Lilah Fallon is beyond excited at the prospect of opening her own cookie store, with the help of her neighbor, Margie. She already has her first major order, due the day before Thanksgiving, and is frantically searching for the perfect space in which to put her shop. Finding the perfect building for sale, she’s ready to jump in feet first and put a payment down before someone else snatches it up, but when the owner is found dead, hours after she last saw him, her plans are derailed. Once again faced with a mysterious death, Lilah begins having second thoughts about opening her store. As Thanksgiving draws near and she struggles to finish the huge cookie order on time, she finds herself overwhelmed and on the verge of giving up, wondering if her dreams of owning a cookies store will be just another failed venture.

When Cozy Mystery author, Patti Benning, isn’t busy plotting the deaths of multiple fictitious characters, she loves to spend time hiking with her rescue dog, Max, who is her bestest writing buddy.

​Patti loves to cook and the food in her books has been tried and tested in her very own kitchen. She’s technologically shy, and stays away from social media a great deal, because it makes her feel more awkward and introverted than meeting someone face to face.

Entertaining mystery listening 🎶🔰

Another will written mystery family and friends relationships adventure thriller short story by Patti Benning (Killer Cookie Cozy Mysteries book three). Lilah is working on finding a place for her cookie 🍪 shop. She finds a sandwich shop that appears to be perfect. The owner commits suicide or is it? Lilah discovers it is murder and helps get the murderer arrested. I would recommend this novella series and author to 👍 readers of mystery novels 👍🔰. Actually better

Still some typos to sort out, but this offered more substance in the story sand some much needed character development. Still a long way to go to get to "great" but certainly approaching good.

I'm still having slightly mixed feelings about this series, but I did like this one more than the previous books. Lilah has had enough character development through the books that she isn't aggravating me like she used to. there are just a couple of minor things that keep me from adoring the series. The biggest one is that there doesn't seem to be a buildup to the reveal. I also find Lilah's cookie baking skills to be a little unbelievable. But overall I feel the series has improved a lot since book one, and I can't wait for the next one.

A tearjerker installment!

This series just keeps getting better! Wow! I kind of feel like I could call it a tear jerker, it really tugged at you for sadness, regret and hope all at the same time. We finally get to meet Lilah's family and Margie's family as Thanksgiving is approaching. Eliza is the tough daughter in law that just can't warm up to Lilah until they get stuck dashing out for stuffing byt find the killer. I guess danger and excitement break the ice and Eliza realizes finally what a good person Lilah really is. Though the murder is sad, things seem hopeful and exciting for Lilah and Margie. It's really a wonderful story and each new installment is skillfully building on to the story. I absolutely love seeing more of and getting to know each character better, and this is done for all of the characters and not just the main ones. This is just a great series and each new installment has a unique story to add.

Lilah has finally found her perfect career. With training from her neighbor, Margie, she has starting baking cookies professionally. With Margie's financial assistance, Lilah begins to look for a shop to house her new business in, With the help of another friend she finds a shop that is perfectly located and equipped. After getting a purchase price from the owner, she is stunned to find out that he is dead a short time later.

Continuing to search for another shop, Lilah meets the sister of the murdered man and starts to work with her to still buy the shop. Meanwhile, Margie's visiting daughter-in-law is throwing a tantrum about Margie investing in the business.

This is a fun and quick read with characters and a story line that continues to grow and expand. A perfect bedtime read!

Great story

lol ah is going to open her cookie shop and has found the perfect store to set up shop. The next day the owner is found dead. Who killed him and was it murder or suicide. Read all three books in this series. Can't wait for the next book.

I love this series and I have said it before and my other reviews. I think that the main character Lilah is very relatable. Is she's one of those people, like myself, that has a passion for something but they're not quite sure what that passion is. I'm just glad now that she has discovered it's baking cookies and along with that comes a murder. I enjoyed this book because it shows the dynamic between Lilah and her family as well as Margie's family. You will not be disappointed, however I was upset about the ending. I just wanted to know a little bit more but I guess I will have to wait until the next book. Great job Patty.

Lilah has finally found a job she feels will suit her perfectly. With Marge's help she intends to open a cookie shop. Reid is her first customer. She bakes some fabulous cookies for his companies Thanksgiving celebration. An unexpected death may throw a wrench in Lilah's plans.

I love Patti's books. The characters are well developed and you feel as though you know them. The action moves along at a nice pace. I'm looking forward to the next book already.

Their friend, Reid, shows Lilah the perfect place for her store, but before she can even decide to put down a down payment, the owner is killed. Was it suicide like the police think? Or was it murder? This is a wonderful book that ends with a wonderful Thanksgiving meal.

I'm really enjoying this series. Each new installment builds on the characters, creating well rounded interesting people to read about. I find myself cheering for Lilah to succeed and find her calling. The stories move along at a nice pace, keeping the momentum going without bogging down the story. I hope to read more in this series.

Kept me guessing until the end!

Wow never saw the murderer coming. This story was so well written on multiple levels that at time I forgot I was reading a murder mystery. The author writes not just about murder but the complex layers of friendships and family. A thoroughly enjoyable read.

Kindle Unlimited, used to cozies, and tend to cut them slack, BUT...These are all as bad, and will do with review what the 'writer' did with the books, copy/paste cookie cutter. Each of these books are beyond stupid, as in stupid plots stupid situations stupid obvious solutions/killers, and no idea about what is being written about. She keeps writing about 'cooking' and judging by her 'expert' descriptions, she can't boil water. There are major plot flaws and issues and other problems in every single overpriced very short 'book' that still managed to do in every one without fixing glaring problems, one being redundancy of previous unneeded descriptions.
