Cute and sweet holiday novella. Donna has come back to Chamelot, where she grew up, to provide home health care for Granny Chauvin. She has a run-in with Jake Benedict, a guy she had a crush on back when she lived in Chamelot, but he doesn't seem to remember her. Jake gets roped into giving his Christmas tree to Granny Chauvin, doing repairs on her house and helping to put on a Christmas party, all while keeping his feelings for Donna at bay (who he does recognize but thinks she doesn't recognize him!) 3.5 holiday stars!
I've read the other Louisiana Knights books and truly enjoyed them. This book was standalone and just as sweet as pie. It was also like a visit from old friends, with many returning characters. If you're looking for a darling holiday story, with a lovely HEA ENDING, you've FOUND it. Look no further
They fell in love one night long ago but were too young. He made a choice to not take what she so willingly offered and she went away heart broken. Years later they reunited with the help of an old lady who used her injury to bring them back together. Jennifer Blake has used her skill as an author to bring this town to life with vivid characters and love. I would recommend this book and the series to all of those that believe in love and small towns.
Getting caught trying to steal a tree for Christmas is not the best way to rekindle an old flame, but that's what Donna was doing when Jake stopped her. Her mission was to make a wonderful Christmas for her 90-year-old patient she cares for. It seems Jake has a soft spot for "Granny," too. A plan comes together to make it the best Christmas, ever, for Granny and for them, too. Wonderful story. I loved it.
Donna and Jake make the perfect Christmas couple in this delightful romance. There's a bit of history between them which reignites when he catches her trying to take the tree he wants for Christmas. This was a wonderful ending to the Knights of Chamelot series, filled with all the lovely characters and small town charm we've come to expect.
This is a sweet, tender, heart warming, second chance, Christmas story. I am enjoying the Louisiana Knights, the Benedict men. If you are looking for a HEA quick read this one is for you. I look forward to reading the next book.
I enjoy those Benedict men, Granny Chauvin and the others but found myself getting bored the second half of the book. I'll give future books a try as the first three were quite good.
Christmas Knight: A Holiday Novella by Jennifer Blake is a fairly short read, a great choice for those with limited time for reading. Ms Blake has gifted us with a well written book. The characters are fantastic. Donna and Jake's story is filled with drama, humor and sexy bits. I enjoyed this book and look forward to reading more from Jennifer Blake in the future. Christmas Knight is book 4 of the Louisiana Knights Series but can be read as a standalone. This is a complete story, not a cliff-hanger.
The book is a quick read.. just the thing when you need a quick minute to your self in the busy days before Christmas. So sit down with a cup of tea and enjoy... Merry Christmas
Nothing like sweet missed love coming back around to something so new and real and alive. With the help of an elderly matchmaker the two main characters remember what could have been and agonize over what was lost to realize their love is still as strong now as then.
What an amazing series. I just love how the author took a classic, Camelot, and turned into a modern day tale of four southern 'Knights' finding their own love stories. The characters of this story are great. Jake and Donna made me laugh, cry and fuss at their stupid moments. I'm happy that I finally got to read the final story but sad at the same time that it's over. Well done, to the author.
They kissed when they were in their teens, she moved away. She's back as a care nurse and still loves him, but he isn't quite ready to make a move. But Granny helps them have a very Merry Christmas
This was a feel-good Christmas love story. A young love that matured into a lasting love. The meddling granny and two young people who didn't know they were in love
Quick, sweet, thoughtful read that falls 4th in the series but need not worry we get glimpses of the rest of the Benedict men whose HEA's came before Jakes.
