He does the decent thing and offers them a lift but things aren't what they seem when she takes the license plates from her car and hasn't got much luggage considering she is travelling with a baby. This is a great suspense read with the shifter bonus and the characters blend well together.
I am an ARC READER and voluntarily offered to review this book for my honest opinion.
Big Bear Papa is an amazing book. The main femail character Carle is a nurse on her way home when a stranger gives her a child and say Please keep the baby safe! She had no clue what to do the only thing she knew is that she had to protect the baby from the people after her. Devlin find Carlie on the side of the rode and knows he has to help her the same way he know she is his mate. Enter Devlin. The people after the baby and her catch up to her and Devlin is able to protect her and the baby saving the day. Do you think that Devlin,Carlie, and Ava can have the best happy ever after. Read this book you will love it.
I really liked this book but found it too short. No sooner did they capture a dirty cop then the book was over. How they take down the dirty cop and then the book glosses over the capture of Samantha's husband. All the characters are brushed in but have no depth.
This was one of the best books in the series. Very suspenseful, drama with underline love story. Carlie was a strong lady even knows what she was in to. Devlin was your typical werebear who's very protective and loving. Awesome quick read. I voluntarily agreed to review this book. My review is my own honest opinion
Another great read in a fantastic series i just love these guys. This is the third one ive read in the series and so far its my favorite they just keep getting better a super little read recommended to all
I love these Sweetwater Father series. I like the suspense, the drama and the attraction and acceptance of the child that's not biologically theirs. Great story
This was the third book in the series and as always Anya has kept me pulled into a book and kept me there till I was done with it.I volunteered to read an advanced copy for an honest review
Short and sweet insta love bear shifter story about a murder and a stolen baby. It was fine, but nothing to get excited about. 2024 NATO phonetic alphabet reading challenge-P:papa
Carlie is thrown into life on the run in a matter of hours. Instinct is all that's keeping her and baby Ava alive. And instinct says she should trust Devlin with their lives. Devlin jumps in with both feet when he finds them stuck in the middle of nowhere and he finds out pretty fast he'll do just about anything to keep both of them.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Thinking she was just going to go home after a hellish day as a nurse, Carlie did NOT see this one coming. Some woman looking extremely rushed and out of sorts hands Carlie a bundle of blankets with a little surprise in them, asking her to take care of this baby and keep her safe. Say what now? Carlie, going back into nurse mode, heads off to look for this baby's mom. What was not expected was all the voices and sirens happening very close to her. She headed that direction in hopes of finding this baby's mom, and she does. Now it is clear she is this baby's only guardian. Who is this creepy detective rushing up to her though? He puts all of her instincts to run and hide on overdrive, and she listens to those instincts....his looks was crazed. Now what does she do? Well, she can't stay here....
Making his way from Florida to the little town of Sweetwater was all Devlin had on his mind. That is until he comes upon a broken down car on the side of the road with a woman and baby. His werebear instincts seem to sense something is wrong with this picture, but he also gets the sense of belonging and calmness, much like what his buddies have told him about finding his mate....but that is crazy he barely knows her, and he knows she is being secretive and not telling him the whole truth, if any truth at all. Still, his bear is itching to come out and be with them.
Stopping for gas, is when the plot thickens, there is a tv on and just when Carlie is about to be found out, she does something she has to but doesn't understand where this is going to lead, she pulls Devlin into a huge hug....yes, and just like that all bets are on there being a wild and bumpy road ahead of them. Can she keep her secret or is the twist happening in the book leading to another path? Enter this earlier mentioned detective, who just so happens to be a lion shifter, and we have some interesting things happening. There are secrets spilled, but what are they? How is this all related to that night with Carlie being given baby Ava?
Devlin likes it when he is around Carlie and Ava, an instant family that he never realized he wanted and would do anything to protect. When the cabin is interrupted with them in it, and that cabin just hours before was home with Carlie and him, that is the moment he realizes that the truth needs to be told to him from Carlie. Does she tell him? Does this break them apart or draw them closer together? Can he forgive her? Most of all will he believe her?
Well there is one way to find out where their story goes, and that is simply to read this delicious book. Too easy to get drawn in and not so easy to put down. All the way around an awesome book!
Big Bear Papa: BBW Werebear Surprise Baby Romance Sweetwater Father Bear by Anya Nowlan ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This storyline has the perfect blend of drama, mystery and sexiness. I loved this storyline !!! It's Fantastic ! I love getting to know the characters and visiting Sweetwater Wyoming. This such a light and entertaining read and which made it easy for me to reading along; it's just a all-round Fantastic book to read. Anya Nowlan’s writing is always flowing and detailed and easy to read. The storyline is well plotted and weaves friendship perfectly with the romanatic element that encompasses the story. Carlie Reyez is a nurse, as she is leaving work she runs into a lady who thrust a baby girl into her arms. A little later she finds out the child's mother ends up dead. When Carlie realizes that she needs to protect the little girl. Devlin Carter is a werebear who is on his way to the small town of Sweetwater, When he finds a woman stranded by the side of the road, he thinks she is the sexiest, curviest woman he'd ever laid his eyes on and he feels he has found his mate. A bear is always there when you need one.
