His Man is the second installment of Graham Carson’s story in the Locked & Loaded Series. Please read The Manny, an Amazon #1 bestseller in gay fiction, before reading this book.

Everything changed after we moved. All things in Mexico became things of the heart for Leland and me.

He was a different man.

I was a different man.

And we became different men by being together.

Is that really so different than what happens to any of us when we find the person who completes us? It perfects who we are, our existence, and we become our better selves.

Our life meshed into a comfortable routine so normal we were nearly blasé. Two men—a corporate mogul and his bodyguard—committed to each other, to our work, and to raising a little girl together.

Normal. Average. Boring. Wonderful.

True, we didn’t start that way.

But that’s what we became.

And Leland is definitely my right guy.

My everything.

Our life was perfect—until it wasn’t…

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

This book was so great. It was very easy to seriously dislike Leland until literally the last couple of pages. This book was totally different than book 1 of the series, The Manny. The feel has totally changed. It's a year into Leland and Graham's relationship, they're living in Mexico, and Graham is still guarding Ella but is also her father-figure much of the time while Leland is gone traveling for work. The real problems begin when Leland brings his work home and things go downhill quickly from there. Between the CIA, FBI, terrorists, cartels, and his mother, Graham has his hands full.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS BOOK.

I have mixed feelings about this book. There's a lot of things in it that bothers me, both about the plot and the characters themselves. I wanted to like it, but... it just isn't the book for me. I was gifted a copy.

Couldn’t put it down

This is book 2 and it continues a year on from book one. There was quite a bit of angst and there were fun times too. Towards the end the big reveal happens and things start make more sense. I felt sorry for Graham because he was forever battling what his gut was telling him and the intense sensual attraction to Leland. I enjoyed Ella and Patty as secondary characters also and catching up with characters from book 1.

Every Single Book

By Susan Ward makes me weep, in a good way. This is no exception. I have been waiting for this title to come out for months, and was so excited to see it in my Kindle library yesterday. I immediately put everything else aside and jumped in. Holy hot beautiful story. Graham is a hot beautiful man, and I can't get enough of him. Excellent read.

So. Second time reading this book.

Leland still made me crazy. The kind of business he is in and getting involved with someone who is just as stubborn as he is. I guess you can't control who you love. I like stories where both MCs did their own commentary. Good story over all. Kept me glued to the book until I finished it even the second time around.

Loved it.

I really enjoyed the plot of this story. Although, I was frustrated with both Lee for his lies and Graham for always caving to Lee in bed. All in all, great ending. Will be fun to continue their story when All In is released.

Graham and Lee

I'm loving this couple. Loved Patricia and her no nonsense actions. Loved the action and how it all turned out. I did hate when the book ended😉 great series.

Disappointed in weak mc

Really disappoints me that you write strong mc only to degrad them by making them lead about by their libido.
Sad way to portray them.

Great read

I really enjoyed this book. It had me on my toes for to almost the hole book. Books don't make me cry but this book made me cry at the end . But it is a great book! I recommend it.

I really enjoyed this follow-up to The Manny and hope that there are many more books in the series. Wow, it was really hard to like Leland in this book. Graham was lovable as always. I felt really sorry for him and how much he struggled. He has such fierce commitment and to see him torn between Lee and Ella was difficult. This one had quite a bit of angst but with great story resolution. And, there is definitely room for more adventures.

I really enjoyed the second book, but one thing stopped this one from getting a higher rating, and that's because of the fact Lee always got his was, and I thought Graham acted like a girl at times, he gave in all the time when Lee threw sex at him, and never confronted him with the real issues. I liked the espionage theme to the storyline but again I felt graham lacked gumption at times, he kept saying he'll deal with it later sort of thing. I'm not sure whether I'll read the next book, cause I'm pretty happy where it ended especially with the excerpt from book 3 in the back.

Graham Carson has always been a favourite of mine, but I really didn’t like Leland in the first of Graham’s series of books away from the Parker saga. However, I think this book greatly redeemed him. He’s kept a lot of secrets and been a huge douche at times, but once we find out what he’s been up to and why, I think I have to concede he’s worthy of our Graham. Once again, any scene with Patty and her neighbours is a hoot, and I look forward to reading more about them in the next in the series.

I loved The Manny, and loved the depth of the characters, particularly Graham. I was hoping for more insight into Leland in this book but you really don't get that until the very end. Ella is so adorable, I love every scene between her and Graham. And Patricia...she is hilarious and yet always seems to get to the heart of things, in a round-about manner.

There is much to love about this book. I just wished for a little more about Leland. A third book that really delves into their relationship would be great.

I voluntarily received an ARC of this book.

This book continues the story of Graham and Leland and is so beautifully written, I felt a real connection to the characters. I devoured His Man in one sitting and laughed, cried and sighed through the humorous moments, suspense, intrigue and steamy moments. Graham's mother, Patty, was so wonderful and rounded out the plot. Susan Ward doesn't disappoint and I look forward to reading more this talented author. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Exciting! Full of twist and turns!

I loved His Man! I don't know what I was expecting but it sure wasn't this. This is one of the most exciting books I've read in a while. There's FBI, CIA, mafia, terrorist and all kinds of stuff going on. Who did what, who is lying and a bunch of I didn't see that coming. And oh yeah, its hot!
This is a great series!

I really like Graham's story and I'm glad that it is continuing in this book. They say that love makes you do stupid things and Graham ends up doing many stupid things. He is not as diligent of a bodyguard he should be because he is constantly obsessing about what Leland is doing. He ignores his gut instinct because he wants to believe in Leland so bad. When Leland brings some shady men into their house, Graham finally listens to his gut and gets Leland's daughter out of there and to his mother's house. He is so hurt because Leland just let him walk away. When things are not what they seem, Graham feels like he has to go back and save Leland, only to discover that Leland is not who he says he is and he feels so betrayed. I liked the ending and I was happy to find out that Graham and Leland will get another book.

I enjoyed this installment of the series, and though it did have a satisfying ending, I don't think it is the last piece of the puzzle for these two. At least I hope not.

I had a feeling about Leland the whole time because things weren't adding up and I kept hoping Graham would start thinking with his bigger head and not his smaller one, but alas, it took him a while to be able to do that. I loved his Mom's character and I hope we see more of her in Skyler's book which I will be reading shortly. As always, Alan Manzone finds his way into the book and he is just wonderful.

What an intense story

That book had my head bobbing from place to place. The characters were diversely confusing but in a way that they needed to be. The ongoing drama had me pulling my hair out and yet, I couldn't put the book down.

What a great story!

Better much better than the first book. Honestly I wasn’t sure I wanted to continue reading but I’m glad I did... this was definitely much better than book 1, more compelling
