Treasure Love. Funny how her last name is love, but that’s the one thing in life that she isn’t experiencing. Treasure suffered a lot of things at the hands of her mother’s boyfriend, William, but the biggest one would have to be the rapes that she took from him. At the age of sixteen, Treasure gave birth to a beautiful baby girl, but how was it possible to convince people that the same baby girl she gave birth to was her supposedly little sister? What happened to Treasure that turned her into this broken-hearted girl?Meet Malakai Black, aka Sticks. Sticks is the man to see, with his beautiful daughters Maya and Camryn, but his baby mamas give him hell. Sticks just knew that all of these women were the same and that they were only after him for his money, but what happens when he meets Ms. Treasure Love for the first time? Could she be the one to convince him that all women aren’t the same? Or could he be the one to fix Treasure’s broken heart?
I swear my heart went out to Miss.Treasure Love. She didn't deserve nothing that she's been going through with her trifling mother and William. Deep down I feel as though her mom know the truth about Miracle and just acting dumb. I hope when I start reading part 2 that William would be long gone with his disgusting self. I love how Malakai came into her life at the right moment and became her knight and shining armor. I feel sorry for little Miss.Camryn but I know once her daddy finds out, it's gone be some trouble. I know Ms.Sway pregnant by Trell and haven't told him yet but I also hope he get his act together and stop thinking so much into the pass and thinking he's not capable of loving a woman with his whole heart. I sooooo can't wait for part 2 because this was an incredible read and I enjoyed every last page. Excellent work Diamond Johnson
You never let me down!!! This girl went through a lot but I know she will come out on top.... This book definitely took me through the emotions but overall a good read... Her mother and her boyfriend definitely had me mad and the ending!!!!! READY for part 2.
I loved this whole storyline and I’m curious to see what Malachi will do once he learns Treasures story. William is a sick bastard and deserves everything he’s about to get. I’ve never wished death on anyone before but right now I’m wishing he was dead.
I'm so in love with this book. Treasure has been through so much in life and it seems like she keeps taking kicks. I'm hoping that Stix stays true and stands by his girl. This book has me on my toes waiting on the next release.
I love everything about Treasure truly. William and her mother can go straight to hell! William is sick for taking advantage of his own daughter technically!
This is an ok read so far. I really hate that Treasure is soooo freaking weak, like she’s like such a downer. I understand everything she went through as a kid, but she’s grown now and she’s just not doing it for me. Even though she looks after miracle, she doesn’t do much the nurse is always with her. She don’t take her out, even if it’s just for a walk. Then why would u leave your daughter with your mother and the man that was raping you? I don’t get it, then it’s like why not tell somebody what happened to you at least the nurse so that she knows exactly what she is protecting the baby from? You see how she reacts to William and she basically ignoring the same signs her mother ignored with her. I really hope in the next book we see growth with her. As far as Sticks go, I really don’t care for him. All he talks about really is how much money he has and his houses, cars, and clothes he wears. It got annoying real quick. Also if your baby momma is such a deadbeat and you always running to the hospital about your daughter, why do you keep leaving her with her momma? Anybody with common sense knew the child was getting abused. What happened to the shoes he bought for Treasure cuz he never gave them to her? Everyone felled with the kids in this story, and this is y I hate when authors include children in the story they are always an after thought. The adults always ignore obvious signs something is wrong, you never really read about them spending time with the kids. All you hear is how much they supposedly love their children. I hate the ending of this book, I felt like that should have never been added. Ik it’s happening all over the world but this baby already going through so much.
I know good and damned well William ain’t molest that baby!!! I mean he probably did something to her since he did molest her mama but damn that’s his daughter and he in there trying to get his rocks off because she deaf and blind. Fuck you mean!!!
I hated this part of the story, when Treasure’s mama said:
“Girl, nothing was going to happen to her little retarded ass! I been thinking about putting her lil ass up for adoption anyway. That thing knows she can get on my damn nerves,”
KEEP IN MIND SHE TALKING ABOUT A BLIND AND DEAF FIVE YEAR OLD 🤬🤬🤬
Now Treasure’s mama I just really don’t like that bitch. If your child is on her knees begging you not to leave her alone with this man, what kind of fucked up do you have to be to still leave her with him???