I have to hand it to Anya Nowlan. She has a awesome imagination. Besides her characters being extremely hot and interesting, she pens a story that has you wanting more and wishing that the next book would release the next day. Honestly, I couldn’t believe how quick this story moved. I felt like I just started it and I was reading the HEA. WOW, If it was possible I would love for her to have a clone, so she would give us readers more storylines to read. Because I would really love to read more of Sweetwater Father Bears. This is going to be a fun and interesting series and I can't hardly wait to revisit Sweetwater. This is a standalone werebear surprise baby romance novella. If you are looking for a fun book to lose yourself in, then I would read this one. I definitely recommend this book. It is a awesome read if you love reading paranormal romance about shifter!. I am voluntarily reviewing a book gifted to me by the author with no obligation.
If you believe in the world of paranormal romance, the possibilities are endless and fascinating!
As Carlie leaves the hospital after another gruelling shift, she is confronted by a scared woman asking for help. Something is obviously wrong; the next minute a baby is thrust into Carlie’s arms, and the woman, who looks vaguely familiar, runs off. High stress and unexpected situations were not new to Carlie, but even she is caught off-guard. Chasing after the woman, Carlie is shocked when she finds out she is dead, apparently mauled by an animal. Recognising the baby in Carlie’s arms, it is clear Detective Silas knows more than he is letting on; is he the man the woman had been running from in the first place? Getting out of town and protecting the baby is now Carlie’s main concern. What Carlie doesn’t expect is for her car to break down and then being rescued by Devlin. A roadtrip was meant to give Devlin time to figure himself out; now it has turned into something entirely different and he didn’t mind at all. It is clear the story Carlie has concocted is dubious and he just knew these two ladies were going to get him into trouble. Nevertheless, there is a connection between him and Carlie and he wants to see where it leads; Carlie is struck by Devlin’s honesty, which makes her lies more distasteful. Being on the run with a stranger’s baby, she has doubted her sanity more than once, but when Devlin tells her he is a shifter it doesn’t faze her in the least. Was the restlessness Devlin felt in Miami a sign pushing him towards finding his mate? Devlin couldn’t explain it, but it simply felt right to go to Sweetwater, more so now that Carlie and the baby have agreed to go with him. But even though Carlie is keeping a low profile, it doesn’t take long for Detective Silas to find them. When Carlie finally confesses the truth, how will Devlin react? And given a choice, what will Detective Silas do? Another well-written, excellent story with a few twists and turns that made this an intriguing read, and one that I would have no hesitation in recommending. A copy of this book was provided to me with no requirements for a review. I voluntarily read this book and my comments here are my honest opinion.
I received this book as an ARC for a voluntary honest review.
In this book we meet Carlie and Devlin. Carlie is a nurse and one night after leaving her shift at the ER she runs into a woman running for what looks like her life. She takes her baby girl and places her in Carlie's arms and asks her to protect her. She then runs into the night, Carlie doesn't know what is going on and chases after the woman only to find her mauled to death in an ally just a couple of blocks away. The detective that is looking over the body gives Carlie a bad vibe so she runs with the baby not knowing what else to do. Along the way her older car breaks down and she is lucky that a stranger comes along to help her out. The problem is no matter how hot he may be she isn't sure if she can truly trust him or he will be the one to kill her next?
Devlin is tired of the city and his bear wants to run free so he is heading back to his family's old clan. Along the way he sees a woman and her baby next to a broke down car. He agrees to help her even though he doesn't completely believe her story about why they are on the road to begin with. There is something about her though that won't let Devlin just walk away. The more time he spends with them both the more he wants to. Could he possibly have found the one woman meant for him and if so is what she is hiding going to be the end of them forever?
This is a great book about finding love when you never knew you were looking for it. This book has lots of intrigue that will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I want to tell you so much more about this book but I don't want to spoil it for anyone else. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone.
MY THOUGHTS This is the third book in the Sweetwater Father Bear Series. Here we have a little different take on shape shifters, a bear shifter, Devlin Carter, living in Miami decides to move to Sweetwater. He's looking for a change and a little more settled life. That isn't exactly what he got. During his travel, Devlin's life would never be the same. Alongside the road was a gorgeous and fascinating woman.
While this is going on, a nurse in St. Louis has a baby placed in her arms and the mother disappeared, only to be found dead later. This made Carlie think that maybe her and the baby were in danger and she needed to disappear herself. She takes the baby and goes.
