The Tragedy of Power

Rate this book
Set in the modern day, The Tragedy of Power seems at first glance contemporary fiction; everything is "normal," with one exception. A girl is born with the ability to cure anyone she physically touches of any ailment. Cancer? Easy. Gunshot? No problem. The Tragedy of Power is half her story; a gritty, violent thriller, and half the story of how the world reacts to her. Lauren is part hero, part villain. Lauren faces complex issues byond the norm for a girl her age; Does her moral responsibility to use her power for good override her desire to be free and live the life she chooses? Alcoholism, abuse, depression, self-harm, religious persecution and manipulation, all find their home here, paired with a well-researched setting. And of course, there's plenty of action, violence, and excitement to keep things interesting. You'll find the Tragedy of Power gripping, and hard to put down.

This book was awesome! The writing and word building were superb. Descriptive and detailed, you can imagine yourself being part of the work he created.
The pacing was perfect for the plot line and character growth. The characters were believable and true to life , in a fantasy fiction novel, of course.
I look forward to reading more of his works. 5/5!
