3.8 Stars Capturing His Omega's Heart
This is the first of five books in the Captive Alphas series. I've been purchasing the books in this series over several months and finally felt in the mood for a Wolf shifter tale. A shorter story than the very lengthy & enjoyable books I've been reading lately. I am reading Jane Perky for the first time...finally justifying my belief in her story telling prowess. I own twenty of her books consisting of most of the books in her different sets of series. Coming soon from Siren / Bookstrand to Amazon is a Manny series by Jane that I am especially eager to read. I am a sucker for Manny stories.

Jagger, Book One of Captive Alphas is raw - not sexually, but emotionally. What these young teens and adults are forced to endure under the evil eye of a cruel mad scientist & his team is chronicled by this author. They are tortured, confined in a steel barred cage, collared, and forced to perform assassination assignments under threat of death. These Alphas have been harvested from various packs, most of whom do not survive.

Being subjugated to a mad man has been very difficult for Jagger, but he has learned to hide his deep seated rage & any other feelings, otherwise he wouldn't have lived as long as managed. Little did he know his life was on a collision course with a beautiful young Omega named Max. He lived in his own gilded cage, his purity guarded until the time came for it to be bargained away to the highest bidder. Max never imagined his destiny would become entwined with a a huge dangerous remorseless Alpha.

But Max was about to trade one prison for another - more horrible than he could comprehend. This is the opening salvo in a series of the savage world of Wolf shifters and Humans that Hate Paranormals.

I'm not completely sold on this...

I think more cus I'm having difficulty imagining where this can actually go in the storyline. If these guys have to 'escape' one by one it just seems like that kind of pattern would quickly be noticed and put an end to. Then, once they figure out how to get out of this situation of captivity and bringing the omega along for the ride, the timeline jumps ahead 6 months to epilogue. There's not a lot of together time and there's no type of details on getting them to the 6mo jump or how Jagger is still in contact with Damon..

I guess, seeing how the next book irons out some deets and gives an idea where this is headed will decide if I can continue.