Now to the bitch Autumn... how the fuck you beating on your four year daughter cause you’re jealous that her daddy is there for her and yours wasn’t!!!
Trell..all I got to say about you right now is:
Get your shit together before Sway leave your ass for good. LET GO OF THE FUCK BOY TENDENCIES‼️‼️‼️
Wow, what an introduction!!! Very good!!! First time reading this author...
What an introduction! This is not my usual cup of tea, but I must say it was not that bad. Now this is my first time reading this author and although I prefer my main lady character to be more bad to the bone, strong intelligent, this was somewhat ok, not great yet, but ok. Treasure was really dealt a bad hand since the beginning, but I actually was ok with the introduction on her character which I hope will change now because all of these self pity is done for now. You were in a bad situation, you decide to take it and do what you are doing, but this is on you baby girl. With all of the harshness going on in the real world, it's ok to read it sometimes to stay grounded, but these books also serve the purpose for us readers to escape and fantasize so now enough with the crocodile tears. Malakai "sticks" was a breath of fresh air, a protector, knight in shining armor type, alpha, boss, thug and very down to earth. Unapolegic of nothing, he goes with his feelings and this is why he is bae 365 days a year. The rest of the crew so far is shady and somewhat perfect, from Sway, being beautiful perfect, to Trell and Reese being faithful and loyal(except for Trell so far), to Autumn whom I think will have a major play since she and Janay were the only female having their own POV in this intro, but book 2 may change all that. So for now, I won't say too much on Autumn and Janay except that so far I think karma should make a quick and early visits to these two because it's needed.
Life is hard for Treasure, a young woman who is struggling to provide for her "sister" Miracle, while trying to fight off the advances if her mother's boyfriend, William. While at work one night, she meets Sticks and someone wants her to regret it.
Sticks earned his name by the business that he's in. The only thing more important than his money, is his two daughters. When he sees Treasure at the IHOP and the way some of his friends are treating he, he is instantly attracted to her and determined to know more. When harm comes her way, he deals with those who are responsible. Unbeknownst to him, there is some jealousy in his crew.
This book grabbed me from page one and left me wanting more. I loved everything about this story except when Sticks didn't come back to pick Treasure up from work on the night of the accident. He should've been there. I also hated everything about Treasure's mother and her less than nothing boyfriend.
If you haven't read this one by @_diiamondddd_, I would highly recommend that you check it out.
I love the way the story was set up. The characters are well developed and you either love them or hate them. I'm interested to see where this story goes. I took stars off for bad editing. There are numerous grammatical errors and some facts of the story contradict one another. For example, in the span of a paragraph, Sticks says his nickname comes from him selling guns and turns around and says he got the nickname when he was younger because he liked to tote a stick. In the same couple of paragraphs he says he's 30 then it changes to him being 29. Overall I love the books by Diamond J but she needs an editor to flush out the mistakes and her work would be flawless. I love the story though, and would recommend.
It's crazy how a mother can be stupid n blind to what is going on in her household or just don't care at all. Treasure's mother seems to only care about her so called man but yet will not believe anything her daughter tells her. How can a mother live with the fact that's under her nose her man has literally raped her daughter n now her grandchild which is his own flesh n blood. How can a man sick do something like that to Miracle? I believe he deserved what he got but just hope treasure doesn't lose her freedom behind it. I am glad she has found someone to care and love her she needed it since her mother doesn't show her any love.
