"He's a bad boy … and a nanny."

Holy sweet baby Jesus.

I don't know anything about taking care of kids.
I pierce nipples, navels, and noses for a living.
I've never even held a baby before. Not once. Never changed a diaper or cleaned up a skinned knee. Hell, I don't even want kids. I'm more of a drifter, a once in a lifetime lover, and then I move on.
Family? Commitment? Nuh uh, no way.

Tough sh*t, though, because my brother and his kids need me. Desperately.
I never thought to wonder if I might need them, too.
That I might need her, this strange woman I met at a playground.
Brooke Overland.
She doesn't know I'm not a professional nanny, but what am I supposed to do now?

She hired me; I took care of her sister's kids for her; I f*cked her.
My life is so screwed-up.

***BAD NANNY is a 109,000 word full-length novel with NO cliff-hanger and a happy ending. If you like sexy bad boys (with a nerdy side), hairless cats, and virgin strippers, then this is your next five star read! "BAD NANNY" EXCERPT

I cup the sides of Brooke's throat, hold that beautiful neck in my inked up hands and tilt her chin up with my thumbs. Neither one of us speaks, and it's hot as h*ll. Her breath feathers against my mouth as I hover mine inches from her face, just feeling the warm, frantic breaths that escape her lips. When her hands drop to my jeans and start to undo my belt, I wait there with a sinful smirk slashing across my lips as she lets my c*** spring free from my jeans and wraps her hand around it.
Brooke tries to kiss me, but I hold her still, both hands on her throat, thumbs gently running over her lower lip and down her chin. She makes that frantic little sound that drove me crazy last time and I press my forehead against hers, closing my eyes as I let the pleasure of her hand wash through me.
“I can't,” Brooke whispers, but I keep my hold on her, firm but gentle.
“Sure you can,” I whisper back as she strains for my lips and I let her brush against them, just enough to make her pulse jump beneath my hands. Her tongue slicks across my lower lip, but I don't let it go any further, pushing my hips forward so that my c***'s trapped between us. Brooke grapples clumsily to get the job done, but h*ll if I don't like it, if I don't push my pelvis into her touch.

Nooooooooooooooooooo ... noooo noooo noooo... it wasn't suppose to be this way !!!!! C.M Stunich is one of those authors out there who has a unique writing style and story telling technique , and her characters mostly are the really mature type who have seen a lot of shitty things in life and have dealt with a whole lot of shitty things . Her Never Trilogy ? Omg best series ever . That's why I can't help but wonder , WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED HERE ?!!!!!

I can't exactly pinpoint where this story went wrong , to be real... I don't know if I didn't like the characters, or if I didn't like the story . Mostly I had this bored the hell out expression on my face and I kept glancing at the progress bar to see if I was any close to finishing the story .. Not really sure if it's just me , not in the mood for this book , or if It was what ...I don't really know ....

60% And am Done

I really was hoping for a fun sexy read with a bad boy and I mean look at the COVER holy crap I was in love with it but it was nothing like I imagine

The story was boring Kinda stupid to be honest and to tell you the truth EVERYBODY pissed me off both MC the side character even the kids.

Oh and especially the brother holy crap I coudn't possibly hate anyone more he was barely in the book but everytime he called I wish I could go inside the book and strangled him.
after his brother leaves it all to come to his house to babysit his 4 children 2 dogs he still treated him like shit I mean ok fine they had problems growing up but The hero actually left his house, job, everything to come help him and this guy still gave him shit everytime he called

this is one his many calls to the hero
"Wow. just wow. Thanks for asking after Mercedes' parents, you asshole".
"Last Time I talked to you, you said they were stable. did something happen?"
"they are doing great actually, thank you for finally asking.

WTF he is watching your CHILDREN YOUR PETS YOUR HOUSE AND YOU GET MAD CAUSE HE DOESN'T ASK ABOUT YOUR IN-LAWS!!!

and if things coudn't get any worse
"I got a call from our tenant. He's moving out today I need you to go over and check the place out, make sure it's clean and then get it posted on craiglist for me."

