“Sienna, trust me things will get better. Just take my hand sweetheart. Do you trust me?” he asked with his hand outstretched longingly. Her fingers itched to touch him as always but she clenched her fists and held them by her side and slowly shook her head. Why wouldn’t he just give up on her? Everyone else had. “Logan you have to go! MOVE NOW!” she shrieked as the freight train moved dangerously close.
“I’M NOT GOING ANYWHERE WITHOUT YOU!” he hollered over the sound of the train’s screeching brakes and threw her over his left shoulder and bounded upwards on to the platform, shielding her body with his as the train grazed past them grinding to a final halt…it had been too late.
Tragedy. Death. Love. Insanity. Clarity. Bedlam.
Those six little words pretty much summed up Sienna Rivers’ life. Now dealing with the aftermath of her father’s suicide, she must battle against depression and her pain, face the startling secrets Phil Rivers left behind, struggle with her mother’s startling revelations and attempt at living a normal life with her adoring boyfriend Logan Jackson, including meeting his parents, Senator Jackson and his none too pleasing trophy wife Grace Jackson at their glorious white mansion by the lake. No pressure.
Sienna and Logan’s love seems to be stronger than ever before but will Logan be able to forgive Sienna after her fateful life-threatening mistake, and more importantly will they be able to survive the ramifications of her actions? And will Sienna be able to forgive Logan after he tells her of the reason he left Haven Falls in the first place?
I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this book! I struggled with the first one, but this one was much more entertaining!
Sienna was absolutely nuts in this book, but to be perfectly honest, I didn’t blame her. Her mother acted like a total b*tch and tried to make everyone believe she was crazy, her sister’s blamed her for her father’s suicide, I couldn’t quite believe the way her mother and sister’s treated her, and I think I’d have gone off the deep end too.
The storyline in this was full of surprises! I loved that I didn’t know what was coming next, it made this story so interesting, even if the question over whether Sienna had some sort of supernatural ability wasn’t really cleared up.
I actually want to read the last book now and see how it ends. Shame it’s no longer on Kindle Unlimited ☹ 7 out of 10
Young love! To be that age and fine your first love.
It was a great read. I will be looking into reading book 3. Can't wait to see what happens to Logan and Sienna in there senior year.
A few errors but nothing major. I was able to follow it without any trouble. It was fast paced, several twists and turns. A lot of sadness and crying. Normally I hate crying, but this was sort was understandable.
There's still the question about her father. As well as her visions. This book was more on finding love than the original thought I had when I picked up the first book, which was, paranormal, scary, holloween themed. Anyway, the story is still good and the dead birds she sees is still creepy!
