*JACKSON is a standalone romance with a guaranteed HEA* Meet the Croft brothers. Filthy rich, devastatingly handsome, and sexy as all hell… JACKSON I don’t do slow and easy. I do fast and hard. I don’t do dates. I do … arrangements. I don’t do romance, love, flowers, hearts, candy, and I sure as hell don’t do marriage. Until my father dies, and decides to leave his company to the first one of his sons to get married. Croft International. The business that’s supposed to be mine. But I didn’t get to be where I am by giving up. I’ll just find a wife. How hard can it be? Until Emily walks into my office, all spitfire and passion, her curves encased in a dress that makes me c*ck throb. I tell myself I’m just using her. I tell myself it’s just business. So what if she doesn’t know that’s what I’m doing? All I have to do is convince her to marry me. But with each moment that passes—each look, each touch, each word out of Emily’s perfect lips—I wonder how I’ll ever survive being tempted by her…

This story finished at 47%. I did not like it. The premise has been done many times before and done much better than this poor attempt. There were so many grammatical errors and mistakes littered throughout the book which I hate. I didn't like the characters, main and supporting so I'll not be reading the others in this series.

This could have been good...

If the editing wasn't so crappy.
Storyline was okay, but having to figure out where words are missing or on the wrong place gets old after a while

This is the first book in the Billionaire Croft Brothers series by Paige North. Jackson Croft is 28 years old, he's the oldest having two younger brothers named Miles and Rex. Their Father was a dickhead always pitting the three of them against each other and making everything a competition especially for his love and attention. Their Father started Croft International, Jackson runs the main office in Boston where he worked closely with his Father and Miles runs the New York City and Rex runs the Los Angeles office. Their Father recently passed away and put a stipulation in his will that the first son who got married would get control of the whole company. This comes as a shock to all three sons because their father didn't care about marriage and everyone including Jackson thought he would be made CEO. The three brothers don't get along with each other at all so it's every brother for himself. Emily is a grad student who also works for a charity organization that helps educate children. Tired of being rescheduled by Jackson Croft's secretary she barges her way into his office to try and solicit a donation from him. Jackson is shocked by the pushy beautiful woman and tells her he'll donate $100,000 if she has dinner with him. Emily refuses his offer and leaves when she gets to work she is shocked to find out he donated the money anyway. When she calls and thanks him he asks her to dinner again and she accepts this time.

From the moment I started reading this book I couldn't put it down...it was a page turner!!! Jackson is one of 3 brothers in the Croft family and his whole life has been about being the best he can be and never settling for second best. He is a rich sexy handsome alpha male who doesn't do relationships and doesn't like to have any strings attached. He has sacrificed everything to be the one who would take over Croft International but when his Father passes away everything that he was lead to believe comes crashing down.

Emily is a young naive grad student who works part time for a children's charity. Emily's has a very close relationship with her family and they all have strong beliefs in the importance of charity work. So when Jackson attempts to cancel yet another meeting with Emily for her charity she is annoyed at how arrogant and callous he is and won't be brushed off by him again.

Jackson isn't used to being pressed for anything so Emily's initiative and stubbornness take him by surprise and intrigues him more than anything; and he won't be denied. But what starts out as a simple dinner quickly becomes more than what he bargained for and Jackson is completely enraptured by Emily.

The passion between Jackson & Emily is scotching hot and their sex is primal and raw!!! If you like sex hard and uninhibited this is the book for you. I definitely recommend this book and can't wait for the next one to see what happens. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review and originally posted this on another website on November 27, 2016.

Stuffy Jackson!

I like how Emily barges into Jackson’s office and literally turns his world upside down. She works for a charity and wants a donation from his company. She will not take no for a answer. He tries to proposition her but she stands her ground. He falls for her and gives in. He is all about work. That was instilled into him. He thought he would run Croft International being the oldest but his father’s will changes everything. His father has stipulations to which of his three sons would run the company. Jackson looses Emily but realizes that company doesn’t mean more to him than her. He has to fight for Emily if he wants her in his life. I liked their story. I would recommend it

Great book

Absolutely enjoyed this book. Storyline, characters and book lengthy was outstanding. AMAZING COVER!!! Thought not sure what the next book has awaiting my what mind...I hope Jackson and Emily return. There are unanswered questions from this book. Example her parents, schooling to his offer about starting a charity. Hope some of not all those questions are answered in book 2. Would recommend book.

Second book I've read by this author recently, but it had probably even more errors than the other one. Grammatical errors, wrong words, missing words, extra words: all could have been greatly reduced or eliminated with a good proofreader. Story wasn't bad, but I'll probably avoid this author from now on.

Loved the Croft brothers

Paige North is a wonderful author. Loved her series of the Croft brothers. Rex, Miles, and Jackson are competing to be CEO of their father's company per his will. They will states the first one to be married would run the company. Enjoyed this book about the oldest brother just as much as the books about the other brothers.

I wanted to like this book more than I actually did. Putting aside the grammatical errors, the storyline was decent. However, it some things moved quickly and seemed slightly off.

This book was too much like every other book in the forced marriage trope. It didn’t hold my interest and I gave up on it 30% in.

While I enjoyed the book and the budding relationship between Jackson and Emily, I don't really feel like this is a complete standalone as it appears their story will continue in the 2nd book. The grammatical and spelling errors through the book were a bit distracting. Paige does have a knack for creating very hot and steamy sex scenes.

Jackson by Paige North is the first book in her series The Billionaire Croft Brothers. She's a new author for me and my first thought, after a few pages, was that it was going to be a really good read. I enjoyed the story, but it was incredibly short - not even 50% of the book - and there were considerable errors in the story with wrong context, words repeated and so on. It comes down to poor proof reading and that wasn't acceptable with such a short story that was 47% of the printed 350 pages. I don't mind if there are bonus stories, as long as I am forewarned; but to have more than half a book filled with another authors work without warning is not really considerate of the buyer.

Good read

Cannot wait to read Miles book. This introduction to this scandalous family was good. The deceased father was truly an evil and conniving man. Emily's family disappointed me with their judgemental attitudes toward Jackson. I will not spoil the book but it is a good read with a HEA but a cliffhanger regarding future of the company. Reading book two right now.

I was really enjoying this story but was sad that it ended halfway through and a whole new story started.. I was really getting into it too. But that said I really like the story and am now reading the second book to this story so can't wait to see what happens and hope that it continues from this story.

1. I kept swooning with Jackson. He was just so sweet, considerate, ugh.
2. Her family was awful. Who did they think they were, mother freaking Teresa? Give me a break.
3. Emily judging Jackson so quickly kinda hurt. He was always good to her, what about the benefit of the doubt?

Mediocre

This is fairly a fairly generic book, playboy billionaire meets woman who takes over his life and he falls in love. Pretty routine for this type of romance nothing special nothing to really hold the interest, fairly typical for this genre.

Sexy book

This is a good story line I feel it should have gone further into what happens next but I have hope Paige will pull that off in Miles (which is book 2 in this series) I did find a few errors that I am quite positive would have been caught with more thorough editing.

Enjoyed...

This story quite a bit. Characters made it entertaining, and the quirky lines mixed in made me wonder. But all in all its a good read, and I'm looking forward to reading Miles,

Spelling

The story and characters deserve 4 stars. If there was no spelling errors. I would of given this book 4 stars. If you are going to publish a book and ask for money. Than by all means there should be no spelling or grammar errors.
