31 Prayers for my Future Wife

Rate this book
Marriage is one of the greatest gifts God ever created for mankind, besides His son Jesus. In the Garden of Eden, God said that it was not good that man was alone, so He created Eve out of Adam's side (Genesis 2). Desiring a counterpart and oneness with another person is built into the deepest and oldest parts of our human nature. God also tells us in His Word to present all of our requests to Him (Philippians 4:6). We want to encourage you and your desire for marriage by urging you to pray for your heart and the heart of your future spouse. 31 Prayers For My Future Wife was written for single men who desire the intimacy of marriage, men currently in a serious relationship, and men who are engaged planning for their special day! This is a great resource to help teenagers purpose their hearts for what God has for their future marriage or anyone else who feels strongly about getting married and cares for the heart of their future bride. As you seek God's will for you and your future wife, as you patiently prepare for your wedding day, we challenge you to begin to be the prayer warrior that God desires you to be. This book has been written to be a starting place and/or guide to help you begin your lifelong journey of praying for your future wife and marriage. You don't need to wait until after you're married to start praying for her. Start today!

Aaron Smith is a husband and father who has always had a passion for sharing the gospel with the world. After getting married in 2007 to Jennifer Smith ( Unveiled Wife ), he and his wife became missionaries in Africa. Throughout the first four and a half years of marriage he and his wife experienced many struggles but found restoration through the grace of God, and out of those trials was birthed an on-line marriage ministry (HusbandRevolution.com). His heart now is directed towards encouraging husbands in their walks with Christ and their marriage. His hope is to see a revival in the hearts of husbands around the world. He believes that if husbands would humble themselves and turn toward God that marriages would be saved and the message of Christ would be advanced greater than ever before.

Well it took me few months past my actual wedding to finish going through this book, but I believe that the time was well spent. It provided me the opportunity to ruminate on and pray about many aspects of marriage. I would recommend this book to anyone hoping to be married, whether single, dating, or engaged.

A good step in encouraging the reader to be prayerfully focused on their future spouse (or even maybe for their present-day spouse). Is definitely a good place to start. Also has contains challenges for the reader in their walk with God between chapters.

Pros:
Comprehensive and a good place to start in the realm of praying for relationships. Biblically sourced and focused prayers.

Cons:

Good for what it is, I think it would have really benefitted from a one or two page preface on the wider Christian view of marriage and singleness. I think sometimes crossing that line into 'You will get married because that's what good and successful people do', but with a title like that it's not entirely out of place

What a powerful book of daily prayers for your future wife!

This book helps men see the areas in which his future wife needs daily prayer and support.

These prayers will continue beyond the preparation stage and throughout marriage.

I highly recommend this book!

I think any man who is looking for a guide to help him pray for his future wife. He just found it if he was holding this book in his hands. I think that man should do what the book says, and as long as he does that, the type of wife he wants and truly wishes for will be granted to him.

Decent book but seemed pretty repetitive. Lots of journaling so it felt a bit cheap. But overall, some good concepts that got me into deep thinking.

This book was really inspiring and gave me some wonderful perspective of what to look for in a Godly marriage when that day comes. It also gave me the insight as to how to lead my daily life to keep myself accountable and preparing myself for her. Praying for her has become a ritual of mine after reading this book, and I am excited about others reading this book and growing from it!

A list of 31 prayer topics for your future wife. I found the last section to be the most impactful.