Oddly enough she never thought she would meet a man that immediately made her feel safe and protected. This may have been love at first sight. Attraction the moment their eyes met.
Devlin and Carlie along with the baby head to Sweetwater thinking they are safe. But that isn't true. They were far from safe. But Carlie had someone who would protect her and the baby the best he could.
Such a sweet and loving book. Will Devlin keep Carlie safe? Will the mystery be solved and the three of them become a family. Grab a copy and read this enchanting book. This is a stand alone book but I would definitely suggest reading these books in the series. There's nothing more cuddly and heart warming than a cute little bear.
I received a copy of this book from he author and voluntarily decided to review it.
Devlin Carter, a bear shifter who was looking for a quieter life after he left Miami and was moving to Sweetwater. On his road trip, Devlin didn't expect for his life to get turned upside down when he found the most beautiful and intriguing woman stranded by the side of the road.
Carlie Ferrara, a nurse who worked at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis. After one of her late shifts one night, she encountered a woman who frantically pushed a bundle of joy in her arms. The woman made Carlie promise that she would take care of the baby.
When the woman showed up dead, Carlie knew it was time to get baby Ava and herself out of dodge and find somewhere safe to hide. She didn't anticipate to meet the most handsome man who made her feel safe just by being in his presence.
The moment Devlin saw Carlie, there was an instant attraction between the two of them. Carlie lie to Devlin about Ava, when the truth came out he understood why she did what she did.
Danger followed Carlie and Ava to Sweetwater, Devlin did everything to protect the two beauties who came tl mean a lot to him.
BIG BEAR PAPA is the third book in Anya Nowlan's SWEETWATER FATHER BEARS series. It was fantastic, adorable and an amazing read.
Whilst I enjoyed the story very much, I do get annoyed when we have the liar syndrome. I do not mind as long as the person comes clean quickly. Carlie absolutely did the right thing and I support her decision to run and protect Ava but if Devlin had not been a shifter himself, he would have been killed by Silas. I know Carlie did not know Silas was a shifter but Devlin did not know what was going on and to take precautions and be careful. Luckily he knew something was not right. At least Carlie was fairly remorseful once she had told Devlin the truth but having sex with someone you are deceiving who has done nothing but help you is wrong on so many counts to me. I understand at the beginning Carlie making up a story but once she realised what a good guy Devlin was she should have told him the truth especially before she slept with him. A great story that ended nicely but left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth for part of the story. I have not read the previous two books in this series but plan to do so. This is my honest review of this book
Carlie had just gotten off her nursing shift at Mercy Hospital in St Louis. Someone hurrys towards her and tells her to take care of her little girl, then she runs off. Carlie sees police lights and sees Carlie's mom dead. One of the detectives sees her and runs after her. Carlie runs gets in her car and takes off. Devlin is a very happy bear on his way to Sweetwater where some of his kin used to live. He is going to drive and see the country. His great American road trip takes him to a broken down car and a frantic mother and child. Carlie makes up a whale of a story about why they are out alone including jail, boyfriend, anger, and other lies that she can think of. Devlan takes them to a store and pick up things, because she has very little including a car seat for Ava. Devlin asks if they want to go to Sweetwater with him. She says okay. Does Devlin like having two girls around? Are they safe in bear country? To find the Andersen's keep turning those pages. I volunteered to review this ARC book using entirely my own opinion.
Carlie is thrown into a dangerous situation in order to protect a baby. On the run from a killer she doesn't know what to do. On the run she meets up with someone who can help her, even if he doesn't know exactly what he is helping her with. Devlin a Bear shifter is on a road trip looking for a place to fit, obviously Sweetwater is the Town to go. On the way he picks up Carlie and a baby Ava. He knows she not telling the whole truth but he can't help but want to protect her. I love the whole shifters instant mates thing. Obviously if that happened in real life people will judge and pick the relationship apart. When these two meet MATES!!! Funny to how he knows she is lying to him, but he loves her blush so likes catching her out. It's amazing how Carlie up and left her life to keep her word to a woman she didn't know in order to protect a baby. But then she loves that baby from the start. Then Devlin added in, is a perfect little family. But someone is out to destroy that and no way is Devlin letting anyone take what is his. Carlie and Ava are his!
I really enjoyed this book it's a good mixture of suspense and sweetness. Carlie a nurse on leaving work and heading to where she parked her car, is shocked when a frantic woman thrust her baby into her arms and runs off. Carlie decides to follow her and on heading off in the direction the woman took she turns a corner to find people crowded around a cordoned off police scene, of a murder and she spots the woman whose baby it is, is the victim. She then spots one of the detectives who is looking at her and the baby in a way that frightens her enough to run and keep the baby safe. Devlin is a bear shifter who has saved up and given up his job to travel to clearwater, which is where his dad came from. On the way he stops seeing a woman with a baby broken down on the side of the road and he offers them a lift but realises things are all they seem when she removed the license plates from her car and doesn't have much luggages especially to be traveling with a baby. I won't tell you any more as I hate when reviewers tell too much of the story and spoil it for other readers.
