When Daphne Dru gets a phone call in the middle of the night from her Alpha’s son, she can’t imagine just how life changing that call will be. Daphne's friend is in danger and so is the life of her unborn child. Only she not just a friend, Katherine LaFlamme is the first born daughter of the other North American Alpha.
Katherine’s family is danger but no one can pin down the source. More than one hunter has been spotted around Katherine’s family home, people and wolves have been dying, and the ruling structure of North America is shifting.
Daphne offers sanctuary until the baby is born and it’s safe enough to return home. Thrown together, Daphne and Keme do their best to focus on their friends’ safety, despite the intense chemistry that ignites between them.
Just when they think they’re safe, an old enemy resurfaces and, once again, Katherine’s life is in peril, but now it’s not just her and Quinn fighting back. Daphne and Keme are swept up in a storm of ancient lies that might just leave wolfkind changed forever.
It started with an early morning call from Keme, the Alpha's heir. Hunters had been spotted, and with Katherine, a daughter of an alpha, due to give birth at any time, the need to protect her was high. Katherine was insistent she needed to disappear, and Daphne was the logical solution. Quinn, Katherine's soulmate had been born a dreamer, he had seen a prophecy of a woman who would give birth to a new line of Guardians, that woman is Katherine, and there is a proven danger to her and her child. But the motives behind the attacks remain unclear, do they wish to extinguish this new line of Guardians, or sire and control them?
Filled with playful banter and everyday situations My Brother's Keeper makes for an enjoyable read. Light tones intermingled with dark and emotional scenes which add depth not only to the plot, but the characters and their growing relationships. The shifter part of the tale is handled nicely, never feeling forced or overdone as it often can with books of this genre. By the end you feel you have walked the journey beside them, relishing in every twist, and every unearthed secret and revelation.
This book 2 was just as good if not better than the first one Blood of Eden. It made me sweat, made me mad, made me jump for joy, made me cry and left me in shock!

The second book in this wicked good series brings back Keme into play. Keme is helping to keep Katherine LaFlamme, Quinn and their unborn child safe. They turn to Daphne Dru to help them and hide them from unseen forces that are attacking the wolves and their way of life. Daphne is of course trying to help figure out what's going on, keep the daughter of the Alpha safe and trying to decide if it's smart to get involved with Keme or not. Sometimes fate decides. Come along for a wicked good ride in this story that is sexy, hot, and steamy in all the right places. It has mystery and intrigue and is sure to keep you reading until the very end! I know I couldn't put it down.
OMG! I loved the first book but this second book is even better! Drawn in from the very start this is action packed and will take you on a rollercoaster ride filled with emotions. Great storyline, fantastic characters this is a fab paranormal series that I would definitely recommend!
After reading the first in this series I had high hopes for this book. The first book had grabbed my attention from early on and held it until the last page. Unfortunately this book, the second of the series, didn't manage to do that. While the overall plot was really quite decent, the main voice of the narrative frequently jumped between characters. This I found to be more than a little distracting, but just attributed this to King's style of writing vs the style of writing I prefer to read. I will admit there were times I chose to skim paragraphs here and there as it contained descriptive detail that was down to the minutiae that felt almost tedious. Really enjoyed the reveal of the alpha and what actually occurs during the trials. Found this interesting, and am looking forwards to finding more about Katherine's glowing eyes!
My Brother's Keeper by JJ King is a book I could not put down. I picked this 2nd book up in the series like I did the first one and could not put it down till I was done with it. I love it so much so many unexpected things happen at one time it is so good. I love all the characters and love that the females are as strong willed as the males and that they do not take 2nd in anything really in this book, I highly recommend this book and the author JJ King to everyone this authors books you won't be able to put down.

Oh I'm so happy that I got to continue with this series. JJ Kings shifter world is fantastic.
There were parts of this second installment that had me squealing from excitement (can't tell you why without spoiling details!) and other parts that broke my heart (again, can't tell you). However I found I needed just a little bit more, some things were a little evasive while others were extremely detail oriented, not sure if this is because there is a 3rd book and things will be clued up or not but I guess we will see! :)
I look forward to reading book 3 to see what happens!
I loved this book. It continued seamlessly from the previous book. The book is well written and the story and characters are well developed. I love seeing the character dynamics develop and evolve through the book. The story was action packed and full of twists and turns. It had plenty of suspense, intrigue, emotion, hot chemistry and romance. I’ve loved how the book continued with Katherine and Quinn’s story but also included another romance between friends of theirs. I’d highly recommend this book and I look forward to the final book in this trilogy!!
This well-written and amazing second book in this series is as good if not better than the first. The characters in this book are smart, strong, protective and have great chemistry. This story is action packed, full of intrigue, suspense, emotionally charged and has romance. The story is very entertaining and I will have to read book one and any others after this one. A must read.

Keme calls Daphne to say that Katherine is in danger and needs a safe place to hide. Daphne agrees to have them all stay with her. When Katherine, Quinn and Keme get there Katherine fills her in on what has been going. Daphne is worried about Katherine and her unborn baby. I will not say more i don't want to give it away.
Adult content, reader discretion advised. Katherine is pregnant and Quinn has gone into hiding with the protection of Keme, the son of the CO-Alpha. They take refuge with Daphne, Keane’s clan lawyer. While gone Katherine gives birth, but only weeks after delivery they all must run again. Now some family is gone forever and new family is introduced.
Another great book in The Guardians series! This one is from Keme & Daphne's point of view. I couldn't put the book down and the end had me in tears! I can't wait to read the third book in the series!
Loved following the growth of the relationship between Daphne and Keme and the continuation of Katherine and Quinn's story. That bombshell at the end I wasn't expecting that !!!!
This is a fantastic and exciting addition to the series. I love the growth and development of Keme and Daphne's relationship but also Kathrine and Quinn. This is very well written, and has great twist and turns even at the end.

Some bits of this are unbearably saccharin, and the motherhood clichés are thick on the ground. In fact a large proportion of the book is one long motherhood cliché. Hoping that there'll be a bit more action and less sentimentality in the next one.
I gave this book 4 stars because the editing was not so good. I can ignore a few typos but it was enough to annoy me. Good story with amazing characters and I absolutely love little Eve
I really enjoyed this one too. I loved how the First Nations of Canada were introduced. Each character is so special in there own way. When Daphne finally gave into Keme I was happy.
Took me a bit to get into the book (again) but it is worth reading. I had the same problem with the first book, but then I can't put it down. Fair warning, it does end in a cliff hanger!
The story of Katherine LaFlamme's escape from Raphael and the birth of her and Quinn's daughter Eve. It also includes the story of good friend Daphne and Keme Littlefoot the son of the