THIS MAN IS ALREADY WATCHING YOUR HORRIBLE CHILDREN AND FUCKING PETS AND YOU WANT HIM TO DO ALL THIS AS WELL?????

there was a lot more in the call even asking him to pay for the doctors visit I just coudn't deal with it anymore

And yes, once again I got sucked in by the cover!

Overall I did enjoy this.

However, the hero to start came across like a bit of a dick, but I ended up actually liking him in all his pierced, tattooed nerdy pop song loving glory! Even if his character was a bit OTT at times.

The heroine I am not sure I every really warmed to, she goes on about how she sacrificed to come and look after her sisters kids, dumps them on the first random stranger she meets practically. She was just for me a touch too judgmental and superior and ungrateful quite frankly. Ok so she improved, but I did not warm up to her as much as the hero.

But then she was not as bad as the hero's brother, I hated that guy.

I also somehow missed this was a trilogy, and probably will actually read the second. As I warmed to the hero and heroine as a couple toward the end, and do want to see what happens.

Man, just disappointment and sadness all round. I waited SO FUCKING LONG for this book and one clicked the crap out of this.

And then... dun dun DUN!

There is absolutely nothing wrong with this book. The writing is good and the hero is cocky and tattoed- just the way I like them. I just don't have the calm inside of myself to sit through yet another book with the above being a feature. Just can't.

Hopefully I can get back to this one and fisnish once I've cleansed myself of the

*2.5 maybe 3, I got pulled in by that cover, stars*

This one wasn't bad, I liked the concept but it just was so freaking slow. I didn't know that it was going to be a trilogy about the same characters but still, it could have had a faster pace. Like this is 28 chapters, and in that 28 chapters is only 2 weeks. And the characters were so hung up on not falling in love because of the whole virgin thing. They mention it over and over like, "Just cause he's my first doesn't mean I'm going to fall in love with him" or "Just cause I was her first doesn't mean I love her" They bring it up over and over and it got old real fast. And at times I felt the dialogue was awkward and I would think to myself "Why would you say that? You make no sense" I don't know, I guess I just wasn't feeling the chemistry between them. The kids were super cute though, I actually would have liked more interaction with them instead of interaction with the H&h.

Overall not sure if I'll read the next one, and not sure I'd recommend it to anyone for anything but some real nice cover porn.

56% and it's about it for me

It was a case of I did it for the cover, ok? Dont judge :) I know it might be an unpopular opinion with this, but...
It was bad for me. The main characters were stupid, and oh so annoying. The first few chapters were a total mess, I was trying to figure out what am I reading. The plot, and the reasons why everything was happening were just so weird, and dumb. Also I truly was waiting for some cataclysm with their constant bad luck...Things that were supposed to be funny weren't. I thought about finishing it, and rating it 1 star, but I just didn't saw the point in doing that, and my eyes started to hurt from rolling them so much.

Some warnings, because this might concern some readers:

I've waited months, MONTHS.
And it's out! Today!
I mean, have you seen THIS COVER *drools*

And I've officially been staring at it waaay too long.
Get a grip Brenda.

~.~.~.~.~.~.~

Dang it.
I was so happy to finally start this one, but it was a real disappointing mess.

My expectations were too high. I blame it on the cover and the wait I had to endure for this book.

I mean, I was READY to love it.
It was funny enough, made me smile, but the characters just wouldn't hit it off, no chemistry, no bond, no nooooothing.

The story starts with the hero, Zayden, which is not an actual hero, but a 12 year-old trapped in the body of a grown man (grown only figuratively speaking, he's supposed to be 29), and said hero is having a sexual encounter with another woman. A woman who's not the heroine.
Said woman is mentioned throughout the book even when Zayden meets Brooke, the heroine.