It’s sad that some people disregard their child/ children or kids when they get involved with someone I was sad for Treasure because she didn’t ask to be on this earth and for William to hurt her like how her did and threaten her about keeping their secret she is a strong girl because most people will break I love how despite her situation Treasure made a promise to herself and her baby girl Miracle that she will do everything in her power to make sure they leave behind her toxic past and stride to be great for their future together can’t wait to read part 2 to see how Treasure going to handle her mom and William
Treasure has been through it an being sheltered with no friends not knowing her true beauty she has heavy burdens on her shoulder. Treasure has a mom but she ignores treasure for her no good boyfriend William who is sick. Treasure works hard to take care of miracle and a night at work she meets malaki who sees something in her. Malaki changes treasure life and shows her better but she still has secrets that he doesn't know. Treasure starts to live a little but keeping miracle safe is her main concern until she snaps...ready for 2 asap
I swear I really hate cliffhangers 😫omg this one ended with my heart racing ... it's so craz bcz at the beginning of meeting Treasure you quickly become attached to he personality. He crazy thing is that she's been violated by her moms boyfriend d her mom seems to not have noticed signs. Now that she's met Sticks he's so smitten on her but she's so niece she doesn't even see how into her he is. I really hoe he gets her to turnaround and become confident in herself which I'm sure he will. Happy reading
Treasure can’t catch a break. I know her mother knows what her boyfriend did to her. I willing to bet she knows that’s their daughter as well, that’s why she treats her so bad. William is sick and he needs to handled. Now Malakai is a boss, baby he about to change her life. I wanted to beat his BM up for jumping Treasure. He’s going to hurt his other BM once he finds out what she’s been doing to his daughter. Diamond is a best with the writing and never disappoints me.
The book started and ended with a bang!!!...I'm ticked all the way off that her mom is acting like the boyfriend is not the problem... She's jealous of her daughter and wanna keep her feeling low about herself!!!...I would have tried to slice that thang thang off that nasty man!!!...
This book is great, I love how it touches on child abuse, sexual assault and poverty. Treasure is a beautiful girl but what she’s going through is real and I don’t wish upon anyone. Sticks is a life savior but how long will he save Treasure not knowing all her secrets. I can’t wait for book 2
The title drew me in and the story line kept me turning pages. Treasures mother is a birch and I know she knows what's going on in her house. I can wait for Mal to beat his butt. Come on part two
Treasure has been through so much horrible things in her young life . I really enjoyed this read couldn't put it down .Can't wait to read part 2 to find out what happened to Sway and Treasure and the men that they love .
That sick bastard! Poor Treasure! I can't wait for part 2. I'm in my feelings about this. I'm looking for my Sticks also. This man is a godsend for Treasure. William's ole nasty self would do that to Treasure and his own daughter. He needs his s&@$ cut off.
Well written I hope her mom's boyfriend dies he is discuss ting and the momaint sh @#$$ either I think she knows what her man did to her daughter and don't care I hope everything works out for her and her baby
This book was everything from beginning to end drama action intense couples up and down suspense puzzle revelation revealed well written every page drama like treasure and slick relationship can't wait for others relationship to see where it go
This poor girl has endured so much in her young life. But despite her circumstances she keeps pushing. Kept me up because the storyline is very intriguing. Kept me locked in.
Omg what did he do?? William just don't have a decent bone in his body. Poor Treasure just cant catch a break. Her mom is so trifling.. Omg.... Her only heaven is Sticcs and Miracle.... I'm gonna continue the series. My mouth dropped a couple of times!!
This was great book...I've never hated a character as much as I do William and Treasure's mom....I'm glad Treasure has Sticks...I enjoyed all the drama in this book. I can't wait to see what's going to happen next in part 2...this is most definitely a must read...
I've read 4 books from Diamond Johnson previously, and she hasn't disappointed me yet. I think I'm a new fan of this author. I love the in depth character development she executes and the realistic quality she provides to each of them
I have read a few of her books , but never commented. Shed very talented and I enjoyed this first part of this series. Her books are captivating and you are hooked after the first few pages. Keep writing I am a fan for life.
My heart went out to Treasure & what she experienced in that household with William. Her mother was the worse. Sticks was a gem when dealing with Treasure. Both of his daughter's mother need to disappear. Good beginning to the series. On to next part
OMG!!!this book is so good, I can't wait to see what is going to happen next, I can't believe what William has done. Will Treasure tell her boyfriend everything? Very good book..