What do you do when you have just left work and someone thrusts their baby in your arms? You go after them till you find her dead and a Detective comes at you with bad vibes coming off him. You take the baby and run. With no car seat or idea what is going on Carlie takes off in her old car only to have it die on the road. Devlin is a were bear who decides to take a road trip to Sweetwater where his father had once lived. He plays knight in shining armor and picks up Carlie and the baby. He knows something is off about Carlie, but helps her anyway. Will the Detective find Carlie and the baby? Will Devlin and Carlie get together or will the killer get to she and the baby? This is one good shifter mystery. I give it 5 stars and highly recommend it."I voluntarily and honestly reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book without any pressure from the author.
Used to be that I thought of grizzly bears as SO not cuddly…until I met the bear daddy shifters in Sweetwater! Devlin and Carlie, and little Ava, are so adorable. Yes, I mean all of them. I can’t do the story justice so I won’t recap how Carlie and baby Ava end up together but they go on the run. When Carlie’s car breaks down, she is very fortunate to have Devlin stop to try to help them. What a great feel-good story – well after they deal with some very bad juju following Carlie and Ava – and they end up fitting right into Sweetwater with all the other great families I’ve read about in Ms. Nowlan’s other books. The story is short and sweet, little intrigue thrown in for good measure; has a hawt bear shifter; has an adorable baby girl; and a kick-ass nurse. What more can you ask for? I recommend this book and all the rest of the shifters in Sweetwater!

Not only had he found one who could be his mate, but he'd also found a mission. The little bright-eyed baby girl in her arms needed protecting and he was just the bear for the job. Carlie does not know if she can trust Devlin, but she wants to as much as she needs to protect baby Ava. But danger follows their every step.

Delving and Carlie cuddling in a cabin..one, two, three
Delving didn't know what to expect when he stop to help a stranded woman with a baby. He wanted a change but wasn't expecting it with a twist. Carlie just wanted to go home and relax but of course things never goes as plans. She soon realize her life has changed when she is given a baby by a strange woman fearing for and her baby's safety. Charlie being a nurse trying to assess the situation and knowing the safe haven leakage tries to find the lady only StumbleUpon her dead in an alley surrounded by cops and spectators. When one person spots her and comes for her. She immediately takes off. Her luck runs out when her car breaks down on the side of the road, she wanted and somebody is after her and the baby. Or is has her luck just turn for the better?...
Carlie is a nurse on her way home after a long day when a women runs up to her a gives her baby (Ava) to her. " keep her safe" was all she said before running away. She was found dead a few moments later. At the scene of the murder the head detective (Silas) givers her and the baby a deadly glare and she just knows he has something to do with all of this. Only thing left to do is run with Ava to keep her safe.
Devlin is a bearshifter on a road trip going to the two his father came from when he runs onto Carlie on the side of the road needing a ride. It doesn't take him long to know she is his mate BUT what's going on? He knows she is lying and he knows she needs help. Oh yea this one IS great. I love Devlin, he is so sweet. Great mystery and characters, fun storyline and spice! Shifter fans this one is for you. Voluntary reviewed a copy and I honestly loved it
This was an interesting book and my favorite so far in this series because it wasn't quite as sad. Granted, it was sad what happened to the baby's mother, but I much prefer for it to be an unknown character that dies, rather than a sibling, friend, or for the character to be a single parent due to the fact that their partner died. Those scenarios really bother me and put too sad a taint on the book for me to fully enjoy it. That being sad, this book was easier for me to read, and I overall really enjoyed it. Devlin and Carlie were both great characters, and a good match for each other. I really enjoyed seeing them fall in love and deal with everything while trying to protect the baby. I was happy to see them get their HEA.
Sometimes doing the right thing turns your life completely upside down. Nurse Carlie was in the right place to save baby Ava, but not Ava's mother. Instinct tells Carlie she needs to vanish FAST to protect Ava. So she takes the little girl and splits. Devlin has had enough of the city and is headed back to Sweetwater where his dad was from. Fate has him crossing paths with a stranded and slightly frantic Carlie. I rather loved reading the latest story out of Sweetwater. Doing the right thing no matter what it costs you is hard. Carlie is one strong female and Devlin is remarkable! He knew he wasn't getting the full truth, but he protected Carlie and Ava like a fierce papa bear would. Spending a little time with Ethan Grimpaw the Grimpaw Alpha again was pretty awesome too.