It was boring at times, frustrating because there were kids creating madness at every corner and that had me cringing quite a lot (and I love kids, those just weren't normal kids but little demons), and very slow, the plot was forced and uneventful, and I almost DNF it at every turn, and finished it just because I allowed myself some skimming. And skimming I did.

Sorry it wasn't for me, sorry that I couldn't create a bond with the characters, I really wanted to like this one :(

It's another case of "it's not you, it's me". I'm sure some people can overlook the OW situation and the status of Zayden's internal age.

This was my first book by C.M Stunich and I laughed my butt off. These two are fun to read about. They are both a hot mess. Lol.

Zayden Roth gets a call from his brother to help watch his kids, 14 hrs away. Zayden is a body piercer in Vegas. He's a pure bachelor, living life in the fast lane so to say. When Zayden goes to a park he meets Brooke.

Brooke had to move to Eureka to help take care of her two nieces because her sister took off. When she meets Zay she thinks he's a nanny. Once these two connect you will laugh your butt off and hold on because it's a bumpy ride.

The kids in the story are too funny and a little bit of brats. That's what makes it so funny.

The sexy bits are hot! When they both give into their feelings nothing can stop them.

This book was a bit weird for me but also kind of cute in a way. The sexy scenes were real sexy but the plot was kind of messed up, I don't know... it just didn't call to me, both the characters and the development of the story were lacking something even though the plot was a big jungle of a mess. Ugh, I seriously don't know how to explain my feeling towards this book. I had said I'd either hate or love it and well, I lied. I neither hated it or love it. It was just something I felt like I had to power through, it wasn't that bad but it wasn't good either, you feel me? No? That's fine.

Sweet and Sexy Story

What does a 22 year old virgin brainiac and a 29 year old body piercer have in common? How about 6 kids, 4 dogs 1 sweater wearing hairless cat and enough chemistry to make this a laugh out loud fun and hot story. Can't wait to read more Zayden and Brook in the next book in their trilogy.

Hahahahaha, all I can do is laugh at this book! From reading the description we know we're going to get hot and funny and this book was a whole combination! Nerdy bad boy meets stripper in the laugh until you cry IL romance! Need less to say I caught the IL real quick!

Zayden was great. He is a total bad boy but deep down he's adorable and nerdy I'm some ways. Total swoon! His inner monologue had me laughing so hard!

Poor Brooke is in a situation that she never would have dreamed and although it's frustrating she pulls it off the best way she knew how. She was funny and super smart.

There's something about a man with kids, babysitting kids, or anything to do with kids and he hero was no different! It was fun to watch him navigate the whole children thing. Both main characters were thrust into something they weren't prepared for and it was a fun ride watching them handle kids.

Overall this is a more laid back story with some drama but the only tears I had were from laughing so hard. I loved the characters and how well they meshed together. The ending was super cute. I can't wait to see what else this series will have to offer! So if your in the mood for a hero with a different approach, a heroine with determination and heart, and a story that will make you laugh till the end, then get this book! You won't be sorry! 4.5 stars #2OCCJD

From the moment I saw this drool-worthy cover my hormones started running amok. I was captivated by the manliness and badassery it exuded which had me willing to overlook some of the flaws of this book. By the turn of the final page I was content, waiting for more of a culmination to this couple's story, but aware of the imperfections that kept this from being a great book.

