The Carlisle sisters were all born with a silver spoon in their mouths, and they’ve been choking on them ever since. Whitney, Paige, and Libby Carlisle are all under their mother’s watchful eye. They’re bound to graduate from a prestigious school, marry an upstanding member of their country club, and keep all that precious money in the family. But the girls have other plans. They yearn for the guys they CAN’T the bad boys unfit for Country Club brunches...even if they jeopardize the well-being of the family. * This novel follows three tales of hot forbidden love that will put any fairy tale romance to shame, proof that love is not to be denied.
This is an interesting book featuring three sisters finding love in unexpected places. Their mother has different ideas for them but they want to choose their own path. Each sister is very different but they all want a real love and are not concerned about society.
This book is in three sections which features the three Carlisle sisters: twins- Whitney and Paige, and Libby the youngest sister. The sisters' older brother Tal is getting married. The family is part of the upper crust in their Connecticut town. The first woman we get to know better is Whitney and her mother has set her up to sit with Dr. Bryce Harcourt who is a real jerk. I did not like him at all. Whitney rides a horse in competition and ends up going to the stable to see her horse and Bryce follows her. He tries to get handsy with her and Miles, the stable guy, rescues her. Of course, Bryce tries to turn it around and get Miles in trouble. These rich people are very snobby! Whitney is attracted to Miles, but he is not someone her parents, or the snobs of their community, would accept her with. There is also a back story with Miles.
The next young woman we get to know better is Paige. The head of the Carlisle family is actually the grandmother (their father's mother) who rules the roost. Her best friend Mrs. Cooper's husband died recently and Paige has offered to help with the dogs who were her husband's dogs. One day when she is over at Mrs. Cooper's she sees a handsome man working on Mrs. Cooper's pool and thinks he is the pool boy. When Paige and her sisters have lunch with their grandmother and Mrs. Cooper, she finds out he is Rafael Mrs. Cooper's nephew from Mexico. He doesn't make a good impression on the sisters at first, but Paige is attracted to him.
The last young woman we get to know is Libby. There we find the most complications with the Carlisle family and the Dubray family. Libby had a weekend with someone named Jack in New York one weekend, but left before he woke up one morning and finding out his last name. When Libby is home that summer, Jack interrupts Tal's reception and Libby realizes who she was with. The two families cannot stand each other. Add to that, Jack is known to be a screwup and womanizer. There are also some secrets from the past that makes Jack and Libby able to have a relationship almost impossible.
This was a great book. There are so many different situations going on that overlap and affect each other. There is laughter and tears in this book as well as love and betrayal. I loved getting to know all the characters and felt like I knew them personally. I encourage you to read this book. I voluntarily read an Advanced Reader's Copy of this book.
Forbidden Obsession is written in three parts, one for each Carlisle sister. Part one is about Whitney and Miles. Whitney is upper class, rich and stubborn. Miles is a stable worker and has dreams of his own. Part 2 is about Paige and Rafael. Paige and Whitney are twins. Page is the level-headed sister. Rafael owns his own family business and can appear to be cocky. Part 3 is about Libby and Jack. Libby is the youngest of the Carlisle's and has a secret of her own. Jack's life has gone to shit until he meets "Liz" during winter break.
Grab a drink and some snacks while you read Forbidden Obsession. The sisters stories are all linked together and you're about to go on a wild ride. Secrets don't always seem to stay in the past. Being wealthy means being with someone wealthy but that doesn't matter to the Carlisle sisters. They are tired of having to live up to certain standards.
Forbidden Obsession was a good read for me. I enjoyed it but I wish it was longer. The storyline/plot was awesome and I adore the characters. Libby and Jack are my favorite. Grab a copy of Forbidden Obsession you won't be disappointed.
This book details the romances of three sisters who belong to an old, respected, and very wealthy family, a family with some skeletons in it's closet, as it turns out. Two of the three become involved in romances with men that their social class deem unacceptable. There's a lot going on. I like the characters, especially the grandmother who played a big part in each story. The writing is great. The stories are really good, I just wanted there to be more to each romance. I wanted more conversation, more interaction, more details of what the characters were thinking and feeling. Regarding the book as a whole, the stories integrated with each other nicely and even though I wanted more, I enjoyed this book very much.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
First let me start out by saying I LOVE the sisters. I could not get enough of them or the men they love! I gave the book a 4 because I think each sister should have had their own book. There was such potential for full length stories on each couple. It was like 3 novellas in the story. When a new sister is introduced the previous mentioned fades to a whisper. BUT I enjoyed the read. Each relationship flows well and it turned out to be a quick read for me. I would definitely recommend the book, and each sister has a hea. I hope that the author writes more about the couple's in a follow up book, because I would definitely read it.
I voluntarily reviewed and ARC in exchange for an honest review. - The book is actually three stories in one. Three sisters,Whitney and Paige (twins) and Libby their younger sister. -Forbidden Obsession was a great read. Blake brings you into a world of privilege and duty, then turns it upside down. -My favorite of the three was Libby's story. I do want to mention Grandma also, the woman is a handful. -If you are looking for a romance that has everything, this is a must read! 18+ only -This is a new author for me and I will be looking for more of her work.
This review is from: Forbidden Obsession: (Eastfield Billionaires Club) (Kindle Edition) I voluntarily reviewed this book after receiving an advanced reading copy. I had such fun reading this book. It has lots of surprises and romance of course. It also shows family dysfunction and how they deal with it. There is drugging, assault, blackmail, and total creepiness and that is just one character! You just need to read this book. Yes, it's that good.
Meet the Carlise sister's. Whitney and Paige the twins and Libby. This is the story of how they break free from the mould there family thinks they need to fit into. Each of the sister gets their own story within the book. I do think there was the potential for each sister to have a book all of there own. I really enjoyed this book and how each sister sticks up for each other with the help of Gran of course.
I fell in love with this book. It is a three book interval each one about a different sister Paige, Whitney and Libby. My favorite sister is Libby she takes things harder then the rest and their is a lot of secrets in their family that all comes to life at the end. It is a very touching book and I plan to read plenty more from this author she has great work. *I voluntarily read an ARC and this is my honest review*
