Loved this one set in the rain forests of South America Dr Chance Freeman works tirelessly for the people that need medical help the most by having travelling clinics he has been married and divorced and most people who come to help don't stay long especially beautiful woman Doctors well that is what he feels anyway until Dr Ellen Cox arrives.

Ellen has been taking risks all of her life well that is what her father says, she comes from a wealthy family but after an accident that took her mother when she was young she has worked hard to become a doctor and wants to help so she pushes of the shackles that have held her close to her father and makes haste to Honduras and is looking forward to finally meeting Dr Chance Freeman and helping in his clinics.

Chance takes one look at the new Doctor arriving and is reminded of his ex wife she is beautiful and does not look like she will fit into this harsh land and the work that is involved. Chance is drawn to Ellen in so many ways but he is determined to ignore this pull but when Ellen shows how hard she can work and that she is also good at standing up to him well things are going to change especially when their lives are in grave danger.

This is a fabulous story a medical romance that really ticks all of the boxes danger and suspense thrown in and fabulous setting and a very sensual pull and an ending that will have you smiling and sighing. I highly recommend this one to all readers of romance who love fast paced stories with a very sexy Doctor and a strong heroine who so very much deserve each other you have another keeper here MS Carlisle.

Dr. Chance Freeman works in clinics giving medical help wherever needed, sometimes in places other doctors would not go.  He is a little jaded after his marriage and divorce. His wife was beautiful so he believes beautiful women cannot work well in unforgiving areas like the rain forests of South America.  Ellen grew up in a wealthy family and is a very beautiful women but she worked hard to become a doctor.  She wants to help people so  looks forward to the opportunity of meeting Dr. Freeman and working in his clinic.  Sparks fly as Chance doesn't believe Ellen is going to be able to deal with all the challenges he faces but  Ellen shows him she is much more then he gives her credit for especially when standing up to him when their lives are in danger. If you enjoy medical romances Ms. Carlisle has written a wonderful one here, a great story for all romance readers with a bit of suspense thrown in and best of all enjoying how Chance and Ellen get their HEA.

The Doctor’s Sleigh Bell Proposal by Susan Carlisle
Dr. Ellen Cox goes to South America to make a new start. Away from a doting father who wants to know her every move. She goes to the rain forest to be part of the traveling clinics. At times it can be dangerous there but she was certainly not planning to fall in love.
Dr. Chance Freeman heads up that traveling clinic and being that he is divorced he is female shy. Not about to make a repeat of his life again. By just one look he judges that Dr. Cox will not last long out there in the rain forest. But she proves him wrong and while there they keep feeling that total pulling at heart strings and eventually their love.
Susan Carlisle lures you in with the first paragraph and keeps you reading till done. It is a wonderful written medical romance which is my all-time favorite to read.
They find drug dealers who want the Dr.’s drugs from the clinic; they find bugs and other things that just make it hard to deal with. Dr. Cox becomes ill and Dr. Freeman sends her home to safety and to heal but then he finds he has made a huge mistake and goes to find her a make her his.

A good and action packed story. From the title, I expected more of a holiday story, but the book still held my attention until the end.

I enjoyed the storyline well enough, but the copy editing was inexcusably poor, and the dialog often felt stilted.