Zayden Roth is a free spirit who's never done what's expected. He's a tattooed and pierced sex god who goes through women like Kleenex as he detests the idea of commitment. He likes his life in Vegas that's one fun time after another with a variety of women clamoring for his attention, a life that's orderly where he only has to take carry of himself and his sweater-wearing hairless cat. When his brother calls him out of the blue for help in watching his kids for a few weeks Zayden expects the worst (which he gets) but also gets an eye-opening look into his heart and the chance to be an adult for once. Meeting Brooke gives him a glimpse of someone very different from himself, but it's those differences that draws him to her. Being around her shows him that he can be so much more than his reputation allows. Brooke brings out a supportive side to him, a side that has him sacrificing to help someone he's coming to care for. He's truly drool-worthy with a bit of geekiness to him. He's a bit arrogant at times, a bit crass when discussing other women with Brooke, but I still found myself drawn to him. He's clearly uncomfortable taking care of children early on but quickly shows himself able to adapt and roll with the kid's contrary natures in charming yet laughable interactions. He and Brooke are a combustible couple from the moment they meet. She's unlike any other woman he's been with before as she's a bit nerdy and naive. He's a sounding board for her, helping her when she needs him most, but has no easy answers for her situation. He acts casual at the start of their relationship but quickly becomes a bit jealous and proprietary as he's her teacher when it comes to sex. In oh so many ways Zayden's a jerk, a naughty boy caught in a man's body, but I still found myself drawn to him...warts and all.

Brooke's always been the good girl, the one to do everything her parents wanted, but never to get the recognition. With her sister's latest abandonment of her children Brooke's the only one left to pick up the pieces as her parents are out of the country and oblivious to all that's transpired. Brooke left her life behind to care for her nieces, alone and trying to juggle school and a job as a stripper which she's having trouble coming to terms with. She's smart and loyal...and untried when it comes to the opposite sex. That's part of what draws her to Zayden the first time she sees him. He's everything she's not as he never does the expected, unlike her. He's lived his life as a sexual smorgasbord while she's still inexperienced but longs to take a walk on the wild side with him. Brooke's got a high IQ but she does some very silly things. Her choosing a man she just met as a caregiver for her nieces is dangerous and unrealistic. Letting him practically live with her after just a few days of conversation is also reckless. She had a lot of book smarts but when it came to real life she seemed ill-equipped to handle much of anything as Zayden took care of six kids as well as cooking, cleaning, and managed a menagerie of poorly-behaved pets. Overall Brooke's a nice girl just trying to clean up her sister's mess. There were times I was left frustrated by her not standing up for herself, but then she'd do something in support of herself or her nieces that left me cheering.

This is an erotically-charged romance of opposites attracting that's very rough around the edges with over-the-top actions and melodramatic moments. With such a simple premise, and not a lot really happening, the story is bit too long too. The beginning is a bit jarring as well with Zayden's bedroom aerobics with another woman giving readers a glimpse of his unappealing side. Despite that he's super sexy and a master of dirty talk in and out of the bedroom, only acting like a gentleman occasionally. He likes being accountable only to himself but was surprisingly competent when forced into caring for his nieces and nephews. Brooke's smart in some respects but without Zayden I truly don't know what she would've done as he helped her in so many ways. Their interactions with the children vividly depicted the chaos of parenting, all the good and the bad. Some of the children were sweet and easygoing while others were nothing but trouble. Most romances push kids into the background but here they were front and center alongside an increasingly scorching romance. The erotic encounters showed Zayden clearly the more educated with Brooke just enjoying the ride in scenes that overtook the narrative in their frequency. While the main characters, and most of the secondary characters, were entertaining I had major problems with Zayden's brother who was unappreciative and belittling of his younger brother. He was ungrateful and judgmental and I wholeheartedly detested him despite his obvious love for his children. The ending too was a bit frustrating as things could've easily ended with its HFN conclusion, but the author's chosen to drag the story out unnecessarily in a sequel. Despite its issues this was a romance that I enjoyed and that will have me coming back for more. Ultimately it's not a great book, but it is one that you can't help but get caught up in.

BAD NANNY
by C.M. Stunich

5 out of 5 stars!

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED THIS BOOK!

This is a story of two very different people whose wide gap does not only include age but most importantly, personality and commitment issues. How they managed to bridge that gaping hole, is a discovery every reader shouldn't miss!

Zayden Roth is a magnificent creature whose extreme magnetism jumps out of the pages and explodes in your eyes. He is rough, crass and crude, he is shameless, and he is a sweet, street-smart human with a heart of gold. Brooke Overland's character is an odd yet real-life mixture of strength and weakness, logic and emotion, intelligence and naivete.

