It takes a lot of time to weave 9 books together. If you are reading this review then I’m sure you read the previous 8 so I need not tell you anymore. If you just came across this book and are reading this review but have not read any from the series then I suggest you start from the beginning. You will not be disappointed. Happy reading.
I cannot recommend The Ember Wars series more highly. I DO strongly recommend starting at the first book, as the series builds on previous events and character building. If you are a space opera fan like myself, this is a "must read" series.
what a beautiful creation and it all came from Richard Fox’s imagination, he is truly a master. Also a perfect choice of getting Luck Daniels to narrate this series, he have done a perfect job which probably nobody else could have matched.
I was lucky because unknowingly I’ve started listening to Tera Nova and for unknown reason while I was listening about 5 minutes into the audiobook I decided to read a few reviews and every one said to first listen to this series before moving on to Tera Nova and I already owned all 9 audiobooks so I’ve listened to the reviewers and happy that I’ve done so. Any way 9 audiobooks in 9 days that’s how good this series is, you just can’t put it down or stop. One thing that I must say, without Stendlish, Standrich or however you spell his name I can’t tell because I’ve not read the book I’ve listened to the audiobook so forgive me about this but without his character this series would have been as half as good, Richard the author knew exactly what he was doing!
As I’ve said one of the best series I’ve ever listened to if not theeee best!!!
Absolutely full heartedly recommended without a doubt to all !
Got to give this one just four stars unfortunately. Richard Fox is a very good writer, bringing his characters and the world they live in to life. Most of the books in The Ember War Saga series are fleshed out, full stories with many little sidebars on the various races, cultures, and minor characters that inhabit his universe. This book, the last in the series, just feels a little too rushed by comparison. The main plot is hurried and the final struggle (battle) is overly brief on descriptive narrative.
I wasn’t sold on the series after the first book or two but it really grew on me. The characters, which seemed at first to be quite plain, turned out to be both deep and interesting. The author played the overall plot line well throughout the series.
Fantastic series. Brilliantly written. Characters, people and others, are wonderful.
This series is magnificent. The story, the intricate.plots, just terrific. The writing and, characterizations are,top notch. Mr. Fox's writing is up there, with Anderle and Asimov; for me. As good a group of stories,as the,Kutherian ones. Read them all, safe journey.
This series got progressively better as the books went on. Nine fun and hectic stories of the rebirth of Earth. Summer beach reads at best, but we all know the summer beach read is the best kind of read.
This is how a mega-series should end. All the loose ends are tied up. Yet, there is plenty of room for more stories about individuals who are the main characters throughout the series. Should be interesting to see what happens next.
I loved these books all nine in this series. The characters were well written, the story was epic in proportion to the many species in this universe. I loved the humour, the honour and the battles. I look forward to more from this author 10/10
All nine books, Iron Dragoons made me read all nine books.
The Ember War series was one book after another. I couldn't wait to read the next in the series. It started with Iron Dragoons. Good and evil get their due in the last chapter. Wonderful read.
Well what can I bloody fantastic gripping stories. Only the 2 Terra Nova books to read them I will have completed the full set hopefully Richard Fox will come up with some great storylines
După zeci de ore petrecute în universul Ember War Saga, finalul a venit ca o gură de aer proaspăt. Aproape nimic n-a fost surprinzător, dar chiar și așa am găsit satisfacție atunci când totul se termină în modul în care te așteptai.
This is my second time reading this series. It is so interesting I wanted to read it straight through without having to wait for the next book to be released. It has great characters and an intriguing storyline with lots of action also.
This tool all the disparate ends and threads of stories into a nice package. Anger, betrayal, revenge, all laid out and woven together in a good book concluding the series.
An emotional ending to a truly awesome series, the final book in the Ember Wars series ties it together and sets up the next two series. I read this on Kindle Unlimited.
A fantastic end to a great series Filled with great and endearing characters Fast paced sci-fi military action! For fans of startrek/Babylon 5 and Starship Troopers!
Loved this series. However the Baileys Australian slang is not quite right in some parts. But hey really good story..cant decide who my favourite character is maybe cortarra.
