That’s exactly what Charlotte was for Brock Nelson. He was the ultimate playboy, taking all the risks and living the life without pausing to see the destruction he was causing.
But Charlotte didn’t fall for his sinful grin, and she surely didn’t fall at his feet like all the other women in Brock’s past.
She challenged him.
Living with a past that haunted her daily, she made a choice...to never be weak again.
Brock had no idea what hit him when she walked into his life. And the chance of him remaining the same cocky, arrogant guy he was prior to Charlotte’s impact was impossible.
They were electrifying together. They were Sinful…
But will they have what it takes to make it through the hardest of times? Or will they default back to old ways?
It’s not the first book by this author I read, but the first one I rate. And I rate and review this one because…I couldn’t believe it, but… this book is safe!!! *surprise* I really liked the h. Charlie lost her mother and sister , but she found the strength to live, fight and help other women to learn how to defense themselves. I have only respect for such person!!! h was strong, but also vulnerable. I liked how she stood up for herself and she was hilarious and sarcastic sometimes. The H was ok. It’s not my favorite type of the H – former manwhore, . But there was no other H in the story, so I learned to like this one. *lol* He was actually sweet and caring to the h, I also liked his interaction with h’s father. My only struggle was the conflict (or even more its solution) toward the end. h assumed the H to have some STDs because he was a manwhore in the past. (It happened after she came home from the girls-only-night and the girls brought up H’s manwhore past; and the h was tipsy) And? Where was the problem?! I didn’t get why the author tried to blame the h? It’s self-evident, that a man who slept with many women may have an STD (and in the real life he would most likely have one or two – because in the real life (obviously not in the novels) the condoms are not 100% safe and there are many STDs which may be “gained” through oral sex). So, back to the story…Where was the problem? Why everybody made the h feel guilty? I would only ask her why she didn’t broach it before she slept with him (even if they used condoms!) She had every right to tell him that and she had every right to feel insecure - IMO! Apart from that the book was good; not light and sweet, but deep and thoughtful.
Charlotte knows a player when she sees one nad Brock is pure player. Brock knows it is time to grow up but he can't seem to break the cycle. When he meets Charlotte though he sees a game changer, but Charlotte wants nothing to do with him. Will Brock convince Charlotte he is worth a chance?
Another great read from CA Harms. I liked how this story started, it was pretty funny and the introduction of Charlotte is great. Brock was wonderful the more you got to know him. Definitely worth picking up.
There's a theme in this series. The h's all have some kind of past trauma, the H's are all man-ho's but are completely redeemed once they are with the h. There are ow/om who cause conflict but it's always a misunderstanding with the ow/om really trying to stir up s**t (that does get annoying at times). Overall a pretty worthy series especially since it was super cheap.
Love this book. Love Charlotte and Brock’s romance story. This book starts with Brock looking like a womanizer. He meets Charlotte during this time. Charlotte starts working for Kole and ends up doing a defense class for mainly women. Brock decides to go to the class and ends up being able to get paired with Charlotte. Charlotte decides to use Brock as a volunteer for the class. Before Brock could even tell what was happening, Charlotte has him on the floor. Natalie, Lexi, and Megan end up laughing at Brock. Brock and Charlotte decide on being friends but they both can feel the chemistry between them. Natalie invites Charlotte to her wedding. At the wedding, Charlotte and Brock decide to give a relationship a chance. Love how these two end up together. Worth the read
CA Harms writes beautiful stories with beautiful happily ever afters!
When I started Sinful, I didn't want to like Brock. I had felt sorry for him but hated the way he acted and the bad choices he made. As I read I began to realize he was more than the guy he showed the world. When he met Charlotte he finally realized he wanted to be a better man. Charlotte had her own issues to deal with but Brock and Charlie just fit. I found that I had fallen just a little bit in live with Brock!! Once again CA Harms has written a beautiful and emotional love story that will have you laughing, crying and cheering these two on, as they chase their happily ever after! And nobody does happily ever afters as good as CA Harms!
Brock moved to get a fresh start but fell back into his man whoring ways. Charlie had seen the worst in people, she watched as her mother and sister were killed and struggled with her own grief. Brock was firmly put into the friend zone until Adam’s wedding when he decided to go for. Charlie has seen a different side to Brock, one that was hard not to fall in love with. When Charlie gets some devastating news she tries to pull away from Brock. Can Brock prove that he is here for her or will Charlie push him further away?
This was a pretty good series overall. I enjoyed the characters and really like that there was a theme that was addressed throughout the books. It is a tough topic that people do not always want to deal with. Brock I thought was a jerk but everyone had their demons that they need to address...including Charlotte. Again the insecurities can be irrational but based on circumstances understandable. I definitely recommend this series to others and I hope they enjoy it as well.
I'm so sad to see this series end! I have loved getting to know these characters and their stories! Brock is such a sweet lovable guy and Charlie with major hurts in her past doesn't trust easily but with Brock there is no denying the chemistry! Through a roller coaster of ups and downs Charlie and Brock navigate their new relationship!
I loved this entire series and I loved this book as much as all of the others. It was so good! Read all the others first, not because you have ton it because the back stories are there and the books are fantastic!!
This has been another fantastic series by CA Harms, her work as always enchanted me and I haven’t been able to set them down since I started them! I binge read them all one after the other and am running on so little sleep but it was totally worth it!
This was Brock’s story and I have to admit I wasn’t sure if he could redeem himself. He hasn’t shown the best judgement in Adam’s story so I was pretty nervous with where this book was going to take us but he definitely won me over in the end!
Charlotte has lived through some horrific events and she has struggled for years trying to overcome the demons the events have left haunting her! Charlotte was one tough chick and I have to say I really liked her! She had so much strength both inside and outside that you couldn’t help but admire her character!
CA Harms stories are something I always look forward to reading, I am constantly binging on them when I get the chance to jump into a new book of hers and I have loved each and every one I have read so far, I cant wait for whats coming next from this amazingly talented author!!
This is a great book! I couldn't put it down until the end. I love the characters. Charlotte (Charlie) has survived a horrific tragedy and used it to make herself strong and independent yet underneath it all she is still vulnerable. The way the character is written she feels so real to me. Brock is sexy, arrogant and makes me laugh at times. He is the perfect example of the saying you can't judge a book by its cover. Underneath his reckless facade is a man with a wonderful heart. I thought the plot was creative, the author brought past events to the present and the emotions involved felt so real. I also love the interaction with the characters from the Desired Affliction series 1-3. I like a little humor, a little angst and a lot of passion in my reads, this book delivers!
What an amazing end to this series!!! I think Brock and Charlotte are my favorites! Charlotte is a feisty woman who can handles Brock's big ego and actually knock him back a few notches!
Charlotte's story will break for heart but Brock will be there to heal it!
Well written characters. Its the trifecta for readers; you will laugh, cry and will beg for me!
This was a very enjoyable read. It had some very serious dark things happen to Charlotte to make her the was she is. After getting caught in the men's locker room I didn't think Brock could redeem himself but he did.
What a great series I really enjoyed reading about all these close friends and knid of sad that its probably the end to the series. Great job C A Harms
I couldn't wait for brocks book and it definitely didn't disappoint. Charlie was pretty kick ass. Loved that they all were in the book but Brock is my favourite