I lost count of the times I laughed reading this book. It's definitely more than twenty! The kids and the animals were bratty and comedic, as well as the other minor characters. I find it awesome how the author made some of the sex act descriptions hilariously crazy at times because they didn't come off as trashy, mindless depictions like some erotica books do. This book is easy and fun to read!

The love that Zay and Brooke eventually felt for each other was perfectly developed by the writer. Their love story may have started off in the wrong foot, but love does indeed slowly blossom in ways we never expect, nor want to. Brooke showed her intelligence and strength when she accepted it the moment she realized it and wanted to make it work. Zayden's denial of his feelings and his desire to escape it at first didn't make me think less of him. It only proved his selfless concern for her, which just goes to show that his love for her is not fleeting or temporary, but deep and lasting.

The author's way of narrating the intimate scenes between Zay and Brooke involved not only their bodies but their emotional sensitivities as well, which helped justify the writer's portrayal of the growing, deepening feelings they have for each other. Others would call theirs an IL (insta-love) but to me, it isn't. Their love grew with their eyes open to each other's flaws and weaknesses and learning to accept them wholeheartedly.

This book left me smiling and swooning. It also reminded me a lesson: that we really shouldn't judge people by the way they look or dress or carry themselves, or what work they do. Underneath all his tattooed and pierced skin, Nanny Roth is one decent man. And Brooke's exposed, stripper's body is in reality, fully cloaked with a sense of responsibility and conviction for such a young age.

Definitely one of the best books I've read.

Many thanks to Xpresso Book Tours for granting me this review opportunity.

I give this book 3.5/5 trampolines.

Nanny - noun: a person, typically a woman, employed to care for a child in its own home. So, what do you call a guy, tattooed and pierced, who is tasked to look after six kids? Wait, he knows nothing about kids at all, except that they are little devils. This sounds like a disaster-in-the-making. A very, very bad idea.

Zayden and Brooke are both thrown into a situation by their siblings without a choice. Zayden, being the only person his brother can depend on, was forced to look after his two nieces and twin nephews. His brother and his wife needed to fly to South Africa because his sister-in-laws parents were in an accident. Brooke, on the other hand, is a student finishing her Masters, forced to pick up the responsibility of her drug addict sister who went off with her boyfriend. Brooke can't just leave her two nieces, so she took the responsibility of mothering them.

Of these two, I felt sorry for Brooke. She seemed like she was dealt with a bad hand. She had to juggle school, with taking care of her nieces and finding a job. As with Zayden's case, I was more worried for the kids. For their well-being under their care-free uncle. But in the end, it all worked out. As it turned out, Zayden actually gained a lot of perspective and learned a host of things from his experiences with the little devils. Zayden, is all just roar and no bite. He is a toughie outside but is actually a softy with a heart as soft as a marshmallow and a real good guy. It took six rowdy kids and a clueless girl to make him see things in life differently and change his lifestyle.

Ah, Zayden is such a darling. I'd take his tattoos and piercings over a clean-cut guy who only cares about himself. Zayden, even with his happy-go-lucky lifestyle, he would leave everything to rescue his brother who needed a hand. His mouth could fill a curse money jar to the brim but he has a weakness to women in distress. He calls it a white knight syndrome. He will drop everything without bashing an eyelash to help any woman in distress. I would volunteer to experience this white knight syndrome thingy first hand. And he is a natural with kids. Who wouldn't want that in a guy?

For all the unfortunate things that happened to Brooke, meeting Zayden was the best thing. Zayden turned out to be his knight-in-a-shining-armor, literally and figuratively. He was all she needed to survive the fate that was forcibly entrusted to her.

I really enjoyed reading this story. Zayden is a character you can't help but fall for. I love would love hear more of Zayden. I give this book 3.5/5 trampolines. Like just jumping on a trampoline, the jumping will wake up all the blood vessels in your entire body. This story did just the same.
This will make you feel alive whether with amusement or of being in love with Zayden. The kids are so cute also. I love Sadie, the most. She is such a sweetie. I can just imagine pinching her cheeks.

