Shell has heard the night whispers of a dragon calling to him for a year before he leaves his home in the grasslands. His goals are to help with the war effort, and to find a wife, perhaps even Camilla. On his journey, he meets another traveler and their plans change. The arrival of a red dragon changes them even more, but Shell must do what is right. At Fleming, he finds he missed the ship sailing to Breslau with the other Dragon Clan aboard—but that cannot stop him. He devises a new plan and plunges ahead.
What Amazon readers are saying:
"I've read all seven books in this series" "All seven books have become new friends that I will enjoy visiting many times" "Wonderfully Vivid and sympathetic characters" "love this whole series"
I've never seen a dragon, but wish I had. I live in Washington State with my wife, youngest son, and dog named Molly. I spend my time doing what I love the most: writing about an action-packed fantasy world of dragons, and magic. My leisure time is spent traveling and exploring the beautiful countryside in the Pacific Northwest from high desert to forests to coastal terrain.
In recent years, I've published over a dozen fantasy books including one called "DRAGON! Stealing the Egg" which began the idea of how to live and survive in a world where dragons are part of the landscape. The Dragon Clan Series is built on that idea. It is unique in that it introduces a new main character in each of the eight books of the series, yet continues the same storyline.
The book entitled Blade of Lies: Mica Silverthorne Story was a finalist in an Amazon national novel writer’s contest in 2013. My most recent series is The Mage’s Daughter, which is a little action and a bit of magic.
Shell nodded to them and strolled away to enter his hut, his mind focused on what to pack for his trip. [they live in wagons.]
“I plan to home when this is finished. I’ll talk some sense to Jammer then.”
He picked sticker from the fur, and a tick, throwing whatever he found in the heavy fur coat onto the fire.
“If you like your beauty tall, lanky, and dangerous.” The wolf was receiving more affection than she ever had, and Shell felt a tinge of jealousy.
The rest were in two piles, one hidden behind a board they pried from the wall, and the second above the widow, where a small opening they made and covered with the curtain.
Fun reading and I enjoy the stories but I would like to see more attention to proofreading. Spellcheck is not enough, sentence construction is important too. Bit disappointed the dragons were portrayed as unintelligent animals but that's just me!
Although each story is individual they keep you in suspense. I enjoy how each family ties together at some point he it family-friendly or family in general. I cannot wait to see how it continues to unfold.
Love that other unusual creatures are introduced as helpers. In a series with dragon bondings, adding creature and multiple bondings brings complexity and interest
I just finished the seventh in this series of action stories about dragons and and a special group of people who are bonded in their love of dragons, and are marked by pictures of dragons on their backs that they have to keep concealed by the mainstream population. Not only are they marked, but they are hunted by the King's army and people who fear the dragons, and the clan that protects them. LeRoy Clary has a knack for telling stories that keep the reader interested, and wanting to read more, and his stories are good for all ages of youngsters that like adventure. His characters are believable and well-developed. The only criticism I have is that his stories could be longer and a little more detailed, and they seem to just stop before the story is completed. Of course, that leaves room for another book in the series, and I hope he will go on to complete the main story line of another kingdom wanting to invade their land, bringing their green dragons with them, that have been trained to kill the dragons indigenous to their land.
