cover alone and for Akira developing a fondness for geishas, there is no star reduction.

The relationship evolves into a more intimate direction as anticipated, even if Raiden resists at first.

He didn’t want to impose himself on Akira. He was all too aware of his position of power over Akira, even if the boy himself didn’t seem to be.

Akira, fortunately, makes him understand how painful his hesitation is.

He could feel Akira conveying his pain to him, his almost frantic ache. It was deep inside, several inches deeper than Raiden’s fingers could go. Raiden looked about wildly, but he already knew there was nothing else. There was only one thing that could reach where Akira needed him to go. 🔥🔥🔥

And in between the ups and downs, a few beautiful declarations of love are dropped.

“I love you because you are beautiful, but also because you are my hero. You are incredibly brave and strong, sweet and funny. I love you because you are you and because you are my one true, perfect mate.” 💞💞💞

Such an adorable story... though I couldn't help my heart breaking just a little bit for sweet Akira. What a lot of changes he has to endure, but it is a lovely happily ever after.

The audio version is beautifully performed by Eddie Leonard Jr.

I was thrilled Raiden and Akira got their HEA! I was even more excited for the mpreg twist but there were some things that were totally off for me and jolted me out of the story. I really wanted this to be awesome since I loved book one.

“Two people, in love, isolated from the world. That’s beautiful.”- Milan Kundera

I'll ended my one week Amelita Rae's book marathon with this Beloved series.

First, I need to confess that fairytale fantasy was not my thing. I always been a bit curious about reading a story about a merman, but I keep move back and forward whether I should try it or not....
Until one day, out of the blue i decided to push my limit by trying it.
And that when I stumbled to Beloved...

This is my first merboy/merman story and I'm feel giddy, curious and nervous too...
Will I like it? Or I don't know feels 'uncomfortable' ?

But when I start it, I instantly fall in love with the story and surprisingly I LIKE it.

It was sweet, innocent and beautiful story wrapped in breathtaking beautiful illustrations.

I do really like the first part of this series, but the second part of the series not as good as the first one...

But overall, this probably the best Amelita Rae's book I read so far...

You know I really liked the book #1. So I thought, of course, I would love the sequel. I did like some of the moments. But... yes, why do there's always but? Sadly sometimes I feel like this reads like a manual or textbook or something like that. It just takes away all of my fun.

Alpha/Omega merman version

This was sweet, I almost drowned in all the adjectives but a sweet story nonetheless, with a satisfying ending and nice art throughout.-

Look at these glorious tags I put this story in :D

This was adorable! It's fluff and mermen and mpreg and also at the same time, it was very interesting how the author described the merman biology with his bones and the mpreg, how Akira could communicate, and how he learned sign language to talk to everyone else. It made it sound totally possible, and gave explanations for things. And I loved the bit about taking care of the environment and oceans for future generations.

The epilogue is just pure fluffy bliss, and the drawings are equally squee-worthy! Adorbs!

I really enjoyed it both the story and the illustrations. The latter made the reading experience so much more engaging and imaginative.

The ending was sweet and I liked how things played out in this 2nd part of Akira and Raiden’s story. Here’s why I didn’t like this as much as the first book:
1) I never thought I’d say this but TOO MUCH SEX! It deagged and was a bit too saccharin for my taste and I skipped a lot of it. It took the place of character development or the introduction of ANY secondary characters. Give Akira a single friend for fucks sake.
2) TOO MUCH infantalizing of Akira.

I really loved this. Honestly, I have such a weakness for Amelita Rae's stories.
I've been on a merman reading binge, but unsurprisingly this was one of my faves.
It's a light and sweet story with a satisfying arc and HEA <3

Read this lovely sweet beautiful story and its first part when they were first published on Kikndle Unlimited back in 2016. Loved it so much, and others of Amelita's I read on Kindle Unlimited that in February 2016 I bought them.

Okay first off. IDK WHAT BOOK WAS BETTER THIS ONE OR THE FIRST ONE?! Both were so damn incredible I just want to actually cry. I'm not even joking.
This was such a sweet addition to the first book. First off, I didn't know what to expect when these two finally got together because hello two different species?! But it felt so right to read. Even the sex scenes just felt.. okay?! God I was literally chanting with excitement and so ready for them to have sex because the tension was high and Raiden was acting like Akira was just some tiny little baby that didn't have needs and was too delicate to be with. Nope Akira said GIMME THE D NOW!!! lol

The only thing I wish I could enjoy more was Raiden and Akira on another cute date together with Akira's new legs. I wanted them to be a cutesy couple in public and maybe do more things together in the story, but what we got was good too. Very very good. Akira was the pretties one out there when Raiden took him out and my heart was full. AND DONT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON BABIES. Okay bye now. Read this lovely book.

As sweet as the first one just more hot.

As usual Amelita Rae does it for me.

The only thing that wasn't really my thing was childbirth.
I love mpreg in any forms but the details of childbirth was a bit too much for me, even if childbirth is in my job description (maybe that's why I didn't care for it) I don't really want to read about them in details in my books.

All in all this was lovely. And to everyone who likes fairytales, sweet MC's, hot sex and don't mind mpreg..this is a book for you!

I pretty much had all the same issues with this book that I had a first one. It’s still super cringe, Raiden still comes across as a possessive predator, and Akira still portrayed as an innocent child in a man’s/ merman’s body. As far as the writing goes, it feels like you’re reading somebody’s term paper from a gender studies course. The one good thing I will say about this book is it seems that the characters in it understand that what they’re doing is creepy. About the only character who seems like they have any reasonable sense is Noboru. I’m actually really glad there’s no merit books in the series.

A Great End

While certainly not as positively filthy as some of her other work, this is is without a doubt a great ending to the two part series. A continuation of Beloved, the book picks up with the immediate events is the prior work, taking readers on a journey that redefines the meaning of love. Definitely a story worth reading. Though a proper editor would be much appreciated...

I really enjoyed both books. And I feel that I can only do a just review if I do it for both books at once and not for each, individually.
I found this to be a new (for me) and different take on merfolk romance books. I liked the characters and really enjoyed the romance.
I'm happy to have found these books. The writing style is also good. And I absolutely loved the illustrations
I will definitely be reading more Amelita Rae books in the future.

Always Awesome

A perfect happily Ever After, loved every part of it. And I adored the whole exploration on how human are raised verses ocean inhabitants and how gender norms are human constructs. It was well done, how Akira did as he liked without preconceived ideas of what boys do and what girls do. And the results are awesome. I also loved how mermaids get their names. Utterly brilliant.