Adulting. The act of being a boring, tightwad with no personality and nothing to do but bitch.

Excellent book! Hot, sexy and naughty! A great description of the characters and the scenes ;)

Love the story line, very refreshing and new.

A story you should read. The nanny is a man, a nerdy, sexy and all you need kind of man.

Zayden is a body piercer that lives in Vegas. He brother needs him to take care of his 4 kids for 2 weeks and Zayden been the guy that he is accepts even though he does not have a clue how to keep them alive. (Let me tell you they are little monsters, except Sadie the baby, she is cute.)

Brooke had to return to her home town because her big sister, her amazing sister decided to skip town leaving her 2 daughters behind. Her parents had a trip planned, also her dad has alzheimer and this could be his first and only trip outside the states. So she had to move and start her masters in another university instead of Berkeley. She is in need of a job (desperately), she tried to find something but other than stripping she find nothing. Now she needs a babysitter for her kids.

They meet in a park and he lamely tells her he is the nanny and she believe. He accepts the job because she says she would look for one in CRAIGLIST, that desperate is she. The attraction is there, in buckets. In the first night on the job he finds her crying before she have to go to jer job. Brooke confess that she don't want to become a stripper and that she is a virgin!!!!! One thing lead to the other and yeap she is a virgin no more.

Thats how this love story starts. The first, middle and last part to have to read it. Seriously READ IT!!!!!

Just like other books by C.M. Stunich, this one is definitely COLORFUL and ZANY! I have to say that I adored this cover as well as the premise of the story. I mean, a male nanny...a male, tattooed, bad boy nanny?? That's awesome, even if he became a nanny by accident! Ms. Stunich is great at twisting things around and pushing past the norm and Zayden is a perfect example. He was NOT what I expected and I loved that. I imagined he looked like the wrestling announcer, Corey Graves (I have three boys, wrestling is always on). Zay often came off as a tough jerk, a carefree bad boy but underneath he was a hilarious, reluctant sweetie with a soft heart. Brooke was confused and scared but not timid, in fact, I admired her tenacity. She needed to be strong to handle her situation with her family and the budding relationship with Zay. This story is funny and easy to read with witty banter and some REALLY spicy (and imaginative) sexiness thrown in! There's a soft cliffhanger but the next installment is already out so I'll be reading that soon! Told from dual POVs with a happy for now ending.

I bought this book because C.M. is my favorite author & I've devoured most of her ebooks so I went on a binge & bought some that are just on paperback now. The blurb sucked me in & seemed like a good palate cleanser to all the dark books I've been reading. I was not disappointed! This book is an older book of hers & if you've read her more recently published books you can see the writing growth from then to now but that didn't take away any from the story or the characters. I personally love rom-coms so this was right up my alley. I thought the "nanny" side of things was similar to The Pacifer movie, in the aspect of a "not kid" person coming to wrangler some wild kids. While I liked Brooke, I loved Zayden! I thought he was sweet & respectful throughout the book! Z & B together were great! The growth between the relationship with Zay & the kids was fantastic to see. I think his brother is a ungrateful jerk! It has become my favorite underrated CM book & I would love to see more from these characters!

This book was light and fun.
The Nanny was a man in his late 20s very late 20s living in Las Vegas. A manwhore with tattoos and piercings. But end up being a nanny. But he wasn't alone by being with kids all day long. So there was another theme into this story, money. But the money was linked to family and duties. This book wasn't about the struggles of life due to money that would land to a job that wouldn't fit oneself. It wasn't the contrary. Just another twist. Struggles in life because still in school, finishing it to have a better life, just not yet. A man that looked so careless with a knight syndrome landing to a more duty life.
This book was sweet, quite humorous, not all love and shining, not people with load of dollars sign. Normal people, quite normal job, not extravaganzas but deal with unexpected in short time.
