Once you enter, anything goes. No fantasy—however dark and dirty and depraved it may be—is forbidden. You have no past, no inhibitions, no morals…and no memory. All you have to cling to is the memory of a scorching touch, a searing kiss, the wet slide of skin on skin, and the heat of breath across your flesh. Step forward… Turn the knob… Step through the sixth door...
Jasinda Wilder is a New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and USA Today bestselling author of more than 100 titles including the #1 Amazon bestseller Falling Into You, the Audie Award-winning (best audiobook) Alpha, and the beloved, 17-book Badd Brothers series. She and her husband Jack Wilder have sold more than 7 million copies and have been translated into more than 20 languages worldwide. You can find them at their fairy tale cottage by a lake somewhere in Michigan with their 6 kids, 5 dogs, 2 cats, 2 bunnies, and way too many ducks and chickens.
This further installment in the Black Room series takes us to the Scottish highlands, the land of tartan and annoying Red Coats.
There is a huge shift between Hannah and Conrad in this story, things seem to be evolving between them but Charles is still lurking, doing everything he can to keep them apart.
Door Seven looks really interesting as it looks like it is set in today's world in a suburban family home.
I received an ARC for an honest review of this work. Love my Highlanders, bought me back to Skye O'Malley. Another heart breaker for me, love the continuity of feeling between Hannah and Conrad. The intensity of their writing is awesome. On to Door 7.
This tale brings more emotions and feeling into the story
Who doesn't like a highland adventure? Love and tenderness are seen in this story, bringing these two Star crossed lovers closer which helps Hannah see the truth clearer than ever before. I just can't stop! I have to understand what is really going on.
Seriously having to fan myself here! Door 6 is every girls fantasy, que sexy accents, your gentleman defending your honor and equal parts sexy goodness!
Cod a kilt get any hotter? This series is an amazingly arousing adventurer. From one door to another it ramps the heat and wonder of what's next. OH I can't take it I love it.

“Silence. Perfect, utter silence. A drowning quiet. A longing, deep and unfulfilled, soul-deep, a bone-deep need for something I cannot have; the first sensation. Pang of loss, gnaw of guilt, acid bite of shame, burning heat of lust, a deep delicious soreness in all the right places—all of these sensations roil and coil and mingle together, wedded; the second sensation. I open my eyes; the third sensation. I’m in the room of black doors.” (Book #2)
The Black Room Series By Jasinda Wilder and Jade London kept me enthralled from beginning to end. I really didn’t know what to expect going into this series, but the synopsis intrigued me so much that I went on a one-clicking frenzy and snapped up the entire series to devour- and devour them I did. The books are all quite short, quick and easy reads. But each one packs a punch, keeping you guessing, and completely engrossed by the story. I had so many questions right from the outset. There is a real mysteriousness to the whole story that had me trying to guess where the it was leading, and entirely unsure of the outcome. Each book adds another layer to this complex and intriguing story- there are so many facets, which when layered on top of one another begin to build a truly fascinating story. From book one where we are really not sure where we are, how we got there, or what the heck is happening, the black room, all the doors, all the discoveries, and encounters, book after book, door after door, layer upon layer- things are never quite as they appear- and they way this series/story is pieced together, and the ‘revelation’ at the end was really clever! This book/series is HOT, erotic, dark, delicious, and unputdownable. I read the entire series back to back- and enjoyed every second. This is definitely a story/series I won’t soon forget. It’s one I can see myself revisiting again in the future. Brilliant!
This was the darkest book by now, but there is more to come I suspect.....
I think the connection between Hannah and Conrad is unique and I want clarification of what it is...... But can the connection between two people be clarified, can we know what makes this connection unique.....? Is love always unique.........love is love but isn't love different from one relationship to another relationship......
Omg, these books makes me think a lot.......and I love that, even though I'm confused.
If you want books that makes you think and wonder of life's mysteries and like hot love scenes.........yeah, you know.......
I’m dubbing door 6 as the Outlander door. Hannah and Conrad find themselves in the land of the Scots vs. the British. We get more pieces to the puzzle as Hannah starts retaining more information from her time with Conrad after she wakes. Door 7’s setup seems to be leading towards more clues and hopefully things become clear.
This is one of the most unique series I've ever read. My recommendation is to go into it completely blind - don't read other reviews or summaries of any of the books. There is more to the plot than meets the eye.
The Black Room: Door Six by Jasinda Wilder is part of a serial and definitely should be read in order.
This door reads a lot like Outlander, reimagined as an erotic romance. There are similar elements: Scottish warrior with a price on his head, evil English soldiers trying to capture him, lead female character who finds herself in peril and in need of rescue.
Like Door Five, there's quite a bit of graphic violence in this story, which I personally don't enjoy reading. So, reader beware if that's not your thing, either.
At this point, I've read six doors in this collection, and I never thought I would say this about a book, but there's almost too much sex and not enough substance. At the end of this book--six installments in--we're just now starting to get a clear explanation for who Hannah and Conrad are and how they could possibly exist in so many different scenarios. I'm glad that the puzzle pieces are starting to fit, but a constant throughout this series thus far has been the presence of so many sex scenes without any context.
Don't get me wrong--Jasinda Wilder writes great sex scenes. But for me, I need some back story to understand why these people are so hot for each other and an explanation for why they can't live without the other person.
Also, I'm eager to leave the doors that have a historical setting and move back into the contemporary world.
Now that some answers are being introduced, I'm looking forward to seeing how this will end and how the different doors all tie together.
There is lots to be thankful for when your mind can imagine the male characters in kilts! This chapter, Irish countryside, and highland men are one of my two favorite chapters. (the other was the knights) The love triangle of Hannah, Conrad, and Charlie continues still but more info becomes available on this trio. Red-headed Arelia makes a small appearance which is a concern!
omg .. I read Door 6 in about an hour...Give me a good Highlander and I am hooked. Book Six Conrad is most memorable. End of book six Hannah guts me. The darkness is getting so big I can feel it. Door 7 I know will be tough. Jasinda you owe me a bottle of wine or a case depending how Door 7 goes!!!
Curiosity is getting the better of me with this series, I really liked the first couple of stories but the last few have not grabbed my attention enough. However I'm stubborn enough to persist as I feel there is more to uncover and a hidden meaning behind the doors and scenarios.
Ok. Suspicion and thoughts are somewhat confirmed. I think I knew what was happening. There's still a bunch of stuff needing revealed, but so far my predictions are true!
