Julia Blake has given up on love. At least the type she reads about in her favorite romance novels. There’s no knight in shining armor anywhere in her life and the most stable relationship she has is with the pizza delivery boy. She has thrown herself into her career as a children’s social worker and is constantly searching for a forever family for her favorite foster child, Peter. Things begin to change for Julia when Peter loses another foster placement and she is forced to find him a new home. But doing so will mean digging up a painful secret and letting the man who shares her hidden wounds back into her life. Balancing love and walking the tightrope of the foster care system will push Julia to her limits, but she just may find her knight in shining armor and her own forever family too.
I loved this book and I read Marcy Neil Hanson's other book too. I loved the God factor she puts in her books too! She is so real and yet I love the romance, which is not too revealing but just enough to give you butterflies and make you smile. I love that she used a strong female lead. I can't wait until she writes more, I'll read all her books!
