Her dark fantasies could rekindle their romance or shatter their last chance at love.
Cynthia Darlington won't let her dream guy walk away again. With their five-year class reunion coming up, she can't stop reliving the memory of Trent Weber's kiss—his strong hands possessing her, and her body yielding to his demanding touch. The call of her submissive nature confused her then, but now she understands. With Trent, she's willing to give in to her decadent fantasies, even if only for a weekend.
Trent can't resist the chance to see Cynthia, but he's not the love-sick kid he was. Watching her leave with barely a good-bye was enough humiliation for a lifetime. Yet one look at her now—her expression as sweet as ever, her body poured into a tight black dress—reignites his desire to master this self-assured, independent woman. A weekend of her submission isn't enough. This time, he's determined to win her heart.
This steamy BDSM romance novella is intended for a mature audience. It contains scenes of flirtation, hot kisses, seductive bowling, a spoiled sub, a demanding Dom, second thoughts, and second chances.
Andrea Dalling lives in the sexy Southeast, where the summers are hot and the romance hotter. She loves to torture her characters but eventually rewards them with a happily-ever-after.
Married to her college sweetheart, she's an ally and an advocate for LGBT rights. When she's not writing, she enjoys gardening at her Raleigh home and scuba diving in the clear blue waters of the Caribbean.

Trent was Cynthia's ex-boyfriend's best friend whom she shared an unforgettable kiss with when he was comforting her after her breakup with Rick. Frightened when he pinned her, she freed herself from his embrace and never looked back. Five years later, she now knows better and she wants a second chance to experience Trent's dominance... In their high school reunion, she seeks him out...
I always love small town romance! But...
. I had a difficult time warming up to Cynthia. She was a little dramatic most of the time. She's a self-published BDSM erotica writer but has no experience whatsoever in the lifestyle, meanwhile Trent is an equally inexperienced Dom and already wants a 24/7 Master/slave relationship? Uh, how about no, Trent, and hats off to Cynthia for putting her foot down on that account.
On the other hand I am very curious about Rick and Jordan. The chemistry is RIGHT there and the author teases us with hints! I hope they have their own book too.
I would recommend this to BDSM-curious readers and who need romance with their erotica, you might find this an enjoyable story.

Handling Cynthia is a novella length BDSM romance that is a good quick read. It's a sweet second chance romance, but it also has a spicy, sexy side to it. This book only spans a few days and takes place at a high school reunion, where Cynthia is hoping for a second chance with Trent. Five years ago she ran from him when he kissed her before they left for college as was confused by her feelings when Trent restrained her hands during the kiss. But now she has come to terms with her submissive nature and hopes for more dominance from Trent during the reunion weekend.
The chemistry between Cynthia and Trent is hot, and I enjoyed the sexual tension between them. I liked both of the main characters, although Trent did annoy me at times. He has very little experience as a Dom so makes a few mistakes with Cynthia - mainly due to listening to advice from the internet, rather than listeria to what she wants and needs. There were some steamy, well written scenes in this book which were hot, hot, hot.
I liked the author's writing style, it was easy to read and the story flowed well. I'm hoping there will be a sequel to this book so we can see what the future holds for Trent and Cynthia, as this couple definitely still have a story to tell. Handling Cynthia is an enjoyable, quick read that gets four out of five stars.

I received a complimentary review copy at my request when I saw the blurb included the phrase "erotic bowling."
Say what? Erotic bowling?
Turns out it's more flirtatious bowling. And it's well done.
This is a classic second chances story with a lot of emotional seesawing -- Do they or don't they? The twist here is that both of them are very BDSM-curious. This isn't a story of a virginal girl and a self-centered experienced Dom. Thank goodness. There are plenty of those to go around. This is a story about two people who think they want to explore aspects of their sexuality with each other, but aren't sure how to approach the topic with the other.
I found the characters interesting and the thoughts in both of their heads about how to go from friends to lovers believable.
The only part I didn't really buy is the nerdy guy in high school who is now secretly a sub. First off, what are the odds. Secondly, the really frank conversation in the hallway of a bowling alley that the heroine and the nerdy sub have about BDSM didn't seem natural to me, especially when the heroine is having a hard time dealing with her desires for her love interest.

-MAY CONTAIN SPOILERS-
Cynthia and Trent had chemistry, and with all the side glances and sexual tension it got me hooked. The sex was amazing, but at times, I myself wanted to yell at Trent. He was so pushy and unyielding, and he had minimum knowledge of bdsm but yet he wanted a 24/7 bdsm relationship. That was a no-no for me. Cynthia was so back and forth in such a short period of time. One minute she was sure of wanting to try things out with Trent, then she's missing her relationship with Rick, even though that's completely over. I wish all of the characters had more depth added to them. We got little snippets of stories from their teen years, but we never learned enough. I wanted to know more. Jordan really intrigued me. Anytime he was mentioned I got excited. I liked the banter between all the characters as well. I would have liked more affection and emotion between the two man characters, because without that I didn't feel much of a connection. Overall, though, the book was a steamy read with quite a bit of angst... At least for me :p
I liked this book. but at times Cynthia was annoying to me..then in other parts Trent annoyed me. I know BDSM is a fine line, but she wanted it, but didn't. he wanted her the way she was, but then he wanted her 24/7 powered exchange. she wanted to be spanked but then didn't. then she loved being hit with the belt at the end but says she will do whatever she can to avoid it, but she knows she can't wait until she needs it again? IDK that's confusing. and she wanted to be with him so bad, he tried to be a Dom, and take care of her at a certain time when he thought it was what she wanted, and she is then telling him she doesn't think it's going to work.
I did think they were cute together when they weren't pressuring each other to try to figure out their relationship.. and the sex scenes were hot.
Several years have passed since their lives took off in different directions. Cynthia's "then" boyfriend breaks up with her. Heartbroken she cries on his best friends shoulder which ends up in a kiss neither of them can forget. At their 5 year HS reunion the three agree to meet. BAM! Trent wants Cynthia and Cynthia wants Trent. Problem? only in their own minds. This is a spicy read full of doubt and fear that they are not ready for each other. Will they ever be? Can Trent be the dom Cynthia needs? Can Cynthia be the sub that Trent desires. Read and find out.. :)
