I really liked this as a daily reading book! The author provides concise descriptions for a wide range of historical events, from heady historical milestones like the start of the United Nations (January 1) to the official purchase of the game Monopoly by Parker Brothers (December 31.)

The writing is concise and accessible and fully informs the reader in a single page re the event.

I didn't really curt and paste anything from the book into my journal, but liked it enough to buy the sequel for my 2023 daily reading practice.

This seemed overly heavy on military and politics, which though extremely important and prevalent in history, should not overshadow so much. There were some interesting spots here and there, but it just didn't live up to what I had hoped.

Fact-a-day

Easy way to provide yourself a tidbit of information you might've, but probably didn't know, each day, and connect it to the date. My personal method was to read each on it's date, because ... well I guess it was laid out that way 🤔😉

A great coffee table book. I enjoyed the fact that I could just dip in and read about an event or fact that happened on a specific day, some recent and some much more historical. This is a really good trivia book for people who are members of quiz teams, it will enhance your knowledge.

Each even is well researched and concise. Five minutes a day and I have learned many new things.

A really good Christmas stocking filler

Interesting little bits of trivia. Each page is a different day. Some events are more well known than others - which is part of the fun. The events seem to be well researched and well summarized.
